This ought to frighten every American to his/her core. Below is an excerpt from a letter sent to the President from a few republican members of the US Senate recently:

“Several Senators have learned of a possible plan by the Obama Administration that would provide a mass Amnesty for the nation's 11-18 million illegal aliens. Led by Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), eight Senators addressed a letter to the President asking for answers to questions about a plan that would allow DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano to provide an amnesty if they can't secure enough votes for a bill in the Senate.

The letter that was sent to Pres. Obama earlier today asks the President for clarification on the use of deferred action or parole for illegal aliens. The executive actions are typically used in special cases and are evaluated on a case-by-case basis, but if 60 votes can't be secured in the Senate to pass a mass Amnesty, the Administration may use the discretionary actions as an alternative.” (SOURCE)

That letter was signed by: Sens. Grassley, Hatch (R-Utah), Vitter (R-La.), Bunning (R-Ky.), Chambliss (R-Ga.), Isakson (R-Ga.), Inhofe (R-Okla.), and Cochran (R-Miss.).

Rumors are flying and tempers are flaring in Washington, DC as rumors that President Obama intends to grant amnesty to nearly 20 million illegal aliens, already residing within the United States, with the stroke of his pen. It would take the form of a Presidential Executive Order. Outrage is spreading among the legal citizens of the US with the rapidity of a prairie fire in August.

Americans are concerned that by nothing more than the stroke of a pen Obama could grant the amnesty.

It was revealed recently that Obama has no intention of securing the southern border with Mexico until his Comprehensive Immigration Reform bill is passed. You know, the “Amnesty for Illegal Aliens bill.”

This certainly not something my fellow Americans can just shrug off!

It has become clear over the first few months of the Obama Regime that the American President is a socialist with strong dictatorial leanings. His sidling up to Hugo Chavez in Venezuela is proof enough, for many of us, that he admires Mr. Chavez’ type government (Socialist/Marxist) and Obama’s actions have certainly led us to believe that he favors “dictating” over administering a constitutional “REPRESENTATIVE” republic.

This “amnesty by executive order” will prove, once and for all, the evolution of Obama into an American dictator.

We have been warning since the presidential campaign, back in 2008, that this is where Obama would eventually take the United States. His narcissistic personality shone through, even then, and frightened many conservative commentators who warned time and time again that an administration led by Obama would be dangerous to our constitutional republic.

Obama has shown time and again that he will brook no disagreement from anyone within his Regime. He rules with an iron fist.

The American people are as angry as I have ever seen them in my nearly seven decades on this planet. Their fuse is growing extremely short. If Obama signs the rumored executive order, granting amnesty to the millions of illegal aliens in the US today, I am convinced it will be the last straw, and it will push outraged Americans, who have seen their country go from a Constitutional Republic to a Banana Republic, much like those in South American countries, over the edge sparking the unthinkable.

IF Obama goes through with this Amnesty by Executive Order, it is almost certain there will be attempts in the Congress to impeach him. But with Obama’s minions in charge of the Congress there is little chance impeachment proceedings would ever see the light of day. Should this happen, it is all but certain there will be an uprising, of some sort, by the American people.

The US is a country founded through revolution. As a direct descendant of a number of Confederate soldiers, I am not unfamiliar with the dangers to the citizens when a government uses it’s mailed fist to do whatever it pleases, the law not withstanding.

Look, those of us who are sentient beings are aware that the US has reached something of a “tipping point.” We have reached that apex of stress and fear at which anything is possible. Somehow, our so-called leadership does not see it, nor feel it, insulated as they are from those they supposedly represent. THAT is what makes this point in our history such an extremely dangerous time.

Something is about to happen. You can feel it.

Americans will not abide an oppressive government one second longer than it must. We are headed toward an event, on this continent, the likes of which the world has not seen since the 1770’s.

America is divided into two camps and we are rushing toward each other like two run-away locomotives. The inevitable crash will change things, not just in America, but planet-wide.

Divine intervention would be greatly appreciated just now.

CNSNews.com reports the following: “The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) voted on Thursday to begin the formal process of bringing the Internet under greater federal control – a move sought by both President Barack Obama and FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski--even though federal law calls for an Internet "unfettered by Federal or State regulation." The report goes on to say: “The FCC is now trying to reclassify the Internet to broaden its authority over the Web.”

How is Obama’s FCC planning to get their mailed fist around the throat of the Internet? It is very simple, really. CNSNews informs us in their report how they will do it. The report says: “The 3-2 party-line vote on Thursday at the FCC began the formal process of reclassifying the Internet as a telecommunications service instead of an information service – its current classification. This is necessary because, as an information service, the government has little power to regulate Internet networks. But the report goes on to explain: “As a telecommunications service, such as a telephone network, the Internet would fall under a much broader regulatory scope – giving the government the power to enforce universal service requirements, making them pay into a federal universal service fund used to provide communications services to poor areas.”

If there was ever a case of the “camel’s nose under the tent,” this is most assuredly IT!

Look, I worked in the broadcast industry for nearly 30 years. I can tell, from experience, that, in my day, the broadcast industry was one of the most government-regulated industries in the country, if not THE most regulated.

To the broadcast industry, the Federal Communications industry is G O D! They say: “JUMP!” and the broadcaster says: “How high?” And he does it while jumping!

So, bloggers enjoy your freedom of speech for a few more months. Experience tells me the end is in sight.

The old soviet KGB has nothing on the agents of the FCC. Expect them to monitor the Internet much as they did the AM and FM broadcast bands. If they hear something they don’t like, you WILL get a visit. It could be a costly visit.

We are convinced that Obama’s FCC is a political machine, a club to be wielded against those who speak out against the Socialists, Marxists, Statists, Progressives, Liberals, and/or Democrats controlling the US government today. Unless the Supreme Court stops them they WILL swing that club and conservative sites, conservative bloggers, especially, will be the very first targets.

See, the Obama Regime must gain control of the communications networks in America. The broadcast networks apparently have voluntarily made a gift of their fealty to the socialist agenda of this regime, as have many in the major print media – that which we often refer to as the Mainstream Media.

As we have so often reminded our readers, Obama promised to “fundamentally change” America. He cannot do that as long as the Internet hosts conservative bloggers who insist on pointing out the socialist agenda of the Obama regime. I am convinced this administration would nationalize the broadcast and print media -- and the Internet -- if they thought they could get away with it. Believe me – if we give them that time, they WILL do it!

Think I am paranoid? Let me assure you, there may be times I would agree with that assessment of my scribbling – but NOT THIS TIME! I KNOW what the FCC can do when they decide to bring the hammer down.

CNSNEWS informs us: “The FCC will now begin the mandatory public comment period, where it will solicit input from private companies and citizens about whether it should reclassify the Internet and, if so, how it should do it.”

If you value a free and open Internet then let your voice be heard. Write the FCC and tell them so -- and demand they back off and leave the Internet alone. Write your Congresspersons and Senators and explain your feelings on this matter to them and ask for their support of a free and open Internet.

I have warned for months, yea, years, that this was coming. I have seen no sense of alarm among fellow bloggers. Maybe it was/is there and I have somehow missed it. I sincerely hope that is the case. I fear it is not.

Believe me, t will take a MASSIVE effort to stop this particular power grab by the Obama Regime. Frankly, I don’t expect those of us who value a free and open Internet to be victorious.
But we have to try!

My close friends refer to me as the original Man of La Mancha. I have a penchant for joisting with windmills. I have been “un-horsed” and knocked on my behind so many times I cannot count them. I have learned a valuable lesson from those painful encounters. That is -- you cannot hope to win, if you don’t attack, and continue to take the battle to the enemy, time and time again for as long as you have the strength to press the attack.

There is the famous story, among we descendants of Confederate soldiers, of the Confederate general who sent a dispatch to General Lee in which he declared that he was totally surrounded by the enemy, cut off from any reinforcements, his troops were decimated, out of ammunition, and their rations were gone. The brave general declared that his situation was hopeless. Therefore, he informed General Lee, he would attack at dawn!

THAT is the attitude we must have as we gear up to fight this attack on the First Amendment of the Constitution.

We must take a stand for freedom and we must do it NOW!

Maybe it is just my natural paranoia at work, but I get the gnawing feeling that somewhere, in a dark corner of the Obama Regime, there is a huddle of “Obamanites” in a whispered discussion in which they examine the possibility of a takeover of the press in the US.

I know, I know. It’s just another conspiracy theory, right? Could be. On the other hand, it IS what a socialist government does -- and make no mistake about it -- the United States is now a socialist state run by a socialist government… at least until November.

Look, bailing out the newspapers is the same as throwing money down a rat hole. What the papers need to survive is readers – subscribers. The are losing readers and subscribers, in droves, because their readers have finally caught on to what can only be described as the mainstream media’s “leftist agenda.” The bottom line is – readers don’t like it and are no longer reading those “leftist rags.”

If the Government does, indeed, devise some way to bail out the major newspapers in America, two things are certain: One – neither the government nor the newspapers will ever refer to it as a “bailout.” Number two -- the government will “own” those newspapers and the government will control what is printed or not printed in them. For a model of how this would work simply check the old Soviet Union.

In the area of North Carolina in which I live there are three daily newspapers. Major newspaper corporations own two of them and one is an independent. All three are leftist papers. If I want to reads balanced news or news with a conservative viewpoint, I must either watch Fox News on TV, or get on the internet and look go to a conservative news site to get it. And that is exactly what those who used to be readers and subscribers of these papers are doing. But the owners and editors of those papers have their heads so far up the leftist agenda they are tone deaf to the oh, so obvious, reason for this vast migration away from their publications!

It is a sad commentary on the mainstream media in the US when Americans find it necessary to use the Internet to go off-shore to find a source of news that will inform us as to what is REALLY happening in our country, and in, what I laughingly refer to as, “our government.” But millions of Americans are doing just that. I am among them.

It is almost a ritual, at my house, to read the paper over morning coffee or breakfast. But, hey, we can do without it. By the time my carrier gets the daily paper to me these days, I have already read the news on the Internet. Such is the era in which we live.

There is already far too much government interference and just plain meddling in the affairs of business in this country. That is the nature of a socialist government such as we have in America today. Call it what you will, journalism protection, bail-outs for newspapers, it still means the government is curling its fingers around the throats of those who own those news organizations and soon they will begin to squeeze. Taking government money means you do as government says.

Those in the Obama Regime who believe that a government should never allow a crisis to go to waste are busy taking advantage of the current financial crisis in America, and around the world, to shove their socialist agenda down the throats of businesses forcing them to accept government control in exchange for a few more months, or years, of existence.

In my opinion those are Faustian deals… selling one’s soul to the devil in exchange for favors from the devil -- even if those favors are just crumbs from his table. Some make the Faustian deals because they believe in the devil’s agenda. Thus it has always been throughout man’s history on this planet.

Look, newspapers are the modern day dinosaurs of the news media. Eventually they will go the way of the dinosaurs. They will become extinct. It is not advisable to interfere with the natural cycle of progress, even in business -- one could say -- ESPECIALLY in business. As the newspapers die off they will make room for whatever is to take their place.

Having no newspaper to peruse over breakfast is much more acceptable than having a newspaper of which the government is the editor. I shudder to even think of it.

Any government bailout of the press, in any form, simply means no more free press.

A government, which controls the flow of information to its citizens, will have ultimate power over those citizens. Under the Obama Regime, America is heading in that direction as directly as a Martin flies to its gourd.

It is called “Net Neutrality.” On April 6th, 2010, the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia ruled that the Federal Communications Commission has no regulating authority over how any Internet provider manages its network -- period!

So what IS Net Neutrality? There is as good an explanaiona as I have found at the Wise Geek’s website. You’ll fine it HERE.

The importance of this issue is the protection of freedom. Will the Internet remain free, or will the government regulate it? That is the question. Obama’s minions are salivating at the opportunity to regulate the hell out of the Internet and shut up commentators such as “yours truly.”

The courts told the FCC this week to “stand back,” and keep their hands off the Internet. But, do not think, for one second, they are about to allow a little thing like the law to get in the way of a take over of the Internet -- not for one second. Already, they are looking at regulating the Internet as a public utility.

Look, we warned and warned and warned that Obama’s Marxist buddies in the FCC and the Congress would come after free speech on the Internet. Well, here they come!

Socialist/Marxist/Progressive Congress persons and Senators are scrambling to get in line to do fulfill Obama’s wish to control the Internet and the free speech on it. They can see the Mid Term Election looming on the distant horizon of November and they know they have limited time to strangle free speech on the Internet with their Marxist chains. Think I’m blowing smoke? Think again. They are vowing to do whatever is necessary to see that the Federal Communications Commission is handed control over providers of Internet services.

“In the long run, we may need a new legal and regulatory framework for broadband,” said Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.), chairman of the Commerce Subcommittee on Communications, Technology, and the Internet. “I know the Congress did not intend for cable and telephone broadband Internet service providers to fall outside the authority of the FCC to protect consumers.”

Rep. Edward Markey (D-Mass.), a senior member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, later said the court’s decision “must not be the final word.” Markey went on to say that he would: “continue to work with my colleagues in Congress to provide the commission any additional authority it may need to ensure the openness of the Internet for consumers, innovators and investors.”

Obama’s cohorts have run into a wall of resistance, however from the republican side of the aisle. Kay Bailey Hutchison of Texas said: “I hope the FCC Chairman will now reconsider his decision to pursue expanded commission authority over broadband services in current proceedings before the agency.”

Rep. Joe Barton (R-Texas), ranking member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee said: “the 1996 Telecommunications Act explicitly directs the government to “preserve the vibrant and competitive free market that exists for the Internet and other interactive computer services, unfettered by federal or state regulation.”

FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski, appointed by Obama with net neutrality as his top priority, has indicated he will try to reclassify broadband in the communications statute passed by Congress in 1996 to broaden the FCC’s authority over the service.

The dems will certainly claim this new power grab is to “protect the citizens” from the big corporations. You can see it coming. Don’t fall for it. It is, as we say, a power grab. The new socialist government in America is bound and determined to control the Internet. It scares the hell out of them -- and with good reason.

The government controls the press in America today. The Mainstream Media may have voluntarily given themselves over to control of the government, but -- in the long run -- it makes no difference. Because, for the first time in America, we have a government controlled mainstream media.

On the other hand the citizen journalists on the Internet are disseminating the news, unedited and unfettered, and it has become an effective weapon against the socialists/marxists controlling the American government today.

Obama’s government MUST crush the Internet and they can, and WILL, do it through the FCC unless they are stopped.

America’s new Socialist Congress is flexing its Stalinist muscles and scooping up the leadership of a number of America’s business giants and forcing them to Washington to an inquisition, which is designed to do two things. One: To make an example of these chosen corporations -- and two: To put the fear of God -- well, allow me rephrase that – to put the fear of the new Soviet-style socialist government into all Americans. The message is: keep your mouth shut and do not question the Obama Regime’s socialist machinations or those of the socialist/democrat congress.

There is a funny; sort of bittersweet, story, which demonstrates what our new socialist Congress, and the Obama Regime, is doing in America today. It is said that once, in the old Soviet Socialist Russia, the Chairman was delivering a speech in Red Square. He was expounding upon the benefits of socialism and how all the soviet peoples were benefiting from it and how even more benefits were in the pipeline to make the lives better for the proletariat.

The Chairman was really getting “into” his speech and had become wound-up in his zeal and began ticking off the many things that the socialist system would provide for “the workers.” At one point the Chairmen said: “Every single soviet family will have a washing machine! If you don’t have a washing machine, let me know, and it will be taken care of!”

A hand shot up near the back of the crowd, The Chairman stopped his rant and pointing to the man with his hand up said: “Yes? What is your name?”

The man answered: “Ivan.”

The Chairman said: “Please continue, Ivan.”

Ivan said: “I have no washing machine.”

The Chairman blustering said: “Why, this is unforgivable.“ Turning to one of his aids he instructed him to take that man’s name so this situation could be rectified.

The next week there was another speech in Red Square and the Chairman was holding forth with the benefits of socialism to the soviet peoples when a hand, near the back of the crowd, shot up. The chairman stopped and pointed to the would be questioner and said, “Yes, what is your question?” Whereupon the man asked: ”Where is Ivan?”

Back in the 1960s it was said this story originated in the Soviet Union, itself. In any event, it is told to demonstrate just how easily such problems are handled when you have a strong central government such as that of the old Socialist Soviet Union, and the one just coming on-line in America today.

The hearings in Washington are being called an “Inquisition” and even a “Show Trial” much as those show trials once held in the “Soviet Union.” Some commentators have said these hearings are the first of the democrats’ “Death Panels.”

Whatever they are, in my opinion, they are right out of the old Socialist Soviet Union’s playbook and Joe Stalin would have been ever so proud!

None of this was unexpected… at least by those of us who have made even a cursory study of world history. I have said often in the past that we have seen this all before – and we have. Back in the 1950s the US Army trained me and my fellow US Army grunts to go to war against socialism and defeat it because it was, in those days, recognized for what it is, the “Killer of Nations.”

It was also understood that socialism was the precursor to full-fledged communism.

As I watched the Obama presidential campaign and it became ever clearer, as the days passed, that he was a full-fledged socialist and, quite likely, a Marxist, as well. We have known for some time that the Democratic Party, long ago, adopted the platform of the Socialist Party. The democrats then claimed it as their own platform. It was clear that if Obama was elected his “socialist assets” were already in place in the US Congress. America was poised for a complete socialist take-over of the entire US Government.

Well, you kow how it played out and the socialist take-over of the US government is now a fait accompli. If even a smidgen of doubt remains, all you have to do is observe the way Obama governs and the way the democrats in Congress govern… I mean with Executive Orders and Czars, plus threats, bribes, show-trials, inquisitions, and out and out thuggery. These are Stalinist Tactics, plain and simple, and they are very effective in bringing a frightened people to heel. It is also extremely effective in manipulating the masses of people, who are “wards of the government,” who depend upon the “government dole” for their continued existence. The New American Socialism as practiced by Obama and the socialist/democrats in the Congress can certainly count on their support no matter how Machiavellian -- no matter how Stalinist -- their behavior becomes.

As I continue to observe socialism at work in Washington, I have concluded the Mainstream Media in America is already government controlled. How else can one explain their total subjection to the New Socialism in Washington? They have completely tossed a side their primary duty, which is to act as a watchdog for the American people, keeping a close eye on the US government and reporting honestly, accurately, and fairly on what that government is doing. Now they print and broadcast “The Party Line” not unlike the press of the old Socialist Soviet Union.

The American people quickly caught on and turned to the “citizen journalists” who have taken to the World Wide Web to report the truth to their fellow citizens instantaneously no matter where in the world they happen to be. The citizen journalist must be brought to heel, because they present a definite threat to the Obama Regime and the New Socialist Government in America.

How long, I wonder, before the knocks on the door at 3 AM. How long before Obama’s secret agents begin to escort dissidents to Washington, to answer some questions about exactly what we meant when we published such words in our commentaries, which are splashed all across the World Wide Web.

The opening salvo has been fired. The show trials and the inquisitions have only just begun. Freedom and liberty cannot co-exist with socialism, Marxism, and communism. Being just a little bit socialist is much like being a little bit pregnant.

The Mid Term Elections in November will decide America’s fate. Either we toss out as many socialists as we possibly can, or we seal our fate as a socialist/communist nation. America cannot be a little bit socialist.

Long before the Progressives got hold of our Public Education system in the United States, educators used to actually teach history. Those days, however, are long, long, gone.

Knowledge of one’s history is integral to the character of a person, of a people and of a nation. History is OUR story. It is the record of our victories and our failures. It tells us where we have been and tells us how we got here. It forms the basic foundation for any plans we formulate for where we intend to go in our collective future. History is vital.

For history to yield a true course into the future it is absolutely necessary that the records be absolutely complete. That means history should always tell the whole story -- the good, the bad, and the ugly -- ALL of it. The records should always include those events of which we are justly proud and justly ashamed. For without the entire record, studying our history would be akin to reading a newspaper from which articles of critical importance have been cut out and discarded.

A scholar attempting to study our history would never get the entire story, the entire record, and any decisions made, or actions taken, based on his study of recorded history would, of necessity, be flawed. But the scholar would never know those decisions and actions were indeed, flawed, because his own studies were, to put it mildly, incomplete.

Insufficient knowledge often referred to (commonly) as ignorance, has been the root cause of the downfall of many nations. And it now appears it has become the root cause of the downfall of The United States of America.

Today, America faces one of its worst crises ever. A Constitutional Crisis looms on America’s horizon as the current government seeks to expand its powers into areas where it has no constitutional authority. The Democrat’s healthcare plan, referred to as “ObamaCare,” crosses the constitutional lines and into legislative territory held sacrosanct, by the constitution, for the states and/or the people… not the federal government.

Nullification laws used by the southern states prior to the American Civil War to try to warn Congress they were “out of bounds” are being dusted off and returned to use by several states while a host of states are actively considering them. There is also a movement afoot to have all the states join together and nullify ObamaCare the moment it is signed into law by the President.

How did we come to this? National Ignorance. I contend that had it not been for ignorance of the constitution, ignorance of America’s collective history, ignorance of the history of western civilization, the current government of the US would not be in power today. There is simply no way, short of rebellion, for a leadership so bent on transforming America from a constitutional republic into a socialist/communist nation, to have ever come to power.

Americans are a “breed apart.” Unlike our European cousins we tend to abhor government intrusion and intervention in our lives. We fought a war against a world superpower when we were only 13 colonies stuck on the eastern seaboard of a vast mostly unknown, and certainly unconquered, continent, to break free from the shackles of a government which resembles, far too closely, the government we have today in our nation’s capital. It is a vital part of our story -- of our history.

But ignorance has taken a toll, a horrible toll, on America. A generation, or more, of Americans do not know who they are. They don’t know that Americans fought a war to free themselves from a tyrannical government like the one the Obama Regime and the democrats have crafted in Washington, DC, today. Too, they are ignorant of their rights, which were granted by God and the US Constitution. It is THIS ignorance that has brought America to the precipice to which she desperately clings today.

America’s current national leadership is only the tip of an iceberg. It is just the tip a movement that has been toiling, for nearly a century, behind the scenes to bring about this transformation of America into some sort of collectivist state, a socialist/communist state, if you will. If they are finally successful they will install an all powerful central government which will impose it’s will on every American at a whim. Representative government will be gone. “Consent of the Governed” will have no meaning, whatsoever. It will, effectively, re-impose slavery in America – and this time – we will ALL be slaves.

Even today the powerful Obama Regime has extended its tentacles into many, many, aspects of our lives. What is truly frightening, however, is this: If ObamaCare is passed into law; forging of the bonds that will enslave every American and tether us to the government, as slaves, forever will be complete.

There is no question but that The Obama Regime has plans for your savings. Obama’s Treasury Department and even the Labor Department are already investigating "the conversion of 401(k) savings and Individual Retirement Accounts into annuities or other steady payment streams."

Ok, let me see if I can break it down for you. What Obama is planning to do is: Take you savings, the money you have squirreled away for your retirement in 401-K’s and IRA’s, and hand you an IOU with which they will promise to pay you a small annuity each month of your retirement.

I am not making this up! Businessweek magazine is reporting on it.

Don’t think they can do it? Does the government raiding the social security trust fund ring any bells? They took every dime of that money and left an IOU in its place.

Oh, they’re going a take your money. Make no mistake about that -- and they intend to spend it, almost immediately, to try to offset the trillion dollar plus deficits, which will, of course, leave the government coffers empty again. So, then, YOU and I will be broke right along with our pathetic, hapless, government.

Now, they are not going to tell you that. In fact, they will probably tell you they will be investing your money in Treasury bonds, or some such.

There is some thought that the process will begin by the Treasury Department making it optional for you to purchase Treasury bonds with your retirement money. (Aren’t we free to buy Treasury bonds any time we want today?)

As I said above, I am not making this up! The House Education and Labor Committee met last fall and they focused on "redirecting (IRA and 401k) tax breaks to a new system of guaranteed retirement accounts to which all workers would be obliged to contribute."

It surely appears the Obama Regime is going to war against seniors in America. Why do I say THAT? Well, seniors have accumulated the most wealth in America, when you average it out, simply because they have been around the longest. When the left speaks of their attacks on the rich, they really mean attacks on the seniors of America.

What we are seeing, dear reader, is socialism in action. We have been telling you for months now that the current US Government IS a socialist government. Maybe you’ll believe it when your 401k and/or your IRA account is wiped out by the socialist Obama Regime.

Look, the democrat/socialist/Marxist/Progressive government of the US is looking for money anywhere they can find it. They know there are, very likely, multi-billions of dollars in 401k and IRA accounts owned by the citizens of the US. Do not kid yourself for one moment. They are going to seize that money.

"Oh, but they can’t do that," you say. "That’s MY money. It is private property!" Well, normally, you would be right. That is to say, IF we had a government that recognized the US Constitution as anything but an outdated bunch of suggestions, you’d be right. Unfortunately, that is not the reality we live in today in America.

The democrats’ inspiration for this theft (call it anything you like, but it IS THEFT!) comes from the South American nation of Argentina. You see, back in 2008 Argentina nationalized the private retirement funds of their citizens on the grounds that "the private system never achieved what was needed."

Rep. Jim McDermott, a Democrat from Washington and chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee's Subcommittee on Income Security and Family Support, is reported to have said the following: " … the savings rate isn't going up for the investment of $80 billion [in 401(k) tax breaks], we have to start to think about whether or not we want to continue to invest that $80 billion for a policy that's not generating what we now say it should."

Again, simply put – the US government is going to take our retirement money and make us a worthless promise to pay us some sort of monthly payment during our retirement years.

"House Democrats recently invited Teresa Ghilarducci, a professor at the New School of Social Research, to testify before a subcommittee on her idea to eliminate the preferential tax treatment of the popular retirement plans. In place of 401(k) plans, she would have workers transfer their dough into government-created "guaranteed retirement accounts" for every worker. The government would deposit $600 (inflation indexed) every year into the GRAs. Each worker would also have to save 5 percent of pay into the accounts, to which the government would pay a measly 3 percent return." You may read the entire article HERE.

There are some among us, even conservatives, who believe that confiscating the retirement money of America’s seniors is beyond the pale -- even for the Obama Regime. I am not among them. I’d have to ask, if they were not considering it -- then why do what they have already done? See what I mean? The Obama Regime is certainly exploring the possibility of doing just what we are warning you about today.

How serious is this possibility. Well, it is serious enough that we are hearing unconfirmed reports that some Americans have already stopped acquiring money in their 401k's and IRA's and are buying, instead, precious metals such as gold and silver. You see, precious metals are tangibles. You can touch them, and see them, and feel them -- and -- better yet, they are untraceable by the Obama Regime.

Kim Priestap writes, at wizbangblog.com, the following: “Ever since Barack Obama was elected, we've seen larger and larger chunks of American life being gobbled up by government. Today's Democrats are nothing more than thug socialists who can't stand that there are still large swaths of the American people still living independently from government largesse and control. Now they are using what remaining power they have in Congress to change that. If the government takes over health care, college student loans, and retirement savings then no one, no matter how wealthy, can escape the thumb of big government.”(You may read the entire article HERE.)

In a little over a year, the Obama Regime has taken America from a glorious constitutional “representative” republic, to a “Banana Republic.” This is socialism, dear reader.

We have warned, until we are blue in the face, socialism rots a nation’s soul. In the past few months, under the Obama Regime, America has become a hollowed-out husk of its former self.

As the Mid Term Election approaches Americans need to “suck it up” and go to the polls determined to save America from the socialist/Marxist/Progressive/democrats now transforming our precious country into a socialist dung heap.

I have the uneasiest feeling that the American citizenry is being led down the “Primrose Path” -- a path, I’m afraid, that leads to destruction. I am beginning to think it may very well be time for all of us to ask ourselves if we are prepared to survive in a post apocalyptic America?

I have mentioned before that I foresee a complete collapse of the American economic system. Something, I feel, that will be much, much, worse than the Dot-Com Crash back in 2000, or even the Sub Prime Credit Crash in 2008. No, what I feel is coming will be worse than both these two former crashes added together. In fact, it has, I believe, already begun.

We Americans, indeed, all the citizens of the world, may well be facing a period of lawlessness the likes of which, the world has never experienced before. We are talking worldwide anarchy.

Look at what is happening in Washington, DC, today. There is a breakdown of our form of democracy – a constitutional republic. Our leaders in Congress have chosen to turn a blind eye and a deaf ear to the constituents they are sworn to represent. Our US government has never in its history been as separated from the people as this congress is. Not only that, but the Congress has become expendable. It is no longer necessary.

Laws are being made and enforced from the Oval Office of the White House completely by-passing Congress. The President’s use of Executive Orders and Czars, answerable only to him, is, effectively, a dictatorship. The US Constitution is viewed by those in power in America today as “an outdated list of suggestions” that needs to be trashed.

That American Dream, we Americans grew up hearing about, is no longer a dream but a nightmare. America’s capitalism is being tossed aside in favor of nation killing socialism. Our children and grandchildren are now carrying a debt load, imposed on them by the government, which they will never be able to pay off. We are headed toward, some say, to a global debt bomb which, when it explodes, will bring worldwide anarchy. Our civilized infrastructure will simply collapse. Here in America the dreaded Great Depression of the last century will be replayed in this century. Some are referring to it as “The Great Depression II.”

Once again, American will be forced to look to themselves for answers on survival. As did our famous Pilgrims and Frontiersmen ancestors we will be called upon to provide for our families as best we can. Preparation is called for. Those preparations should be made NOW!
Each of us should be stockpiling food and necessities for many months of anarchy. If you do not have a firearm, get one, learn how to use it, and be sure to stockpile plenty of ammunition. We are talking self-defense here. If you have food and others do not, you may be called upon to defend your family and your family’s foodstuff.

Hide your guns! The current US Presidential administration has made known its desire to join with the United Nations in an effort to strip you of your constitutional right to own and bear arms. (The 2nd Amendment to the US Constitution.) Remember, we warned that many in our current government view the constitution as outdated suggestions? They WILL come after our guns, so hide them. You may need them later.

When the collapse comes you will be forced to act in your own self-interest and that of your family FIRST – IF you intend to survive.

Americans have been asleep for the past few generations. We have allowed our government to be overtaken by socialist, and Marxists, and Progressives and today we are reaping what we have sown. We find ourselves on the brink of total collapse. And all this while -- we thought it couldn’t happen here. But it can – it has!

Will there be a Second American Revolution as some are predicting? Frankly, I do not know. I sincerely hope it does not come to that. Many American voices are calling out that if we wish to reestablish a new capitalist society after the collapse, we must consider every avenue. One can only prepare for the worst and hope for the best. Rest assured, there will be no renewal as long as our government remains in the hands of the socialists and Marxists. We can begin the process of removing them from office in the Mid Term Election in November of 2010.

As Thomas Paine said in “The American Crisis” these are, indeed, “the times which try men’s souls.” These times will also try our determination to survive and our determination to ensure the survival of our country. But FIRST – WE MUST SURVIVE.

The difference between conservatives and progressives, er liberals, er, socialists… (Whatever!)… is now more obvious than ever before -- especially now that Americans have seen the Progressives in action.

Are you as sick of the Democrats claiming the Republicans are looking out for their rich friends… at the cost of the poor folk in this country? Every time one turns around it is on the TV, in the Newspapers, and on the radio. Of course, the Democrat party controls the mainstream media outlets. (That’s why FOX News Channel is such a threat to them, and, why it is burning the ratings up. People have become sick and tired of hearing the old leftist spin on the news and are rushing to Fox News, in droves, to hear the “real” news and, as they say, get it “fair and balanced.”

Here’s the thing. It really is propaganda… plain and simple. It is political pabulum fed to the media, by the DNC, and the MSM laps it up and regurgitates it onto their respective networks or print media. They have been the willing accomplices of the Democrat Party since, well, since the beginning. Nothing has changed.

One of my own regional newspapers, owned by the New York Times, is no different. Readers get the same old rotgut, left wing, propaganda. However, they have been doing this so long they have begun to believe their own propaganda. They actually believe they are unbiased! Talk about denial! Just a brief scan of their editorial page and a fair-minded person will understand immediately their approach to reporting. It carries over onto the pages of the news. The sources are well known left leaning news associations.

So, with the Democrats controlling the Mainstream Media, why is there a hue and cry when a conservative voice pops up on TV, the radio, or the print media-- because, we conservatives are a very real threat to the left. Our ideas actually work. They are not difficult for folks to understand. We don’t have all the “nuance” intertwined in our remarks. We speak plainly and to the point. Oftimes, we are not politically correct, but then most folks aren’t.

Conservatives are a mixed lot, the same as Liberals/Progressives/Socialists. But for the most part, we are a people who base our political belief in the rock solid fundamentals that built this country. We believe the founders were honorable men. Flawed, but honorable. We believe they meant what they said when they wrote the constitution -- and they said what they meant. We see no reason to change it one-way or the other. Unlike Progressives, conservatives do not believe the Constitution is “a living document” subject to radical interpretation by whim. What you see is what you get.

Most conservatives are morally grounded in the scriptures and we believe that is the root of all things good. But, even more important than all these, we believe there are absolutes, moral and otherwise. There are boundaries. We, for the most part, do not believe in moral relativity. It is either right, or it is wrong.

You can see why we lock horns with the liberals/progressives/socialists, especially the new socialists that now form the bulk of what used to be the Democratic Party. Sadly, that is exactly what has happened to the old Democratic Party. It has become a socialist/secular/humanist (and, we suspect, a sprinkling of communists.) party. The truly sad thing is… they have yet to realize the American people will have none of it. They have isolated themselves from the electorate and they are now, seemingly, bent on self-destruction.

In by-gone days, the Democrat party was a party in which Zell Miller could feel at home. It was a political party the Southern folk could align with, especially since the Lincoln administration was a Republican administration. Things have changed. The pendulum has swung and now the Republican Party is the party the Democrat Party used to be. Thus, the switching of parties by Southerners and the reason the South now leans most favorably toward the Republican.

Presidential elections cannot be won without the South (i.e. the states of the old Confederacy). It will be a cold day, in warmer climes, when the South switches back to the Democrat Party.

Many conservatives don’t feel the Republican Party is conservative enough. They feel the Republican Party has forsaken its conservative agenda and it’s conservative members. I fall in that group. As a result the Tea Party Movement was born. The Tea Party Movement may yet become a full-grown third political party in America, a conservative political party. However, caution must be exercised that Tea Party candidates for office do not harm the campaigns of GOP candidates who have clear shots at removing an incumbent democrat, or a liberal, or RINO Republican from office.

Just some thoughts today on why politics are as they are in the USA. Subject to change, of course!

Pledging Your Moral Stand for Immigrants Rights

Note: This is part of a continuing series of articles concerning the epidemic leftist takeover of many venerable old Christian denominations – especially those denominations under the sway of the National Council of Churches. Links to previous articles are provided at the end of this article.

In the coming weeks and months your church may ask you to sign a pledge that you will take “a public, moral stand for immigrant’s rights.” If you oppose illegal immigration, are you ready for this faith challenge? Isn’t it possible to stand for human rights for immigrants while at the same time insisting that illegal immigration must end? Not so if your church has gone over to the left!

According to the American Religious Identification Survey (ARIS) 2001, 77% of America’s population can be classified as Christian. Although church attendance has slowly but steadily declined each decade, a vast number of Americans still attend church every Sunday.

For well over a decade America has been in the post denominational age. Religious denominational affiliation is not as important to American Christians as it once was. What has become evident, however, is that Christian denominations have become highly politicized and have been forming networks with other religions that share similar political philosophies.

A rose by any other name may smell just as sweet but a sweet sounding old denominational name isn’t necessarily a rose!

Most church attendees have no idea of what’s actually going on behind the scenes in their particular denominations. There’s a certain comfort in knowing that you are worshiping in the same faith tradition as your parents and grandparents. Unfortunately, the only intact part of that traditional faith may be the denominational name. Few Christian parishioners have any idea where the money they donate actually ends up. Here’s a clue:

The money sent to ministries sponsored by the NCC go to support a variety of Social Justice values – many of which are clearly Marxist/socialistic values: communal salvation (as opposed to individual salvation), open borders, sanctuary for illegal aliens, an immediate end to the war in Iraq, and eradicating America’s Whiteness (White Privilege) once and for all. Warfare conducted by a nation (bad) is not viewed in the same light as a revolution (good). Social Justice, born of Marxist Liberation Theology, promotes the view that Jesus was a revolutionary leader and any revolution by an oppressed people against the established order is considered a Christian duty. Need I go on?

Yes perhaps I do need to go on. You may seriously doubt everything I’ve written so far. So let me issue this challenge. Go to the far left Disciples of Christ and other left-leaning denominational web pages listed at the end of this article and see it for yourself. Then search your own denominational web pages to find similar sentiments, cunningly placed weasel words, similar ministries, and shared networks and links.

If you are a member of any denominational church in America there’s a good chance that in the coming weeks and months you may be asked to sign a pledge that you will take “a public, moral stand for immigrant’s rights.” Many of the United Methodist, United Church of Christ, Unitarian Universalist and the Disciples of Christ churches actively support The New Sanctuary Movement. Other mainline denominations and some Evangelical churches support other pro immigrant movements. Often you can find links to the New Sanctuary Movement and similar pro immigration links on your denominations’ World, Global, or immigrant ministries web pages.

Here’s part of The New Sanctuary Pledge:

. . .We stand together in our faith that everyone, regardless of national origin, has basic common rights,including but not limited to: 1) livelihood; 2) family unity; and 3) physical and emotional safety. Wewitness the violation of these rights under current immigration policy, particularly in the separation ofchildren from their parents due to unjust deportations, and in the exploitation of immigrant workers. Weare deeply grieved by the violence done to families through immigration raids. We cannot in goodconscience ignore such suffering and injustice.

Isn’t it interesting that the left always stresses immigrant rights but never immigrant responsibilities, and conversely, the left always stresses American citizen’s responsibilities to immigrants but never mentions American citizen’s rights?

Among other open border sentiments the pledge states that you will “Protect immigrants against hate, workplace discrimination, and unjust deportation.”

The Sanctuary folks are big on pounding home Biblical quotations about how Christians must appropriately deal with the stranger. According to their socialistic view there is no other option for a Christian. The notion that any Christian who opposes illegal immigration could actually act with Christian charity toward an illegal immigrant is totally foreign to the left. It is impossible for the left to understand this because the Marxist left does not recognize individual actions apart from community action. This is why Marxist theology dismisses the possibility of individual salvation apart from community salvation. As a matter of fact, when a Marxist Christian talks about salvation it doesn’t have anything to do with the great beyond. Salvation has to do with the earthly here and now. Here’s the Liberation Theology formula: Faith= Community Action=Works=Revolution=Salvation=NOW.

Christians who oppose illegal immigration are painted as racists, nativists, xenophobes, or worse, Nationalists! Here’s one of their favorite quotes:

“You shall neither mistreat a stranger nor oppress him, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.” [Exodus 22: 21]

Naturally the leftists have chosen to ignore those Biblical passages dealing with the requirements of following the law of the land, immigrant assimilation, and immigrant responsibility. When any opposing Biblical quote is tossed back at a Sanctuary type, the usual response is that “Hilter used that quote!”

The Contender pointed out:

Assimilation was rewarded by God in the Scriptures as He gave the laws for governing Israel.
This can be seen in this passage:

Exodus 12:48,49"But if a stranger sojourns with you, and celebrates the Passover to the LORD, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near to celebrate it; and he shall be like a native of the land. But no uncircumcised person may eat of it.”

. . .In chapter 13 of the apostle Paul's Letter to the Romans, the English translation reads, "Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore he who resists the authorities resists what God has appointed..." (Romans 13:1-2). Clearly, this is advice to Christians to follow the laws of their nation and to respect the laws of other nations. . .

Although Christianity encourages acts of charity, we cannot be both charitable and law breakers. We cannot rob Peter to pay Paul. The Archbishop of Mexico City should be encouraged to prevent Mexicans from coming illegally to the U. S. He should encourage Mexicans to work for Christian social change in Mexico instead of criticizing U. S. immigration policies. Unless the Mexican state changes, many Mexican citizens will never be able to have a fulfilled life. Nor can they find fulfillment by breaking U. S. immigration laws. To push the poor from your door to your neighbor's door is not an example of Christian charity.

On October 8th you will be asked to join with many other left leaning Christian denominations in a day of prayer and fasting because “This morally abhorrent, and disastrous war . . .must end!" If you support our war efforts in Iraq, are you ready for this faith challenge?

This is from the NCC news release of September 12, 2007:

"This war must end!" say the religious leaders in their statement about the interfaith fast. "We must end the shattering of Iraqi and American lives by offering American generosity and support - but not control - for international and nongovernmental efforts to assist Iraqis in making peace and rebuilding their country, while swiftly and safely bringing home all American troops." . . .

The leaders of these many faith communities are inviting millions of Americans to organize joint interfaith events in local communities on October 8 to fast and break the fast together. Groups may register their events at http://www.globalministries.org/administrator/www.interfaithfast.org where groups may also find an organizing toolkit to assist in putting together such gatherings. A church bulletin insert on fasting for Christians may also be found at the website. . .

"American culture, society, and policy are addicted to violence at home and overseas," says the organizing statement. "In our time, the hope of a decent future is endangered by an unnecessary, morally abhorrent, and disastrous war. Ending this war can become the first step toward a policy that embodies a deeper, broader sense of generosity and community at home and in the world." (Emphasis added by me)

Among those religious leaders organizing or endorsing this event are: Rabbi Arthur Waskow, Shalom Center, Philadelphia; Dr. Sayyid M. Sayeed, Islamic Society of North America, Plainfield, Ill.; Rev. Dr. Shanta Premawardhana, NCC Associate General Secretary for Interfaith Relations and Rev. Michael Livingston, NCC President; Jean Stoken, Pax Christi Roman Catholic peace ministry; Dr. Tarunjit Singh Butalia, Moderator of Religions for Peace USA; Jim Winkler, United Methodist Board for Church and Society; Rick Ufford-Chase, Presbyterian Peace Fellowship and Christian Peace Witness, and Bishop Christopher Epting, The Episcopal Church.

Some of those organizers will participate at a news conference in Washington, D.C., Wednesday morning, Sept. 26, to stand in prophetic witness for a policy that invites peace and nonviolence instead of death and destruction.

Are you willing to close tight your purse strings and refuse to support any NCC sponsored ministry?

Are you willing to share widely what you’ve learned about the growth of leftist heresy confronting all Christian denominations?

Is Your Church a Secret Sanctuary?

Disclaimer: This article does not discount the faith of those true pacifists who have plumbed the depths of their Christian conscience and ardently believe that there is no such thing as a just war, or that no person should ever be turned away regardless of individual circumstances.

The growth of leftist Christianity within Catholicism, Mainline Protestantism, and even among Evangelical Christians, is a frightening phenomena that has received scant attention. Last week’s news of the arrest and deportation of the Sanctuary movement’s spokesperson, Elvira Arellano, highlights not only the strength of the left within urban churches, but Marxist Christianity (or Liberation Theology) is a fast-growing evolution of heretical Christianity effecting every little congregation is the U.S.

Elvira Arellano became the face behind the nation's immigration debate when she sought refuge from immigration authorities in a Chicago church a year ago.
U.S. immigration officials had ordered her deportation for working at O'Hare International Airport using a false Social Security number.
But Arellano holed up for a year in the Chicago sanctuary so she wouldn't be separated from her 8-year-old U.S. citizen son.

Many traditional American’s have failed to realize the actual links between today’s political movements and our churches. Many of these links come through denominational sponsored charitable networks and coalitions such as the National Council of Churches.

The National Council of Churches Supports the U.N. . . .It's not as simple as the NCC agreeing with your philosophy...it's the matter of a percentage of the funds you give to your church being sent to the headquarters of your denomination and from there, likely, a donation made to the NCC. These figures are difficult to confirm, but the National Council of Churches must be funded in some manner. On the positive side, family.org reports that donations from mainstream churches have significantly declined, but have been replaced with funds from political-action groups - and numerous qualify as "far-left" activism.

Some political movements have made genuine progress for humanity in this country. One example comes from the Black church in America. There is no doubt that the civil rights movement would have gone nowhere if it were not for the political activism within the Black churches in America. The strength of the Black churches in America is evidenced by the fact that until recently almost every Black politician who managed to gain national recognition had a Rev. next to his/her name.

It would be a grave mistake to discount the growing political activism and influence the leftist church is exerting on the questions of warfare and of immigration. The New Sanctuary movement is already becoming entrenched within many Christian denominations. This is an excerpt from their web page:

The New Sanctuary Movement is a coalition of interfaith religious leaders and participating congregations, called by our faith to respond actively and publicly to the suffering of our immigrant brothers and sisters residing in the United States. . . .

Called by faith to respond . . .

Unfortunately, there are many wolves in sheep’s clothing who masquerade as Christians within denominational leadership, and these Marxists have found the key to manipulating the church faithful into funding those groups that foster attacks on the sovereignty of these United States.

The left is gaining converts daily by an appeal to a false Christian guilt that would equate law-breakers who leave their country to improve their economic condition with slavery or with political refugees who are facing torture, death, or genocide within their home nations. Here’s an example of the sweetly twisted rhetoric:

"The Gospel message calls us to welcome the stranger and to stand in solidarity with the least of these," said Chett Pritchett, Wesley Theological Seminary student. "It's not a political issue, it is a Christian issue." . . .

Make no mistake. This IS a political issue!!!

Nowhere do any of these open border Marxist activists mention our Christian duty to protect, to defend, or to preserve our nation against an invasion of people that come here illegally flaunting our laws with no intention of assimilation and who would destroy the very fabric of our nation. No where do these open border activists mention that it is every Christian’s duty to protect the future of their country for their children. Nowhere do these leftists mention the long-standing traditional Christian understanding of just warfare as they sabotage the war in Iraq.

How do the leftist Christians manage to out trump years of Christian tradition? The first step (begun many years ago) is to promote the “social gospel” which emphasizes social justice and at the same time denigrates individualism. Christians are urged to think with a group mind in terms of “community” rather than individual moral choice or even individual salvation. Jesus is portrayed as a revolutionary freedom-fighter. Aggression against the enemy is only fostered if it is the undefined “oppressed people” seeking justice against any form of established government anywhere. It is a revolutionary gospel that hides its true objectives from the church faithful and couches its opposition to Christian tradition in the gentlest religious imagery. Popular in Latin America, Liberation Theology foments world-wide revolutions with the final objective – world-wide Marxist Christianity.

Independent congregations are not as at risk of succumbing to the New Sanctuary Movement as are the denominations. If you are a member of an old venerable Christian denomination the odds are about 99.9% that the movement for sanctuary is well under the control of the growing number of leftist leaders within your denomination’s headquarters and, of course, within the hallowed halls of university seminaries.

With the paradox that "war is a virtue" or a "positive good," the authors force us to look again at actions designed to face evils that few are willing to meet because they cannot understand how doing anything effective can be just. This book is another way of looking at the problem, an ancient way, as it turns out.

It should be noted that defending our country against those who would destroy it (from within or without) falls within the theology of Just Warfare!

Although I love this very accurate quote from the Vanishing American, I completely disagree with the conclusion .

Certainly the liberalized caricature of Christianity, which is only a shadow of the real Christianity in actual fact, is a religion which would command the West to sacrifice itself for the sake of the 'wretched of the earth.' This version of Christianity preaches guilt for our success and material prosperity, and guilt-trips us into giving away what we have to the victims, and sharing all our possessions with them, including our country. Unfortunately this version of Christianity is growing in numbers of adherents; many formerly conservative denominations and churches are being pulled into the vortex of leftist Christianity by liberal clerics and preachers masquerading as traditional Christians, and many formerly conservative Christians are being led by these pied pipers where they would not formerly have gone, into the globalist, universalist system.
