Sexual Harassment: Many Flavors few takers

Observers of current culture have watched as many men have been pulled into the vortex of sexual harassment. Tiger Woods lost huge as his libido got the best of him. Woods was forced to attend counseling sessions because he liked women. This must be a big business because others of equal note are being entrapped by their own so-called promiscuous behavior. If you are Bill Clinton you get an award while others are tarred and feathered. Now Bill O’Reilly is under the microscope for his latent urges. Thirteen million dollars, as reported by the press, has been paid out to various women who stepped forward with complaints, perhaps more to come. My question is: what flavor of sexual harassment did he display? Did Bill eyeball the woman’s better parts? Did Bill ask the woman to dinner? Perhaps Bill gave her a peck on her face or maybe he attacked a woman outright. I doubt the latter and for the former probably a minor bit occurred. What did Bill have to say about these questionable occurrences in his talking points? It appears his points were not talking on this topic. Word is out he may be on an extended vacation and or permanent one. Sadly I will miss this arrogant man who bloviated each weekday on his news/commentary program which set the tone for Fox’s nightly line up. Perhaps Bill should have picked a flavor few liked therefore he could have finished his career with a clean slate. Good luck Bill. Whatever decision you make Fox will be better off either way.    Sometimes I cringe when listening to Juan Williams speak on Fox News through their various media outlets. Mr. William’s brand of news must inject a bit of darkness no matter where the discussion leads. His strong background working for various news organizations such as the Washington Post and National Public Radio belies the fact he never seems to be prepared for round table discussions or one on one interviews. Race relations, in all its formats, is always on the plate when Juan is in the room. Fox News’ goal to bring balance to their presentations does not excuse them for the many nonsensical statements brought to the air by Mr. Williams. Fact and opinion appear to merge when Juan’s turn to speak arrives. He legitimatizes Democrat actions in the Congress by drawing on fallacious and or misinterpretations of historical events.  Juan sees life through the filter of racism. There is no doubt about his Party affiliation. Juan is 100% Democrat. Hillary’s criminality, no problem for Juan. President Trump’s attempt to keep America safe is impugned by a man whose mind goes in only one direction. I once saw Juan smile. His grimace paralleled that of Lurch from the Adam’s Family. Perhaps Juan Williams has out grown Fox or vice versa. Nevertheless in the very small event I watch Fox programming if Juan is present I move on. Mr. Williams stop stating opinion as though it was fact. Brush up on your elocution skills and above all please stop adding a tinge of racism to every discussion. Harsh reality confronted a nation not ready to hear that a 10 year old, dying from Cystic Fibrosis, is having difficulty obtaining a lung transplantation. Sarah Murnaghan is in the end stages of of this horrific disease with compromised lungs and other organs affected. Sarah’s physicians note without an immediate pulmonary transplantation, she has only weeks to live. Cystic Fibrosis is a very complicated disease, of genetic origin, which could affect the entire body. Thick secretions obstruct airway channels resulting in poor respiratory function, which is the problem in this case. Sarah’s parents desperately want their daughter placed on the adult transplantation list. Unfortunately, the cut-off age is 12. More lungs are available to adults than children, therefore Sarah’s parents went public with their quest. Fox News, in its inimical style, damned the government for its insensitivity to this child and its position concerning Sarah’s parents attempts to have her placed on the adult list. More to the point, Fox blamed the Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, as did others, for not signing an order to have Sarah placed on the adult list. Sean Hannity went so far as stating this is reminiscent of death panels. Sebelius was willing to study the issue, yet she noted some will live and some will die. She was referring to the scarcity of transplantable organs available and the overabundance of potential recipients waiting for them. As insensitive as her message came across, she was correct. Three children in Sarah’s region of Pennsylvania are waiting transplantation as well as several dozen adults. Blaming Sebelius is absurd and adds to the political circus around this case. Does the name Terri Schiavo come to mind and the government’s overreach in that case. Fox conveniently forgot to mention that Sarah’s disease involves many other systems in her body. Any of which could potentially terminate her life. Media and political hack’s amnesia to other people awaiting transplants was also very obvious. The government is neither the cause of the patient’s condition nor controls its outcome. Bad genes and a lack of transplantable organs are the culprits.  Many of us have children and feel the pain these parents are suffering. This is not the case to take a stand against Obamacare. Organ allocation is difficult and emotionally trying. Decisions made daily determine who lives and who dies. Unfortunately, it can be any one of us at the end to the stick. Sarah was given temporary reprieve this week by a court, which allowed her to be listed as an adult. As a physician and a father, I hope Sarah receives her lung transplant and lives a long life, epidemiological statistics of Cystic Fibrosis unfortunately state otherwise. I read this at the above site and am passing this along to give it a wide birth.  Judge Andrew P. Napolitano has been a voice of common sense on FOX News.  I do hope that you will read this and pass it to others.

Since this particular piece didn’t get that much coverage, I hope the good Judge and FOX News will have no objections to this being used, in full, with full accreditation back to FOX News and Judge Andrew P. Napolitano. This is a piece that needs to be seen by ALL Americans.

Where is the outrage?

For the past few weeks, I have been writing in this column about the government’s use of drones and challenging their constitutionality on Fox News Channel where I work. I once asked on air what Thomas Jefferson would have done if — had drones existed at the time — King George III had sent drones to peer inside the bedroom windows of Monticello. I suspect that Jefferson and his household would have trained their muskets on the drones and taken them down. I offer this historical anachronism as a hypothetical only, not as one who is urging the use of violence against the government.

Nevertheless, what Jeffersonians are among us today? When drones take pictures of us on our private property and in our homes, and the government uses the photos as it wishes, what will we do about it? Jefferson understood that when the government assaults our privacy and dignity, it is the moral equivalent of violence against us. The folks who hear about this, who either laugh or groan, cannot find it humorous or boring that their every move will be monitored and photographed by the government.

Don’t believe me that this is coming? The photos that the drones will take may be retained and used or even distributed to others in the government so long as the “recipient is reasonably perceived to have a specific, lawful governmental function” in requiring them. And for the first time since the Civil War, the federal government will deploy military personnel inside the United States and publicly acknowledge that it is deploying them “to collect information about U.S. persons.”

It gets worse. If the military personnel see something of interest from a drone, they may apply to a military judge or “military commander” for permission to conduct a physical search of the private property that intrigues them. And, any “incidentally acquired information” can be retained or turned over to local law enforcement. What’s next? Prosecutions before military tribunals in the U.S.?

The quoted phrases above are extracted from a now-public 30-page memorandum issued by President Obama’s Secretary of the Air Force on April 23, 2012. The purpose of the memorandum is stated as “balancing … obtaining intelligence information … and protecting individual rights guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution…” Note the primacy of intelligence gathering over freedom protection, and note the peculiar use of the word “balancing.”

When liberty and safety clash, do we really expect the government to balance those values? Of course not. The government cannot be trusted to restrain itself in the face of individual choices to pursue happiness. That’s why we have a Constitution and a life-tenured judiciary: to protect the minority from the liberty-stealing impulses of the majority. And that’s why the Air Force memo has its priorities reversed — intelligence gathering first, protecting freedom second — and the mechanism of reconciling the two — balancing them — constitutionally incorrect.

Everyone who works for the government swears to uphold the Constitution. It was written to define and restrain the government. According to the Declaration of Independence, the government’s powers come from the consent of the governed. The government in America was not created by a powerful king reluctantly granting liberty to his subjects. It was created by free people willingly granting limited power to their government — and retaining that which they did not delegate.

The Declaration also defines our liberties as coming from our Creator, as integral to our humanity and as inseparable from us, unless we give them up by violating someone else’s liberties. Hence the Jeffersonian and constitutional beef with the word “balancing” when it comes to government power versus individual liberty.

The Judeo-Christian and constitutionally mandated relationship between government power and individual liberty is not balance. It is bias — a bias in favor of liberty. All presumptions should favor the natural rights of individuals, not the delegated and seized powers of the government. Individual liberty, not government power, is the default position because persons are immortal and created in God’s image, and governments are temporary and based on force.

Hence my outrage at the coming use of drones — some as small as golf balls — to watch us, to listen to us and to record us. Did you consent to the government having that power? Did you consent to the American military spying on Americans in America? I don’t know a single person who has, but I know only a few who are complaining.

If we remain silent when our popularly elected government violates the laws it has sworn to uphold and steals the freedoms we elected it to protect, we will have only ourselves to blame when Big Brother is everywhere. Somehow, I doubt my father’s generation fought the Nazis in World War II only to permit a totalitarian government to flourish here. Is President Obama prepared to defend this? Is Gov. Romney prepared to challenge it? Are you prepared for its consequences?

Barack Hussein Obama can offer NO viable defense for this invasion of privacy. Mitt Romney, if he has ANY courage in him, will not only challenge it, he will vow to strike it down once he is elected POTUS.

Are *WE* prepared for the consequences?

I think a more fair question would be; is the regime of Barack Hussein Obama prepared to suffer the consequences that indeed they must if this travesty is allowed to come to fruition?

It has been reminded to us time and time again that our freedoms will be taken from us not all at once, but slowly.  All so slowly that we will not even notice their loss.  By the time we notice the loss of our freedoms it will be too late.

Take heed America!  It is time to Wake Up!

When I first heard of the problems with News Corp. in Great Britain, I instinctively knew that US Democrats would find a way to use it to get at the Fox News Channel, which is also owned by News Corp.

They didn’t waste a minute.

The US Justice Department under Attorney General Eric Holder is, in my opinion, the worst justice department this country has ever had.  The way they have operated under the Obama Administration resembles some European secret state police back from way back in the 1930’s.  

Americans are afraid the government is screening their e-mail.  Americans fear their cell phones are being “tapped” or “hacked” by the DOJ.  Americans find themselves whispering when saying anything derogatory about the Obama administration. Americans feel, for the first time, that gnawing feeling of fear and paranoia about their own government, which has the DOJ acting as some sort of “state police.”

Yes, it IS the democrats pushing for an investigation of News Corp. in America. The more open democrats make no bones about it.  They HATE Fox News and if this "investigation" of News Corp. will give them a chance, even a slim one, to force Fox News to shut down, then they are going to push it to the hilt.

The Fox News slogan or motto, whichever you choose, is “Fair and Balanced.”  They say:  "We report.  YOU decide."  Their editorial position, however, favors conservatism over liberalism, republicans over democrats, and, I have often found, fact over fiction.

Fox News is fair and balanced to a fault.  Oftimes, they are TOO balanced for my personal tastes. They get into trouble when they have a panel made up of dems and repubs.  The democrat representative continuously spouts the democratic talking points while the republican is countering with truth -- which never fails to make the democrat look bad and sound worse.  It is embarrassing to dems. 

Until Fox News came along, the Democrats had been getting away with their drive for a socialist government for America -- with the assistance of what then made up the mainstream media in America.  Fox put the quietus on that and let the sunlight in allowing the truth to have a voice in the world in which leftist propaganda had reigned.

  The dems HATE Fox News for that.

The left will never forgive Fox News and they will go after Fox whenever they are given even the smallest chance of actually damaging the voice of freedom and truth in America.

Since Fox News became available on my cable service, I have boycotted all the other news outlets.  As a former news hound, myself, I already know how they are going to report a story. So, I simply don't watch and don't listen to them. 

I have two regional daily papers serving my home county.  Both are left wing.  Oh, they swear they are not, but any 12 year old, with the IQ of a gnat, can easily see the leftist bias within five minutes of opening their pages. 

So, how do I get the news?  I go to Fox News and off shore news outlets. 

Those of us who are devoted to Fox News have been waiting for the government to bring the hammer down on Fox for years. There was never any doubt that the Obama administration would go after Fox News as soon as they had any chance at all.

I have no idea how it will all shake out.  But with the history of the democrats destroying any who oppose them, rest assured it will not end well for Fox News and their parent company News Corp. here in America.

Today Barack Hussein Obama, President of the United States, Leader of the Free World and Champion of Free Speech declared War on Fox News Channel.

Using his Kapos, he has attempted a Blitzkrieg upon the Network.

White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel told CNN that President Obama does not want "the CNNs and the others in the world [to] basically be led in following Fox."

Obama senior adviser David Axelrod went further by calling on media outlets to join the administration in declaring that Fox is "not a news organization."

"Other news organizations like yours ought not to treat them that way," Axelrod counseled ABC's George Stephanopoulos. "We're not going to treat them that way."

While the other News Networks Propaganda Mills are rallying around the President, his Healthcare proposals, and denigrating the protesters on 9/12 as a bunch of kooks and racists, Fox News has been hitting hard on Obama's czars, his foreign policy, his economic policy, his Healthcare proposal, and the general lies and deceits Barack Hussein Obama has brought to Washington.

Looking at the lead stories from the other networks it is no wonder that Obama wants Fox News to start looking like them. Instead of examining the Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, Healthcare, and the situation in Iran, viewers at CNN and other media outlets (to call them news channels would be erroneous) subject their viewers to Sexy Michael Buble jokes, bed-wetting, and Balloon Boy. Not exactly the hard-hitting stories. More like fluff for the masses.

Or the example of distinguished journalism by such reporters ink slingers like Rick Sanchez.

Mr. Sanchez once wrote:

Sanchez generated controversy on Twitter when he wrote in his account, "do u know how much money i’d make if i’d sold out as hispanic and worked at fox news, r u kidding, one problem, looking in mirror."

In response, Fox News anchor Julie Banderas wrote on Twitter, "As a wise Latina woman, I have no comment other than to say...if I were Rick Sanchez, I wouldn't look in the mirror, period."

A Fox News spokesman also responded with, "Everyone knows that Rick is an industry joke, he shows that he's a hack everyday. And he doesn't have to worry about working at FOX because we only hire talent who have the ability to generate ratings."

Rick Sanchez, Politically Correct Hack, pushes the pro-Obama agenda, flunked his course in objectivity at college, is openly anti-Semitic (he supports La Voz de Aztlan openly including their full anti-Semitic rhetoric), and is vying for the Joseph Goebbels award for Excellence in Journalism. Is it any wonder that a Conservative like Lou Dobbs (the only Conservative on the staff) is leaving CNN (Hostile work environment?).

The last President who declared war on the media was Richard Nixon. He declared war on the Washington Post and New York Times. Look what happened to him. A fair warning to any President with skeletons in his closet.

President Obama thinks the heat is on now, just wait a bit. Think of what the heat will be like if and when Fox News start to investigate his private finances (Deep Throat did tell Woodward and Burnstein to "Follow the money.").

Nixon's approval ratings were very high when the Washington Post started to investigate Watergate. Obama doesn't have that luxury any more. Even Saturday Night Live and Late Night Comics are taking potshots at him:

Well you’ve got to hand it to Barack Hussein Obama’s folks. Now there’s a so-called Republicans for Obama web site that claims at least 400+ members. It was probably created by lefty trolls masquerading as Republicans and they are beginning to gather a few mindless dupes who don’t have a clue as to what “conservative” actually means.

Here’s some typical R.F.O. Forum banter:

“Obama is a leap of faith. But what politician isn't? When I think of my children and the sort of world I want them to inherit, I am willing to set aside economic self-interest and some differences of opinion in the service of unity and the hope Obama represents. I suspect there a good many people out there who feel the same way.”

Here’s one response (it’s the only response so far):

“I will agree, Obama is a leap of faith. And as you put, any time you put your future into someone's hands, whether politician, employer, husband or wife, it's a leap of faith. Otherwise, you can stand there with your feet firmly planted on the ground, in the same old same old. "

Ok we’ve got it. These nit wits are willing to take a “Leap of faith” and are willing “to set aside economic self-interest” for the sake of “unity” and “hope”. Do you really buy that???

Translation: “We are liberal university students and our well-healed parents foot all of our bills. We’ve never held jobs because most jobs are beneath us and there are plenty of undocumented workers to fill those needs. After we graduate we’ll continue to agitate until most of your wealth is redistributed to us so that we can take our cut as we redistribute it to those victims who are less intelligent and less fortunate than us! All we have to do is hope that Obama will convince you to feel guilty enough to hold our hands as we unite to sing “Cum-ba-ya.”

R.F.O. has been asked to appear on the Fox News Channel Program, "Your World with Neil Cavuto." The time of the interview is schedule for 4:05 p.m. EST this afternoon. More details should be relayed within the next few minutes but I wanted to get the word out as quickly as possible. This may be our first opportunity to reach a national TV audience with our message of unity of purpose for Senator Obama's candidacy. Wish me luck, say a few prayers, watch the show and if you have a VCR, please tape it.

R.F.O. Forum also has a posting encouraging members to join the Obamacans group. “Raise awareness to other Facebook users! This is a great way to show your support in a Social Networking environment. Many young voters have profiles on Facebook, come join and relay the messages on this site to the Obamacans group.”

Just for the heck of it, why not subscribe to your R.F.O. state chapter and take your patriotic place as a conservative troll???

The Pitiful Left’s Media Attacks

Yesterday I had the “pleasure” of reading “The Pitiful State Of Our Media” – a loony leftist attack on “right-wing media bias” by Pacific Views.org. The article accuses the MSM of collaboration with the Bush administration! That statement would even make Pelosi laugh!

It would appear that the far left has decided to jump into media-bashing as a way of defending a completely ludicrous and defenseless accusation. Of course the lefty MSM doesn’t mind this silliness by their unhinged comrades because now the MSM can point to these mindless accusations and say, “See we get it from all sides, so that proves we aren’t biased.”

I thought you might enjoy a few excerpts (hyperlinks added by me). . .

Three stories this week show just how damaged the mainstream media is. It is
clear we are in deep trouble as a nation if we cannot get the media to do a
better job because it is this dysfunctional media that has enabled the worst
administration in American history as well as their extremist collaborators to
take us to war and to weaken the institutions that are needed to help us deal
with the enormous problems facing us. These stories were designed to slime
Democratic leaders and to justify more war by stoking the fear factor once more.

The Edwards blogger story was another example of
manufacturing a controversy that was designed to damage a top Democratic
candidate. Glenn Greenwald thinks that the overall outcome of this story shows
how the liberal blogosphere has started to fight against the right-wing noise
machine, yet he sees the Edwards story as a prime example of the influence of
the right wing network on our public discourse.

For
the last 15 years or so -- since the early years of the Clinton administration
-- our public political discourse has been centrally driven by an ever-growing
network of scandal-mongers and filth-peddling purveyors of baseless, petty
innuendo churned out by the likes of Rush
Limbaugh, Matt
Drudge, various right-wing operatives and, more recently, the
right-wing
press led by Fox News. .
.

We are in the position we are in as a country
because there has been really no effective counterweight to the lowly, deceitful
and filth-peddling right-wing network which has dominated our political
discourse and the media's coverage of it. . .

Edwards
was able to reconsider his original decision to fire Amanda and Melissa because
the blogosphere gave him backing. (And I suspect his very smart wife was
involved in working with him as he came to the right decision in the face of
this manufactured firestorm because she knows and participates in the blogging
world herself.) Nevertheless, this particular tempest in the teapot did its
dirty work on the John Edwards campaign, by asserting that he was associating
with extremists via the "liberal bloggers are bad" meme (using Malkin and Donohue, neither
would would be considered respectable arbitors of civil discourse or political
correctness in any sane world). This a story was designed to make him look weak
if he buckled down to the right wing machine. But when he decided to stick with
his bloggers, the right wing can run with a new meme that Edwards has given in
to the rabid rabbits that make up the left blogosphere. Talk about a no win
story for Edwards, just because he had asked two smart and gutsy gals to join
his campaign. What can the candidates learn from this episode to get in front of
nasty attacks from the right wing? And how do we help them?

The final story is yet one more example of the way the
mainstream media will collaborate with the adminstration as they try to frighten
and anger the public in to backing a war with Iran just like they did before
attacking Iraq. . . .

Well it’s obvious that this nitwit went way, way over the top. I couldn’t resist leaving a comment gleaned from Wake Up America’s fine article, “The Obligatory Edwards/Bloggers Post.” I posted the suddenly removed but stealithily archived examples of the “trash-talking Stalinists at Pandagon” and challenged Mary, the author, to keep the comment up. So far it’s still there and there are no other comments. It would appear that even the far, far left is blushing with embarrassment!
