Obama Corrupts Jerusalem Embassy Act

The Jerusalem Embassy Act commitment was deep-sixed on Friday night after Obama et al removed a critical sentence from the agreement. Friday night shenanigans are well-underway, but I must say, the word "shenanigan" has far too frivolous a tone for what is actually happening.

Our President has rendered a commitment to Israel "gone," as though it never existed. The history is that in 1995 Congress passed the Jerusalem Embassy Act to insure that the U.S. Embassy in Israel would be moved from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem because Israel considers Jerusalem it's nation's capitol, and Israel has the right to designate their capitol. The U.S. Embassy was mandated to take up its Jerusalem presence by May 31, 1999, but today, our Embassy remains in Tel Aviv.

As bureaucrats are wont to do, for one reason or the other, every six months since May 31, 1999 a "Presidential Determination," in the form of a memo has been sent to the U.S. Secretary of State, titled "Suspension of Limitations Under the Jerusalem Embassy Act." The memo with the hefty title is simply a legal waiver moving the deadline for our Embassy's Jerusalem presence forward another six months. This has been going now, all these long years.

But now, everything has changed, just as so much has changed since January 20, 2009. The memo went out as usual, but with one big change. A sentence has been completely excised from the memo:

My Administration remains committed to beginning the process of moving our embassy to Jerusalem.

So on a Friday evening when not many are paying attention, we find that Barack Obama has undone what Congress did in 1995 with the Senate adopting the Jerusalem Embassy Act by a vote of 95 to 5, and House doing the same with a vote of 374-37.

It appears that Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton believed that Congressional authority through their vote is, in reality, only an "advisory," because it "impermissibly interferes with the President's constitutional authority." If the U.S. Constitution places the conduct of foreign policy in the hands of the President, then any resolutions Congress makes are possibly invalid.

If the above is assumption is correct, the only power Congress has is to deny funding - in this case - for the establishment of a new Embassy in Jerusalem. To date, Congress has not denied funding for a U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem.

The website Palestine Facts says that the Clinton White House:

...refused to move the embassy citing harm to America's national security, believing that it would interfere with peace process negotiations. In fact, the Act gave the U.S. President a "waiver authority" under which he could suspend the [implementation] for a period of six months if he determines and reports to Congress in advance that such suspension is necessary to protect the national security interests of the United States.

Both Presidents Clinton and Bush used this waiver to postpone any change, fearful of the reaction of Palestinian Arabs, even though Bush promised to move the embassy if elected in 2000. The US refusal to act on the embassy move, leaving Israel as the only country in the world where the US embassy is not in the designated capital city, has encouraged Palestinian Arabs to believe they may eventually succeed in driving Israel out of Jerusalem.

Although President G. W. Bush campaigned on the Embassy move, we know that never happened. He began waffling soon after taking office. I think Bush, however, added the sentence:

My Administration remains committed to beginning the process of moving our embassy to Jerusalem.

The Jerusalem Embassy Act commitment has gone to feed the fishes. As of today, the "commitment" sentence is missing and the only option seems to be that we have Barack Obama's non-commitment to establishing a U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem - which he wants to cede to the Palestinians.

George Mitchell: Israel Under Seige from Obama White House

George Mitchell and his entourage are moving into Jerusalem. Mitchell, President Obama's Special Envoy to the Middle East is in the mood to get serious with Israel. Israel is under seige from the Obama White House, and the push is on to whip Israel into submission. Perhaps there is another way to interpret the following - maybe I'm reading it wrong, but since the media isn't talking about this, how would we know. Let me know what you think.

Big News being reported nowhere except from The Mideast Peace Pulse blog at the Israel Policy forum (read about them at bottom of article):

Next week the high commissioner, George Mitchell, is to return. But this time he is not coming alone. He will be arriving with a whole organization aimed at executing Barack Obama's policies for the Middle East.

George Mitchell is no longer going solo. He has appointed four deputies. The first, David Hale, from the State Department, will reside regularly in Jerusalem. The second, Mara Rudman, served as chief of staff of the National Security Council under Clinton and was extremely active in the New America Foundation which concerns itself a great deal with providing aid for the Palestinians. She will be stationed in Washington and coordinate the administration's activity with the representative in Jerusalem.

The third is a former military man, Fred Hoff, an expert on Syrian affairs. He has a clear world vision, which states that the US administration must reach a deal with Syria before withdrawing from Iraq.

George Mitchell himself will arrive in Damascus, for the first time, already in the next few weeks. Until now Acting Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Jeffrey Feltman visited there twice. These visits signify an upgrading in talks between the United States and Syria.

The fourth figure is the region's military advisor, US Security Coordinator Lt. Gen. Keith Dayton, who is building the Palestinian Authority's military forces. Just recently he and the defense minister agreed to continue to expand the forces operating in the West Bank.

Mitchell's organization was established in order to channel all of American policy towards Israel and the surrounding countries into one conduit. To unite this into one coordinated voice encompassing all branches of government. The embassy in Tel Aviv will provide services, and the consul in Jerusalem, whose working relations with the Palestinians were not exactly to their satisfaction, has been replaced by one of the State Department's stars, former head of the Israel and Palestinian desk: Daniel Rubinstein.

The days of a shuttle envoy, who waits to have meetings set up with Israel officials, asks questions and waits for answers that often fail to come, have passed. From now on we're talking about a permanent presence, with presidential authority, which executes the White House policy, gets updates from the field, follows implementation of policy from up close and reports directly to the president on an ongoing, daily basis. The IPF (Israel Policy Forum) says their mission is:

...to promote active U.S. Engagement to achieve a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and peace and security for Israel with the Palestinians and the Arab states.

George Mitchell represents the strong arm of the U.S. government, "a permanent presence, with presidential authority." Israel is under seige from the Obama White House and I hope Netanyahu can stand up under the pressure.

Glen Beck's Encounter with The View - The Truth Video

You've heard the first part of this story: Glen Beck, his wife and friends, get onto Amtrak and his way to the Correspondents Dinner in Washington, D.C. Finds a conference table on the train and is told those seats are reserved.

Beck thinks the seats must surely be held for Joe Biden and expects him to get on when they reach NYC. Instead, a police cadre enters the care and escorts Barbara Walters and Whoopee Goldberg to the seats.

Beck has fun with it on his TV show. BaBwa and Whoopee don't like it - they are they say "pissed." Glen was already scheduled to appear on the view when the Amtrak incident happens. He shows up for The View and it wasn't a happy occasion.

Well, we've heard a lot about this. Beck seemed to acknowledge that he was wrong - BaBwa didn't "call him over," he went over to BaBwa. But that's not the end of the story. The Divas say the seats were not reserved for them and indicated that Beck lied.

Whoever thought Obama was anything less than an enemy of this country and Hillary anything more than a witless twit, should be disabused of that notion with this one ugly sight:

It came to pass that on the 4th day of the month of June, the Anointed One journeyed to the land of the Pharaohs. In the city of Cairo, where no Pharaoh had ever walked, the Anointed One, spoke to the assembled at the Hall of Learning.

I carry to you the goodwill of MY people of America and the peace of the Mosques of America: assalaamu alaykum.

We in the West have kept the Muslim down in the gutter for too long. We have colonized your lands, stolen your property and kept you in ignorance. But I will CHANGE that.

On 9/11 you attacked us, and we were angry. But that is now over. We can work together without us mentioning 9/11, all is forgiven.

This CHANGE will not be easy. This CHANGE will not take place overnight. It will take a year or two, but I will bring CHANGE and HOPE to all the Muslim world.

I tell you that I am a Christian, but MY father, grandfather and brother were all Muslims. I spent many years as a boy in a Muslim land. I worked with Muslims in Chicago. And I learned your history. How you developed Algebra (actually invented in India) , the Magnetic Compass (invented in China), pens and printing(invented in China), all the while bringing peace, prosperity, and harmony to the world ( as long as the Christians, Jews and Hindus paid a special tax and lived as second class citizens). Your level of medicine rivaled that of the modern world of today (that is if you like dipping fly wings into your tea and drinking it to cure disease). How you brought about the Renaissance and Enlightenment (both would have come earlier if Muslim armies hadn't invaded Europe).

I know that Muslims were fundamental to the establishment of the United States. That Muslims fought in our wars, served in government, stood for civil rights, started businesses, taught at our Universities, excelled in our sports arenas, won Nobel Prizes, built our tallest building, and lit the Olympic Torch (all within the last 50 years). We were first recognized by Morocco (that is after France, Great Britain, and Spain).

You have a bad misconception of ME. MY America is Muslim friendly with a Mosque in every state and 1200 in the nation. We welcome Muslims with open arms. You are free to force your women to wear your burkas, insist on forcing Christians and Jews into a Dhimmi role, and kill your female relatives if they upset your honor. Just don't show anti-Semitic pictures. Don't yell your true feelings of hatred in the world.

We are all humans. We must all respect that.

I will state it again: America is not at war with Islam. (So please don't attack us again, right?)

I will not keep MY troops in Afghanistan or Iraq. I will have them away from those lands within a few years. (I'm gonna need them to destroy Israel.) We will keep up the illusion of fighting the extremists with the help of of the Muslim world. (I know you don't want them to lose and I need to save face.) We will defeat them together. (Or not, they are useful to keep the sheep scared.)

I will bring a solution to the Palestinian problem. It is all the fault of the Israelis. They will do what I will say. There will be peace. For I will make Israel give the Palestinians everything that they want, and the Palestinians will not have to do anything. And if there isn't peace, then I will blame the failure on the Israelis.

I will allow Iran to have Nukes, and will make everyone give up theirs instead. That way the Muslim world can have as many Nukes they wish to force their will on others.

I grant Freedom of Religion to all Muslims. The 7 million Muslims in America (There are no more than 3 million Muslims in America) have such freedom. That is why we welcome efforts like Saudi Arabian King Abdullah's Interfaith dialogue (How many churches and synagogues are there in Saudi Arabia?) and Turkey's leadership in the Alliance of Civilizations (As long as non-Muslims accept the Dhimmitude).

The right of women to wear the hajib I give freely. You should educate them, but remember your faith does not allow them to be treated equally.

I give you the gift of Democracy. But only the Democracy that you want. I urge you to treat your non-Muslims with dignity, but remember they are Dhimmis and you know the rights they are to have.

And then He spoke from the Koran, He spoke the words of peace and understanding.

The assembled in the Hall of Learning rose in great cheers. For He will give them the world on a platter and they have to do almost nothing. No more cries of: "Death to Israel!" No more whispers and planning. All they have to do is sit back and let it happen.

But a wind began to stir. The discord of dissent was coming from the Holy City. The Leader of the Hebrews, Netanyahu arose. He spoke the words of discourse loud enough for all to hear:

Buying that small car to save money on gasoline may end up costing you your life in exchange for that few dollars saved on fuel.

In a car crash, a driver is twice as likely to die in a small car as in a midsize car. Please note that the mid-size car is just one step up the size scale. So make the small cars safer, you say. Well, it can be done, but that will increase the weight of the car and, again, reduce the gas mileage. It all comes down to the Law of Physics. Here’s an example I saw on a site some time ago: Pit a 2,000 pound VW Rabbit against a 6,000 pound Hummer - and the Hummer wins every time. 53% of small-car deaths back in 2005 involved only small cars. Either a single small car crashed into something such as a guardrail or tree or two small cars crashed into each other, according to the NHTSA data. Learn more HERE.

In an article from the Wall Street Journal site titled: “Small Cars are Dangerous Cars” it is stated: “The death rate in minis in multi-vehicle crashes is almost twice as high as that of large cars. And in single-vehicle crashes, where there's no oversized second vehicle to blame, the difference is even greater: Passengers in minis suffered three times as many deaths as in large cars.” You’ll find the article HERE.

It surely seems as if there is a concerted effort to keep this information quiet. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) is trying to get this information out to the auto buying public. Hardly anyone or any other organization is, however. Why? Answer: the government.

Back in 2002 a “National Research Council study found that the federal Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) standards contributed to about 2,000 deaths per year through their restrictions on car size and weight. But amazingly, with the exception of IIHS, there's practically no one else providing information on the size-safety issue” (Follow up HERE.) Where is the: National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and/or the Environmental Protection Agency, on this issue? They are unusually quiet. Could it be no one wants to rock the boat? No one wants to admit the emperor has no clothes.

The government is insisting on better gas mileage across the fleet of American cars. Today’s technology will only allow automakers to reduce the weight of the car in an attempt to reach those gas mileage figures. Oh, sure, there are some other things the automaker can do, but even then nothing much happens - except the price of the auto goes up.

Look, our feeling is that if an American wants to drive a small car he/she should be able to buy it and drive it. On the other hand if he/she wants to own and drive a large car or truck, he/she should be able to do that, as well. But, now the nanny government, the socialist government of the left, has all but taken complete control of the car making business in America and they will dictate what is placed in the showrooms for you to choose from. Obama, the new socialist president of America, has said he will insist those automakers make “green cars” Translated that means, with today’s technology, tiny little plastic and aluminum cars with outer skins not much thicker than a beer can.

So, let’s get real for a moment. Americans, for the most part, don’t like tiny little cars. So, they are going to drag their heels at buying the things when they first hit the showrooms. All that money the American taxpayer shelled out to bailout the automakers will be lost. Every penny will be gone. But, the government is not going to relent on producing those tiny little coffins on wheels. But the question remains -how to force the American public to buy them? That is the burning question. The answer is simple. Raise the federal taxes on gasoline until the per gallon price of gasoline reaches 6, 7, 8, or even 10 dollars a gallon - and keep the per gallon price artificially high and that will drive the American car buying public into those pregnant roller skates that government motors calls cars.

Well, America, the Flower Children are in charge and they show almost as much sense as they did in their heyday back in the ‘60’s. Back then, facts were annoying little things that just got in the way of their feelings. In that, they have not changed.

Common sense, which is certainly not common anymore, says small cars will get more people killed on the American highways. The Flower Children in our government had much rather save the environment (which, by the way, is in no danger from mankind) than save the lives of fellow human beings. How much sense does that make? None. But it doesn’t have to make sense if it makes you feel good. Keep that in mind when dealing with our Hippie Government and it will help you understand what is going on in Washington these days.

When a village raises your children, and those children reach voting age, you get a country with a government just like the US government today. You get a country with an economy just like the economy the US has today. You get a country with morals just like the morals the US has today, in other words - you get a socialist country, which is imploding, caving in, upon itself – just like America in 2009.

I submit to you that much, if not most, of what’s wrong with America today is a direct result of the way America’s children were raised. American parents abdicated their role as parents and teachers and instead allowed the village to do THEIR job for them.

There is no denying it - we allowed a village to raise our children and now we are paying the price. I am convinced our failure at child rearing is the cause of most of the crime and vandalism done in and to our towns and cities today. It is also the root cause of street gangs rivaling the murderous gangs of the old west -all because a village raised those kids.

In actuality, it takes a mom and a dad to take responsibility for their offspring and raise those children in the way they should go. It is the most important duty of every parent. As Solomon said: “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is grown he will not depart from it.” The scriptures also teach us that: “as the twig is bent, so growth the tree”! There it is, folks. Child-Rearing 101!

Did you see anything about a village raising your child? I didn’t, either. A village raising a child is strictly a socialist idea. They know that if they can get hold to that young mind they can indoctrinate that child and create another leftist clone. And they are correct. They can. It has happened, already. If you need evidence to convince you all you need do is look at our government today. It is a socialist government.

If you are going to bring a child into this world… be prepared to raise that child and teach that child what it means to be an American. Teach him, or her, the freedoms, the privileges, and most importantly the responsibility, one has as an American toward his fellow Americans.

Daycare has caused more damage to the American family and the American society that an atom bomb would have caused! Mothers, going off to work and dropping their children off to be raised by a stranger. That stranger spends more time a week with their children than they do. And they wonder why they have discipline problems when they have their child at home? Think about it. The child is just a visitor in his own home. His real home is at the daycare center!

I remember that my mother decided she would go to work, soon after my younger brother was born. He was a toddler and I was no more than five years of age. The company provided a nursery school for the employees, so my mother and father dropped us off there on mother’s first day at work. It lasted almost an entire day. By the end of the day, I had managed to cuss out the lady in charge of the place, got slapped across the face so hard the full imprint of the lady’s hand was plastered all over the left side of my face… all because I did not like the way she was treating my brother and I went to his defense. She decided she would treat me the same way; I rebelled and told her to take her hands off me and called her a” white-headed old Bi-ch”! That’s when I got smacked. The lady was fired and my parents nearly sued the company… but for fear of losing my father’s job, they did not. Thus, ended my one, and only, personal experience with daycare! I remain proud of it to this day! And… I detest over zealous authority figures to this day.

No, a village cannot raise a child properly. Oh, sure, they can raise a child, but you get … well, what we have today, socialists, and young barbarians!

Young parents, if you want your child reared properly, with the values YOU believe in, and with the core beliefs of YOUR family, then YOU raise your child YOURSELF! If, on the other hand, you trust someone else’s values above your own, then you allow someone else to raise your kids. It’s as simply as that.

Liberals Condone Rape of Conservative Women

This is just, well, disgusting. It all started when Playboy posted a list of the top ten conservative women to rape. Yes, that’s right - rape. Rather than denounce it, Politico reporter Ann Schroeder thought it would be something fun to link to. After being called out by Michelle Malkin, who was on the list, Politico took the post down.

But that wasn’t the end of it. US News reporter Bonnie Erbe also thought that raping conservative women was a fun subject. She defended a couple of them, but seemed to believe that Michelle Malkin deserves such a fate. Like I said, this is disgusting.

This is just so typical of the left. I don’t know about you, but I have never heard anyone on our side condone rape. I’m glad I cancelled my subscription to US News last year.

Gateway Pundit summed it perfectly: “So now the Left believes that raping conservative women may be a bad thing…Unless they deserve it. That’s freakin scary.” Scary indeed. I’d like to know where the rest of the media is on this story…you know…the one’s who are against rape.

California Dreamin’: Nation can’t afford to follow California’s example

Ah, California. That magical land that is the nation’s trend-setter, home of Disneyland and the Hollywood film industry, and so many other things, good and bad, beautiful and ugly.

California is in big trouble. Its tax revenues were down $1.9 billion in April, normally the largest month for collections, and its budget deficit could swell to $24 billion by the end of the fiscal year in June.

The state’s government has spent itself into a hole.

According to the San Jose Mercury News website, the programs “that received most of that money are priorities that Californians broadly support or have demanded at the ballot box: tougher prison sentences for criminals, health care for uninsured children and an aging population, and a cut in the ‘car tax’ that they pay every year to register their vehicles.” All those are worthy things, but except for the car tax, they aren’t free; they cost money.

The state auditor blames both political parties for shirking their responsibility for the last 10 years. “Like homeowners paying off one credit card with another,” the Mercury News said, “they used accounting gimmicks and more debt, rather than raising taxes or cutting spending, to balance the books.”

But having high enough taxes doesn’t seem to be the problem: California has the eighth highest corporate income taxes in the U.S., as well as the nation’s most progressive income tax scheme, and the 13th highest state and local sales tax burden in the nation. The Tax Foundation says that Californians face the nation’s 6th highest tax burden.

U.S. Rep. Tom McClintock, a California Republican, said the problem is that the bureaucracy has grown too large and powerful, pays workers too much, and it is difficult to fire government workers when needed. He said many government functions should be outsourced to private firms. “We’ve got to put our wardens back in charge of prisons, and principals back in charge of teachers, and introduce competitive pressures back into those systems,” he said.

Californians have earned much of the misery their state now experiences, by electing a liberal legislature that has created a system of high taxes and high spending. It is a heavily one-party state, voting for Barack Obama 61 to 37 percent. Things are just as lopsided in the state Legislature, with the State Senate 62.5 percent Democrat, and the State Assembly 63.75 percent Democrat. Its Congressional delegation is also heavily Democrat, with that party holding 62.26 percent of the state’s seats in the House of Representatives, and both seats in the U.S. Senate.

Democrats love high taxes, high spending, and big government, but the last three governors, two of them Republicans, have contributed to the out-of-control spending. According to Adam Summers of the Reason Foundation, California’s government spending explosion began “when Gov. Pete Wilson [R] took office in 1991, and the state budget was $51.4 billion. When he left eight years later, it was $75.3 billion. After five years of Gov. [Gray] Davis’s [D] administration, the budget had jumped to $104.2, and after another five years under the stewardship of Gov. [Arnold] Schwarzenegger [R], it has continued to increase significantly to its present level of $144.5 billion. In just the last 10 years state spending has nearly doubled, increasing approximately 92 percent.”

California now is forced to do what it ought to voluntarily have done years ago: cut spending and reduce government.

An Associated Press story reported that Gov. Schwarzenegger plans cutbacks to counter the budget deficit that could include ending the state’s main welfare program for the poor, eliminating health coverage for about 1.5 million poor children, halting cash grants for about 77,000 college students, shortening the school year by seven days, laying off thousands of state workers and teachers, slashing money for state parks and releasing thousands of prisoners before their sentences are finished.

“I understand that these cuts are very painful and they affect real lives,” Gov. Schwarzenegger said. “This is the harsh reality and the reality that we face. Sacramento is not Washington — we cannot print our own money. We can only spend what we have.” He also has advocated selling state assets to raise cash, including the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and San Quentin State Prison.

The Democrats who control the Legislature do not want major spending cuts, but so far they don’t have another plan for narrowing the deficit. And if their solution is higher taxes and more borrowing, they will only compound the situation.

The message everyone ought to take from this sad story is that high taxes, high spending and a large bureaucracy are a prescription for disaster. And we also had better take note of the similarity to what our federal government is doing.

Philosopher George Santayana said, “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” California’s self-imposed predicament is a graphic illustration of what happens when politicians put political goals ahead of sound fiscal policy. We must not fail to take note.

The federal government has been doing this for years, but until now its political excesses and fiscal irresponsibility haven’t threatened the nation with disaster.

The Obama Administration has been excellent at keeping a crisis of some kind ongoing in the US while they continue to get their crash socialist programs through the Congress and made into law before the American people figure out what hit us. It’s called “mis-direction.” Magicians use it all the time. The reason Magicians and politicians use it - because it works!

When The Obama people run out of crises and the smoke clears a little and the American people begin to get a look through the low hanging mist, there are going to be a lot of jaws dropping and dragging the floor. In fact, it has already begun.

It is sometimes known as “Buyer’s Remorse.” You know, its that sinking feeling you get after you get home from a shopping trip with something you felt at the time the salesman was pitching it to you that you absolutely must have. Now that you are home with that item, which is now ALL YOURS, you realize, you really didn’t need it at all! In fact, you don’t even want the “cussed thing”, but. - Now you OWN IT! That is Buyer’s Remorse.

That is what a lot of Obama supporters are feeling these days. It is certainly not because we conservatives didn’t warn them, we did, loud and clear and long, we warned them. Too late, they discovered we actually DID know what we were talking about. But, as I said, it is too late.

Hopefully enough of those mis-directed voters will clear their heads in time to help those of us already in the trenches stop Obama’s attempt to grant amnesty to the nearly, what, 30 million (?), or so, illegal immigrants in the US. Yes, it is the amnesty program we fought so hard, a couple of years ago under the Bush administration, and managed to squelch. We knew then it was only temporary. Now we have a new President, and soon, a new effort to get that Illegal Immigrant Amnesty Program pushed through a socialist Congress. It will not be nearly so easy this time to stop it. In fact, it will be a nail-biter right down ‘til the last vote is counted in the US House and the US Senate.

So – I’m wondering: Is it time to close the Golden Door and out lady Liberty’s Torch? I think it is… at least for a time.

The US is being overrun with immigrants, legal and illegal. So many are coming in that we can no longer keep up with them… and as a result, we haven’t a clue who is here… and what their intentions are. Granted the recession has slowed the invasion, for now, but the recession is almost over and those numbers will begin climbing again, and soon.

We have lost our government socialists. Now we are is severe danger of losing our country. Three immigrants babies are born for every baby born to a US Citizen. See what I mean? See how the numbers are against us? Those babies, born of immigrant parents, become an American citizen at the moment of birth. In a few years, that same young American citizen can sponsor other members of his, or her, family and bring them to live in the US as well.

Something has to be done… and quickly.

We need to shut down legal immigration for a few years… a moratorium on immigration, if you will. That will allow us to catch our national breath. And then we need to close, and seal, the southern, and northern, borders of the US.

We must also understand that terrorists find our wide-open southern border an open invitation to enter through their enemy’s soft underbelly and deal death and destruction to the citizens of this once great country. We know this because we have caught at least a few of them. For those we caught… how many got through? That should keep you up tonight!

A country must be able to control its borders, or it is doomed. Sorry to say, I do not see the will in our elected officials, including the President, to take the nations security seriously and close and seal those borders. See, those folks stealing across that border look very much like democrat voters to the democrat/socialists now running our government.

Please don’t tell me it can’t be done. DO NOT TRY to tell me we cannot close and seal that border. We have US troops patrolling the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan and we have US troops patrolling the border between Iraq and Syria and Iraq and Iran. But, we have no US troops patrolling the borders between the US and Mexico and the US and Canada. Does that make any sort of sense to you? Because it, sure as heck, does not make sense to me!

Dealing the border(s) can be done. But, one thing is missing. The political will to do it. This is another point at which “the governed” and “the governors” differ in the US. Again, I fear the explanation is simply – votes for the Democrat/Socialists and a cheap labor pool for the GOP.

I am convinced the American people would like to preserve their identity and their national security. Unfortunately, our legislators seem interested only in securing more and more power for themselves… and if that means allowing illegal and legal, immigrants into this country in hopes of persuading them to align themselves with their political party, then so be it. (And, as noted above, there, in a nutshell, is the problem.)

When the 2010 political campaigns swing into high gear, in a few months, I’d like to see this problem front and center on the list of things the candidates need to address and actually do something about! I doubt it will be on that list, but if we push long enough, and loud enough, we will, at some point, get their attention. If we don’t speak up, if we don’t rattle their cages, we are going to be steam-rolled by the democrat/socialist juggernaut.

I am one of those “dreamers” who believes; deep down in the core of my being, that man’s destiny lies in the stars. I believe we are destined to spread throughout the known universe and even beyond. But, until we are ready to colonize the stars we are going to have to make a home for ourselves here… on this planet. As in 15th, and 16th, century Europe, many of us are ready to pull out and go establish ourselves another society. We haven’t the means, yet. But in the future we will, and the stars will really be our homes. But, ‘til then, we must do everything in our power to secure the place on this planet we call home. We can begin by sealing our borders - especially the southern border with Mexico.

Geithner, Feds Sued for Shariah Compliant Financing

U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and the Federal Reserve attempted to have a lawsuit dismissed against them, which charges that U.S. ownership of American International Group (AIG) is unconstitutional because AIG is the "market leader in Shariah compliant financing."
The lawsuit cites links between "charities that receive funds as a result of Shariah-compliant financing and "terrorist organizations that are hostile to the United States."

The controversy involves Shariah-compliant financing, part of which requires charitable contributions to those who "struggle for Allah" ("jihad").

The lawsuit is filed as Kevin J. Murray v. Timothy F. Geithner and Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. The Thomas More Law Center is representing Mr. Murray. U.S. District Judge Lawrence P. Zatkoff pointed to a "government co-sponsored forum entitled Islamic Finance 101." Murray argues that it is unconstitutional for the government to own 77.9% of a company that "extensively practices Shariah-compliant finance."

Geithner and the Feds asked the judge to dismiss the case immediately. In what a Washington Times editorial describes as a "devastating 16-page decision," Judge Zatkoff denied Geithner's motion, which said the U.S. was in "Times of Crisis" when the ownership of AIG occurred. Zatkoff said that even though we may have been in "Times of crisis," such times "do not justify departure from the Constitution."

Hurrah for a judge who respects the constitution and rules for the Constitution and intends for a citizen to have a full hearing on the issue. What a refreshing change in a week that has seen Attorney General Eric Holder completely and blatantly dismiss a voter intimidation case against the New Black Panthers, with plenty of evidence, including video and witness testimony.

New Zeal Blog Nails Obama Hawaii/Chicago Communist Nexus

A man I am proud to call my friend, Trevor Loudon of New Zeal Blog, has done incredible work ferreting out little-known facts about Obama and his myriad connections to the American Communist Party (CPUSA). I have quoted his work extensively in my Manufactured Crisis series.

In his latest post, "Obama File 78, Hard Evidence! Proof that Obama's Hawaii and Chicago Communist Networks Were Linked?" Trevor provides convincing evidence that Obama moved to Chicago specifically to take advantage of Frank Marshall Davis' communist connections in that city. Following is a concluding paragraph that summarizes the gist of the article:

Frank Marshall Davis works closely in communist causes with Vernon Jarrett [A prominent communist journalist] in Chicago. Davis moves to hawaii where he eventually meets and mentors a young Barack Obama. Then Obama moves to Chicago where his career is promoted by both Davis's old colleague Vernon Jarrett and the Communist Party. Vernon Jarrett's daughter-in-law [Valerie Jarrett] employs Barack Obama's fiance, befriends the family and becomes one of President Obama's most trusted advisors. The Communist Party throws its entire weight behind Obama's presidential campaign.

Are we expected to believe that this is all mere coincidence?

I urge you to read this post and as many of his others as you can. After reading these articles, no person with a functioning brain will be able to deny Obama's deep commitment to the communist cause.

OK, so what IS Christian Zionism, anyway? I was surprised to learn, over the weekend, that I had never heard the term before – or if I had, it had completely flown right by me without mussing even a single hair on my rather thick head!Here’s what Wikipedia has to say about Christian Zionism:

Christian Zionism is a belief among some Christians that the return of the Jews to the Holy Land, and the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948, is in accordance with Biblical prophecy. It overlaps with, but is distinct from, the nineteenth century movement for the Restoration of the Jews o the Holy Land, which had both religiously and politically motivated supporters.

Some Christian Zionists believe that the "ingathering" of Jews in Israel is a prerequisite for the Second Coming of Jesus. This belief is primarily, though not exclusively, associated with Christian Dispensationalism. The idea that Christians should actively support a Jewish return to the Land of Israel, along with the parallel idea that the Jews ought to be encouraged to become Christian, as a means fulfilling a Biblical prophecy has been common in Protestant circles since the Reformation. The term Christian Zionism was popularized in the mid-twentieth century. Prior to that time the common term was Restorationism.

Many Christian Zionists believe that the people of Israel remain part of the Chosen People of God, along with the in-grafted (based on Romans 11:17-24, Holy Bible) Gentile Christians. This has the added effect of turning Christian Zionists into supporters of Jewish Zionism.

Now let us turn to an article in June 2009 edition of “The Lutheran” magazine, a publication of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, (ELCA) a denomination, which has my name engraved on its rolls ONLY because it would embarrass my wife to near death if I resigned my membership and ANYONE found out! But, in the interest of full disclosure, allow me to explain that I no longer attend services, and haven’t, since the church, in my humble opinion, was taken over by hardcore leftists and, somehow, lost it’s way in it’s mission to spread the Gospel (the Good News of Jesus) and appears dangerously close to having replaced a scriptural doctrine with a secular doctrine. (This is another of those instances when I sincerely hope I am wrong for I have a deep and abiding love for the Lutheran Church.) For, you see, I believe in “sola scriptura” (from the Latin meaning: “by scripture alone.”) and for me, as a protestant that means that I maintain that the Scripture alone is the authority for the people of God. For my Roman Catholic friends, however, I respect your different interpretation. I reserve the right to disagree, but I do respect your position.

The article I mentioned above can be found HERE. (If you have the current hard copy issue you will find the article begins on page eighteen.) Once you read the article you will quickly see why I separated myself from active membership in the denomination.

On page 23 under the caption “Key Terms” Christian Zionism is defined this way: “Political action, informed by specifically Christian commitments, to promote or preserve Jewish control over the geographic area now comprising the State of Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories. Not all Christian Zionists are motivated by end-times speculation.”

MY definition goes something like this: I am a Christian Zionist because one: I am a Christian - and two: because the land in question belongs to Israel traditionally, historically, and in every other way that counts. Add to that the fact that there has never been a land of Palestine or a Palestinian people. (Who was the last Palestinian king? Where is the capital city of Palestine?) Those refugees who lay claim to the name of Palestinians and also lay claim to the land of Israel have bogus claims.

I have never read a single one of the “Left Behind” books. Not interested. In my humble opinion they are based on a flawed premise, therefore they can be dangerous to those who read them without a solid base in real history, not the revisionist stuff passed off by today’s academia as the real thing. Plus, for those with only a passing knowledge of the scriptures that kind of literature can be extremely dangerous.

I just happen to believe that Israel has the only legitimate claim to the land of Israel and I support their claim. By some definitions, as noted above, that makes me a Christian Zionist. I also believe the Jews remain God’s Chosen People as Saint Paul said, (“I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin….” From the eleventh chapter of the book of Romans) and, I believe, as a Christian, I am expected to love them and/or “bless” them. You see, I recognize God's biblical commands for Christians to support the Jewish people. Some biblical scholars tell me that belief puts me, and all like me, in a special group of Christians - and I am hated for it.

As I delved deeper into what Christian Zionists are today, I found that Christian Zionists are "Biblical advocates" for the Jewish people and the state of Israel. Furthermore, they stand in firm, diametrical, opposition to land concessions of any sort which involve the forfeiture of the holy land of Israel as it is a sacred manifestation of the promises of God to the people He calls the "apple of His eye". (Learn more HERE.) That pretty much sums up my own stance on “land concessions.” and the Two State Policy the Obama Administration is attempting to foist onto the people of Israel this very day.

Now, I want to tread softly here. What I am about to say will be difficult for some of you to hear and some of you will never accept it’s validity.

Here’s the way I see it: I cannot support a Two-State Policy (a State of Israel and a State of Palestine) when that policy involves giving away land, which was given to Israel by God (If one believes the scripture.). It is my considered opinion that no man has a right to interfere with such a divine endowment. For any nation, even the United States of America, to force Israel to go against the dictates of God, can only bring destruction upon that nation. And so, with those few words I shall forever be known as a “Christian Zionist.”

So, why, then, am I writing what some will see as a “religious” piece here on what is normally a political site? Because this is one of those instances in which religion and politics manage to crash, smack-dab, into each other. For whether one wishes to believe it, or not, the vast majority of Americans, both left and right, are people of religion. From the earliest explorers of this land, who came ashore bearing a sword (politics) and a cross (religion) right up to the modern era, religion and politics have never been completely divorced from each other. Now, especially now, that we are neck deep in the birthplace of the world’s three major religions it would be a fool’s folly to think, for one minute, that we can navigate the political minefield before us without major clashes over religion and politics. It is an equal folly to believe the Obama Administration can tiptoe through that minefield with impunity. It is not going to happen.

So, as one of those hated “Christian Zionists,” I offer this warning: Strap in! We are in for a very bumpy ride ahead in our dealings with Israel and the so-called Palestinians, and Israel and the Iranians. Either we, the US, get out of the way and allow Israel to be Israel, and deal with those problems as she sees fit, or we can interfere and get hammered. Judging from the performance of the Obama Administration to date, it is not difficult to predict which course his government will take. It is the wrong course and it will cost the US dearly, and in the end, America will still be fighting wars in the Middle East many decades from now.
