It Starts At The Dinner Table…..

By: J Robert Giles

@JRobertGiles

“Each day of our lives, we make deposits in the memory banks of our children.”   - Charles R. Swindoll

It’s a cliché to say that being a parent changes the way you look at things. Of course it does. For most of us, becoming a parent means an abrupt, loud, and completely exhausting end to the life we had led to that point. It doesn’t matter how old the parents are or how well planned the pregnancy may have been, once that child arrives, the IMAG1226 world of the parent is a completely different one. Parents find a joy in seeing the world through the eyes of their children. There’s an indescribable sense of pleasure to be found in watching your child figure out a concept with which you yourself struggled as a child. Some are more momentous like watching them suffer a competitive loss but take away the appropriate lessons. Others are more humorous like watching a 7 year old boy in complete awe of the “curly fry.” The feeling a parent has at the end of a really good day with their kids is a spiritual experience. It can’t be duplicated.

Is it too much to ask for a government who feels the same way about this country? Is it out of the realm of possibility for us to take control of the spiraling mess that has been created in Washington DC? A parent, even one whose abilities may have been called into question a time or two, would move heaven and earth to protect their kids. Does anybody in this country feel that our government would feel the same way about us as their kids? Many of the values that parents try to instill in their children are values our government does not believe in. Even the most selfish of men will do everything in his power to steer his kids clear of the mistakes he has made in his own life. A parent would recognize trends in their children that have led down destructive paths in their own history. Our government has no such instinct. A parent would gladly sacrifice time and emotion to impart the wisdom of independence onto his children. A parent wants their kids to know the sheer joy of working towards a successful goal. Whether that goal is athletic, scholastic, or personal a parent knows that the work put in is twice as valuable as the goal itself could ever be. Our government has chosen a different parenting style. Our government has chosen to breed a mentality of dependency. An involved and effective parent would never allow a child to label laziness and greed as anything but laziness and greed and we would never encourage our kids to demand the fruits of another man’s labor. A good parent knows that there is infinitely more pride to be found in independence than there will ever be in dependence.

If the government cared about America as a parent cares about their children, then the issue of debt would not be at the center of every election this country will face for the rest of my lifetime. Think about that…..the amount of debt we have allowed to accrue under just ONE President will still be a burden long after any of the eyes reading these words have closed for the final time. A parent doesn’t prepare their children for life in such a fashion. Those who do are the ones who benefit most from our government’s complete lack of responsibility. A parent who feels no remorse in leaving a staggering financial burden to their children doesn’t deserve to have kids in the first place. That doesn’t mean that all parents who leave a debt to their kids are failures, it just means that those who actively plan to do so are failures. While I make no attempt to hide the fact that I am conservative when it comes to politics, this issue goes well beyond party affiliation. Figuring out who is to blame for the decay in the relationship between citizen and government is just as big a waste of time as trying to figure out who started the fight between brother and sister. It doesn’t matter, it just needs to stop.

A good parent would never, in a million years, choose the interests of his or her friends over the safety and needs of his or her own children. Every time our government makesObama Buffett a decision based solely in ideology, that’s exactly what they’re doing. Every time Barack Hussein Obama kills a job-producing, price-at-the-pump reducing, pipeline proposal so that Canadian oil can still be transported via the railroads owned by a “close personal friend,” he’s choosing that friend’s needs over yours. Every time Barack Hussein Obama travels to Maine and meets with the Union Leaders but refuses to meet with the suffering fisherman who desperately need a morale boost, he’s choosing the needs of his  friends over yours. Every time His Barackness eats a puppy, he’s taking it directly from the hands of YOUR daughter. Every time Nancy Pelosi speaks, she’s defying what’s actually needed in favor of what’s needed to keep her and her friends in “power.” Every time Bill Clinton uses a Cuban cigar to pleasure his fat-chicks, he’s disregarding American need. Every time taxpayer money is used to advance ideology, it’s the same as you strapping your own children into the back of a Chevy Volt full of highly volatile, absurdly flammable, materials.

In November, it will finally be time for all of us to demand a better government. It will be time for all of us to stand up and scream until the “politicians” on Capitol Hill start behaving a little more like parents. The Presidential Election is only a symbol of that resolve. The results will come in our ability to stick to our demands well after the polls close. No longer can we stand by and allow horrible decisions to be made but only show concern when an election is looming. That’s what got us here. November will mark the family intervention that hopefully sets this country back on track toward the future we all know is waiting for us. A future that requires hard work by all, not just those who haven’t yet figured out how to milk the system. A future where dependency is frowned upon and integrity is honorable. A future where America stops wearing a diaper, puts on our big-boy pants, and finally starts to take more pride in the journey than the destination.

As always, thanks for playing.

Blame America's Parents For This Mess!

Blame America’s Parents For This Mess.
J. D. Longstreet
************************

When a village raises your children, and those children reach voting age, you get a country with a government just like the US government today. You get a country with an economy just like the economy the US has today. You get a country with morals just like the morals the US has today, in other words - you get a socialist country, which is imploding, caving in, upon itself – just like America in 2009.

I submit to you that much, if not most, of what’s wrong with America today is a direct result of the way America’s children were raised. American parents abdicated their role as parents and teachers and instead allowed the village to do THEIR job for them.

There is no denying it - we allowed a village to raise our children and now we are paying the price. I am convinced our failure at child rearing is the cause of most of the crime and vandalism done in and to our towns and cities today. It is also the root cause of street gangs rivaling the murderous gangs of the old west -all because a village raised those kids.

In actuality, it takes a mom and a dad to take responsibility for their offspring and raise those children in the way they should go. It is the most important duty of every parent. As Solomon said: “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is grown he will not depart from it.” The scriptures also teach us that: “as the twig is bent, so growth the tree”! There it is, folks. Child-Rearing 101!

Did you see anything about a village raising your child? I didn’t, either. A village raising a child is strictly a socialist idea. They know that if they can get hold to that young mind they can indoctrinate that child and create another leftist clone. And they are correct. They can. It has happened, already. If you need evidence to convince you all you need do is look at our government today. It is a socialist government.

If you are going to bring a child into this world… be prepared to raise that child and teach that child what it means to be an American. Teach him, or her, the freedoms, the privileges, and most importantly the responsibility, one has as an American toward his fellow Americans.

Daycare has caused more damage to the American family and the American society that an atom bomb would have caused! Mothers, going off to work and dropping their children off to be raised by a stranger. That stranger spends more time a week with their children than they do. And they wonder why they have discipline problems when they have their child at home? Think about it. The child is just a visitor in his own home. His real home is at the daycare center!

I remember that my mother decided she would go to work, soon after my younger brother was born. He was a toddler and I was no more than five years of age. The company provided a nursery school for the employees, so my mother and father dropped us off there on mother’s first day at work. It lasted almost an entire day. By the end of the day, I had managed to cuss out the lady in charge of the place, got slapped across the face so hard the full imprint of the lady’s hand was plastered all over the left side of my face… all because I did not like the way she was treating my brother and I went to his defense. She decided she would treat me the same way; I rebelled and told her to take her hands off me and called her a” white-headed old Bi-ch”! That’s when I got smacked. The lady was fired and my parents nearly sued the company… but for fear of losing my father’s job, they did not. Thus, ended my one, and only, personal experience with daycare! I remain proud of it to this day! And… I detest over zealous authority figures to this day.

No, a village cannot raise a child properly. Oh, sure, they can raise a child, but you get … well, what we have today, socialists, and young barbarians!

Young parents, if you want your child reared properly, with the values YOU believe in, and with the core beliefs of YOUR family, then YOU raise your child YOURSELF! If, on the other hand, you trust someone else’s values above your own, then you allow someone else to raise your kids. It’s as simply as that.

It's About Manipulation: Lost Parental Rights

I asked Christine of Talk Wisdom if I could republish her article “It’s About Manipulation” because it directly relates to Saturday’s article “Discrediting the Family as an Institution: THE BIG PICTURE" – a current example (Deerfield High School) of how our public schools are circumventing parental authority – encouraging students to lie to their parents – and are attempting to destroy the very fabric of family and society. . ..

It's About Manipulation

I do not normally take an entire article from a news source and post it here at my blog. But this article is so important, especially to parents, and it needs widespread publicity. This excerpt is so vividly comprehensive about how the gay rights movement has hoodwinked America through brilliant, yet evil, kind of manipulation tactics. Quite frankly, reading it will inevitably be a severe jolt to the heart, soul and mind of any reader.

It has been about 5 years since I gradually found out most of what is contained within this article. My opposition to the 'gay rights' movement started when the school my son and daughter were attending started a 'gay-straight alliance'. My Christian friend and neighbor sounded the alarm bells and alerted me about this new group which would meet on the campus of our children's high school. I began doing research on the organizations (such as GLSEN, GLADD, PFLAG etc.) and was absolutely horrified about what I found out.

My research led me to find out about the infamous Tufts University "Fistgate" and what filth was being taught to impressionable teenagers without the knowledge of their parents. The more research I did, the more disturbing evidence I discovered.

Parents rights were being usurped by radical homosexual activists in Massachusetts. California was most likely next in line to fall into the same trap if people (especially parents) continued to keep their heads in the sand on this issue. Thus began my efforts to do all I could to expose what was really happening and why.

This portion of David Kupelian's book, "The Marketing of Evil: How Radicals, Elitists, and Pseudo-Experts Sell Us Corruption Disguised as Freedom, encapsulates much of what I have learned over the past five years, as well as new information that truely astonished me.

I am buying this book today because after reading this portion, I realize that I need to know more....MUCH more!Christine

THE MARKETING OF EVIL
How 'gay rights' is being sold to AmericaExposed: Powerful manipulation techniques behind radical homosexual agenda . . .

Editor's note: Following is the highly acclaimed – and to many, shocking – first chapter of WND Managing Editor David Kupelian's blockbuster book, "The Marketing of Evil: How Radicals, Elitists, and Pseudo-Experts Sell Us Corruption Disguised as Freedom." In it, Kupelian rips the veil off the previously hidden marketing strategies and powerful propaganda techniques used with such stunning success to "sell" Americans on homosexuality and the radical "gay rights" agenda over the last few years – a marketing juggernaut that continues to accelerate daily. . .

Thank you Christine for sharing your article (above) with our readers.

What is FISTGATE???

Before I present the case against FISTGATE, let me share a little of the typical X Rated sensibilities these folks really have. This filth comes from Lesbinnes sex (no hot link provided to these gutter snipes).

February 10th, 2007 by espaciox
Fistgate to be Held Again on March 15 … GLSEN, an acronym for Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network, says that … sex, including thrusting your fist into another’s rectum, before anything …

I need not go any furthere to demonstrate what these groups are all about!!!

Here’s a little background on Fistgate from a 2003 Free Republic article:

CNSNews.com) - Lawyers from a homosexual advocacy group took depositions from a Massachusetts parent this week, almost three years after he first exposed "Fistgate," a state-sponsored workshop in which educators instructed teens in graphic homosexual sex.

The deposition of Brian Camenker, taken Tuesday by lawyers for the Boston-based Gay and Lesbian Advocates and Defenders, is an effort to put parents under financial strain and to discourage others around the country from bringing similar workshops to light, Camenker charged."

If they are able to be able to beat us in Massachusetts, they can continue to hound any parent who gets in their way," said Camenker, president of the Parents Rights Coalition.

Two Massachusetts Department of Education staffers lost their jobs because of their involvement in the state-funded workshop held at Tufts University in March 2000, called "What They Don't Tell You About Queer Sex and Sexuality in Health Class." The Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network co-sponsored the workshop.

Homosexual advocacy groups have been pursuing lawsuits against Camenker and Scott Whiteman, another parent, for secretly recording, exposing and publicizing the event, in which instructors encouraged children as young as 14 years of age to engage in life-threatening sex acts. One instructor told the students: "Fisting often gets a bad rap."

"Fistgate" soon attracted national prominence. Among others, Sean Hannity discusses the event in his book, Let Freedom Ring, and William Bennett talks about the event in his book, The Broken Hearth . This past week, Alan Keyes made a trip to Boston to speak on behalf of Camenker and Whiteman, as well as rally support for their cause.

Legal defense costs since homosexual advocacy groups first deposed Camenker and Whiteman in the summer of 2000 have reached well over $100,000, Camenker said.

"It has a certain national significance as to what the gays can do to parents who expose the stuff," he added.

The Gay and Lesbian Advocates and Defenders did not return calls for comment.
