I have come to the conclusion that no matter what we say, what we do, Congress will do what they want.  We cannot stop the spending, the stupidity that why even bother?

In a couple of years people with AIDS will discover that under Obamacare their lifesaving drugs will be cut off.  They are too expensive and the money is needed for Planned Parenthood and Free Abortions.  Speaking of Abortions, women will be told how many children they can have and forced to Abort the ones the government decides is not "worthy" of life.  If your child is to be born with a birth defect or is mentally handicapped, it will be aborted for the sake of society.  To the elderly, forget about hip replacements (knees too), or open heart surgery.  They are too expensive and the lines on the lists will be so long that you will never be able to receive one.  Forget about long hospital stays either.  If you get sick, you will be sent home to die.  Cancer treatments are too expensive too.  There will be long waiting lists for what is now routine tests.  Soon the government will get you to wait until the cancer is too far along for you to survive.  This will be life under Obamacare.

But wait.  Under the Obama Regime the coal industry will be fully shut down.  Millions of Americans will be out of work from it and we will then import coal from Mexico.  The insanity of this is beyond comprehension.  The United States is the Saudi Arabia of coal.  And since coal will be scarce, and most electric plants are coal based, there will be rolling blackouts of the over aging electric grid.  Businesses will go under since they need a steady supply of electricity to function.  More layoffs.  And in the winter many elderly will freeze to death when they have no heat.  Thus eliminating their drain on the Healthcare system.  A win-win for the liberals.

And then there is the debt ceiling.  And how Congress is planning on raising it once again to $2.5 Trillion.  Each time Obama will want a bailout, to spend money, they will raise the debt ceiling until it the debt is $20 Trillion, $30 Trillion or G-d knows how high.  And the Stock Market will crash.  And crash hard.  Taxes will raise, first on the rich, then on everyone else.  The economy will be so bad that the currency will be worthless and hyper-inflation will ensue.  We will look like the Weimar Republic or Zimbabwe.  I wonder if Michelle Obama will use the US Treasury as her personal allowance the way Grace Mugabe, wife of Robert Mugabe does with the National Treasury of Zimbabwe.

Oh yes, the left will get everything they demanded.  Free food, free housing, free money, free healthcare, free phones.  And the US will go very deeply into debt.  And when the money runs out, it won't be to Obama and the Democrats the people will run to when everything is turned off.  No it will be to us Conservative they will go to.  They will cry like the spoiled children they are, and demand we fix the problem.

I only pray that we will be able to do so.

Section 1: “The judicial power of the United States, shall be vested in one Supreme Court, and in such inferior courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish. The judges, both of the supreme and inferior courts, shall hold their offices during good behaviour, and shall, at stated times, receive for their services, a compensation, which shall not be diminished during their continuance in office.

Section 2: The judicial power shall extend to all cases, in law and equity, arising under this Constitution, the laws of the United States, and treaties made, or which shall be made, under their authority;--to all cases affecting ambassadors, other public ministers and consuls;--to all cases of admiralty and maritime jurisdiction;--to controversies to which the United States shall be a party;--to controversies between two or more states;--between a state and citizens of another state;--between citizens of different states;--between citizens of the same state claiming lands under grants of different states, and between a state, or the citizens thereof, and foreign states, citizens or subjects.”

In the event you were not aware – “the Constitution grants Congress power to create and abolish federal courts, although the United States Supreme Court is the only court that cannot be abolished. Congress also has the authority to determine the number of judges in the federal judiciary system.” (SOURCE)

Earlier this year, Newt Gingrich called for the complete abolition of the Ninth Circuit Court. Gingrich was speaking to the annual gathering of the Conservative Political Action Conference at the time. Referring to an action by President Thomas Jefferson, Gingrich said the “judicial reform act of 1802 abolished 18 out of 35 federal judges, over half…I am more cautious than Jefferson. I would only abolish the Ninth Circuit Court.” (SOURCE)

You may disagree with Mr. Gingrich but, frankly, he may be onto something here.
The Ninth Circuit Court is the biggest of all the federal courts. It is based in San Francisco and it is heavily liberal. This particular court is a pain in the posterior to all things conservative.

Back in November of 2009, Gingrich is reported to have said: “It is constitutionally permissible, for the legislature and the president to say to a court, you are intolerable, and you no longer exist. And we need that debate because I am tired of secular fanatics trying to redesign America in their image.” (SOURCE)

I could not agree more!

Just this week (Tuesday, October 27th, 2010) the Ninth Circuit Court ruled that Arizona couldn’t require proof of citizenship in the United States when registering to vote.

“A three-judge panel for the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit on Tuesday struck down a portion of an Arizona law requiring proof of citizenship for voter registration. The court held that the law, Proposition 200, was inconsistent with the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA), which was passed with the intent of increasing voter registration and removing barriers to registration imposed by the states. The NVRA requires voters to attest to the validity of the information on their registration form, including their citizenship, but does not require them to provide additional proof of citizenship. Proposition 200 went beyond the federal statute, requiring applicants to show proof of citizenship before registering to vote.” (SOURCE)

Now, maybe I’m a little slow on the uptake here, but doesn’t that effectively mean that non-citizens will be allowed to register to vote, oh, say, in the 2012 Presidential Election – not just in Arizona -- but also in all fifty states?

I realize that I am “Old Fashioned” but I was taught, and I still believe, that voting is a privilege granted to citizens of this country. In my opinion, a non-citizen should never be allowed to vote, in any country’s elections, under any circumstances.

On the other hand, if you happen to be the Democratic Party and you need all the votes you can get to gain and/or hold onto to power in a “Socialist Republic of America,” then you do everything within your power to allow all the illegal aliens you can squeeze across our southern border into the US and then grant them the privilege to vote in order to keep you in power. See? Makes all the sense in the world!

And the dems wonder why we are mad as hell? Like it, or not, THIS is the way this latest action by the federal court is being viewed and understood by Americans.

I visited my barbershop the morning of this writing, for a haircut, and even before I arrived the conversation had begun. The disgust and anger at the Democratic Party, the disgust and anger at the Obama Regime was flowing like a river of acid! Men and women were openly venting their anger at the loss of their freedom, the loss of their country and they did not mince words.

Everyone agreed that the United States of America is now a socialist country heading, as straight as a Martin to a gourd, towards communism. There was no discussion, pro and con. It was a declarative statement. There is RAGE out here -- and it is no longer simmering.

Everyone agreed, men and women alike, there will be open rioting in the streets of the US before the next election in 2012.

In my naiveté, I had thought this election, on Tuesday, would let some steam off and the anger level in America would subside, at least a bit. But, now, I am not so sure. This white-hot anger runs deep, at least here in the southern states. I am convinced you will see that on Tuesday evening.

By the way, it is rarely noted, but Arizona is a southern state. She stood with the Confederacy during the “late unpleasantness” of 1861 through 1865. Recently, the remainder of her former Confederate sisters see her as being “put upon” by the federal government and, frankly, we do not like it – at all.

Actions, such as the ruling by the Ninth Circuit Court referenced above, which will allow people who aren’t even supposed to be in the country, and, indeed, are already criminals, to vote, is viewed as nothing more than the heavy hand of an oppressive socialist government intent upon establishing a totalitarian regime and crush any resistance to their efforts.

Southerners have been in the vanguard of every rebellion against totalitarianism and oppressive government on the shores of this country -- even before it’s founding.

Southerners are kind, gentle, soft-spoken, hospitable, God-fearing people – right up til you get us mad.

As a Southerner, myself, I can attest that we are not mad, we aren’t even angry. We are LIVID!

Thanks to the Ninth Circuit Court even more southerners will be going to the polls to vote against the Obama Regime and the Democratic Party on Tuesday. We can do no less for our sister state of Arizona nor for our sister states above the Mason-Dixon line.

The Republican Party made a spectacular mistake in publishing their “A Pledge to America.” In an attempt to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory they have raised questions about their own party’s commitment to issues their base is most concerned with and about which they would like answers.

For instance, the pledge says nothing about a fence along the US/Mexico border. It is ambiguous about worksite enforcement of immigration laws and, most important of all, it does not mention amnesty for illegal aliens. WHY???

The 2008 Republican Platform committed the Republican Party to completing a border fence, enforcing immigration laws at the worksite, and opposing an amnesty. But “The Pledge” is ominously quiet on these extremely important issues. Again … WHY?

“The Pledge” says this: “Our borders are a vital part of our security, so we will act decisively to ensure that the federal government fulfills its constitutional duty to protect our citizens and our Nation, working closely with our state and local governments …” This is far too broad a statement to satisfy the GOP base -- not to mention the host of Independents and Tea Party members looking to cast a GOP ballot in November.

Nowhere in The Pledge is the word “FENCE” mentioned. The Pledge only says: “We must take action to secure our borders, and that action starts with enforcing our laws. We will ensure that the Border Patrol has the tools and authorities to establish operational control at the border and prohibit the Secretaries of the Interior and Agriculture from interfering with Border Patrol enforcement activities on federal lands.”

The Pledge says nothing about putting the quietus on the Federal Lawsuit against the state of Arizona for passing a state law that would, in fact, assist the federal government in enforcing immigration laws -- at least along that part of the border that bisects Mexico and Arizona. Why do you suppose that was left out, huh?

What about those employers who hire vast numbers of illegal aliens? Reports tell us the government already has a list of the worst of these offenders. What will a GOP controlled government do about them? Why doesn’t The Pledge address this?

In 2008, the Republican Party Platform had this to say about worksite enforcement: “Our commitment to the rule of law means smarter enforcement at the workplace, against illegal workers and lawbreaking employers alike, along with those who practice identity theft and traffic in fraudulent documents.” As broad a statement as THIS is better focused than The Pledge.

And what about amnesty for illegal aliens already in the US? The GOP platform of 2008 said this: “"We oppose amnesty. The rule of law suffers if government policies encourage or reward illegal activity. The American people’s rejection of en masse legalizations is especially appropriate given the federal government’s past failures to enforce the law.” The Pledge to America does not mention the party’s position on amnesty for illegal aliens now living in the US. Again, we have to ask WHY?

This omission is worrisome, very worrisome. I have to wonder what, exactly, is the position of the Republican Party on amnesty for illegal aliens, on constructing a formidable fence along the border between the US and Mexico, plus what, exactly, the GOP plans to do to bring the full force of the law down on those employers who continue to hire illegals they know, or should have known were/are illegally in the US.

All indications are that the US electorate is readying itself to place its trust in the GOP and hand them control of the legislative branch of the government in a little over a month. I don’t think it is asking too much to inquire of the GOP what the party’s position is on amnesty for illegal aliens, on securing the border with a physical fence, and enforcement of immigration laws with employers. We want to know and we want to know NOW before we cast a vote for another government with which we will be constantly at odds over illegal immigration.

Look, the American people feel the Democrats, and especially the Obama Regime, have snookered them. They are looking for a change… a change “BACK” if you will, to a responsive constitutional republic in which they can have, at least, a reasonable amount of trust and confidence. With The Pledge to America, the Republicans have given them reason to be distrustful not for what The Pledge says – but for what it does NOT say.

The GOP did itself no favor by publishing The Pledge to America. It was a dumb move on their part and it will cost them at the polls.

Now is not the time for overconfidence. No election is over until the last vote is counted. Even then, there are times when a recount is required to determine a winner.

Never, ever, present the enemy a target unless there is a well thought-out plan to use that target to entrap said enemy. With The Pledge to America, I see only a target with nothing very well thought out – at all.

US - DOJ Goes After Arizona – But Not NC. Why?

Here in North Carolina, if you are arrested, charged, and incarcerated for impaired driving, or any felony, you will be asked to prove you are a citizen of the United States. If you cannot, ICE (or Homeland Security) will be contacted and queried concerning your case. That’s the law in the Tar Heel state. It has been for some time now.

Once the Feds have been contacted, and they determine that you are, indeed, an illegal alien, we can only hope (IF the Feds do their job,) you will be deported forthwith.

Here is the exact wording from the North Carolina General Statutes:

§ 162‑62. Legal status of prisoners.
(a) When any person charged with a felony or an impaired driving offense is confined for any period in a county jail, local confinement facility, district confinement facility, or satellite jail/work release unit, the administrator or other person in charge of the facility shall attempt to determine if the prisoner is a legal resident of the United States by an inquiry of the prisoner, or by examination of any relevant documents, or both.

(b) If the administrator or other person in charge of the facility is unable to determine if that prisoner is a legal resident or citizen of the United States or its territories, the administrator or other person in charge of the facility holding the prisoner, where possible, shall make a query through the Division of Criminal Information (DCI) system to the Law Enforcement Support Center (LESC) of Immigration and Customs Enforcement of the United States Department of Homeland Security. If the LESC determines that the prisoner has not been lawfully admitted to the United States, the United States Department of Homeland Security will have been notified of the prisoner's status and confinement at the facility by its receipt of the DCI query from the facility.

(c) Nothing in this section shall be construed to deny bond to a prisoner or to prevent a prisoner from being released from confinement when that prisoner is otherwise eligible for release.
(d) The administrator or other person in charge of the facility shall annually report the number of queries performed under subsection (b) of this section and the results of those queries to the Governor's Crime Commission of the Department of Crime Control and Public Safety. The Governor's Crime Commission shall make the reports available to the public. (2007‑494, s. 1.)

It would appear the major difference between NC’s law and the Arizona law is that -- in NC a person must first be placed under arrest and incarcerated. In Arizona, if a police officer has legally stopped a person, the police officer MUST inquire as to that person’s immigration status. Here in NC, the law requires police officers to inquire as to the immigration status of ALL people who have been arrested and charged with a felony OR an impaired driving offense.

I have to ask: Why is the Obama Regime persecuting Arizona and not North Carolina, as well.

Ok, allow me to ask this: Is it because North Carolina’s female governor is an Obama Democrat and the North Carolina State Legislature is controlled, solidly, by Obama’s Democratic Party? Surely, I don’t have to answer that question – do I? If I do, then we are in worse shape that I thought.

Of COURSE, the correct answer is the latter. The US-DOJ under Obama appears very selective about who and what it prosecutes.

It has become clear that if you are a democrat and if your race is that which appears to be “preferred” today by the Obama Regime -- you are going to get “special” treatment, or even a pass. That is why, in our opinion, North Carolina can get away with an anti-illegal alien law, very similar to that of Arizona, while Arizona is being persecuted by the Obama Regime. It is as horrible – and yet -- as simply as that.

North Carolina Supreme Court Justice Edward Thomas Brady, in an article in the Fayetteville Observer (HERE) entitled: “ Our Immigration Law Flies Under The Radar,” says the following: “The law serves two purposes. First, it serves to protect the United States against attacks from within by illegal immigrants who may be a part of a terrorist organization. By requiring the person in charge of the confinement facility to inquire as to the immigration statuses of all those incarcerated after being charged with a felony or impaired driving offense, there is an excellent chance that if the person is on a terror watch list or is suspected of being a terrorist, the incarceration and interrogation can continue in the federal system. Second, the law serves to advance the anti-illegal immigration laws that we have in the federal law books.”

Justice Brady goes on to say: “ … Arizona offered a helping hand to a federal agency that clearly is not performing at the level expected by the American citizenry. I’m glad to see that the Old North State is lending a hand, as well.”

So, how long until the Obama Administration comes down hard on North Carolina? As we implied above, no need to hold your breath, because it isn’t going to happen. That is, so long as we have a chief executive of the state in Obama’s pocket and a die-hard democrat legislature.

One thing is for sure. The “Silent Invasion” continues apace, with no end in sight, as the Democrats AND the Republicans continue to stall any effort by the federal government -- or the states -- to stem it. As a result the entire make-up of America is being changed right before our eyes – not just the racial demographics, but our national politics as well.

As the illegal alien’s numbers swell in the US so does the amount of money they cost the taxpayers each year. The US is already broke and this added burden is ensuring that it will be generations before the country is able to recover – if ever.

All this while we hear reports that the Obama Regime is actively looking for a way to grant them amnesty by presidential executive order -- rather than going through Congress where the people have, at least, a nominal say in whether or not amnesty is granted to those who have already broken our laws and are, in fact, criminals.

It is, indeed, a strange world we live in today. Indeed, it is a strange America we live in today, an America many of its oldest citizens do not recognize. And judging from the number of Americans who are angrier at their government than I have ever known Americans to be the vast majority don’t like it – and -- have no intention of allowing this ungodly “Transformation of America” to continue.

We must begin taking our country back in our townships, our precincts, our towns, our cities, our counties, our states, and finally our nation. And we must do it quickly before we lose even the constitutional right to assemble. If we wait, “the iron fist of the Obama Regime” will make every effort to smash us and neutralize every single voice raised in protest.

For my generation, this is NOT the Free America in which we grew up. No. The America of today resembles more the European socialist states than it does the free America of only two or three decades ago.

When the states that created the Federal government (to act as an agent of those states) are now cudgeled by their creation, is it not time to consider either controlling the monster they created, or suing in the courts for relief by being allowed to leave the union.

Drastic? Yes, it is. Ask any of my Confederate ancestors. They paid the price for leaving the union and creating their own country -- even though there was no prohibition in the Constitution forbidding them to do so.

Is it an idea whose time has come – again? Many Americans think it has. I, myself, feel we have a ways to go before such drastic steps are taken. We must exhaust all avenues of relief such as the ballot box – FIRST. My Confederate ancestors had been wrestling with the all-powerful federal government for many decades before that first artillery volley aimed at Fort Sumter was fired.

Our first opportunity to make a heavy impact on the federal government is coming this November in the Mid-Term Election. We must RUN to the polls and cast a vote against those who currently rule over us. We must make a clear statement, one that cannot be misunderstood. We must make them understand that Americans WILL live free… period!

Palestinian Authority officials say if Israel and the Palestinians fail to reach an agreement to create a Palestinian state, the Obama administration will support a resolution at the United Nations that would unilaterally recognize a Palestinian state (SOURCE).

In a report at World Net Daily, the following is reported: “Last year, Ahmed Qurei, former PA prime minister and member of the Palestine Liberation Organization executive committee, told WND in an interview that the PA "reached an understanding with important elements within the administration" to possibly bring to the U.N. Security Council a resolution to unilaterally create a Palestinian state. Asked to which "elements" he was referring, Qurei would only say they were from the Obama administration. (SOURCE).

All of this just confirms our worst fears about Obama and his Regime. He is, quite likely, the least prepared President to ever hold office.

You know, I used to wonder if Obama or, at the very least, someone within his regime had actually read the US Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. Now I add to that list of critically important documents nothing less than the Holy Bible. Obama is meddling in a situation that predates the United States of America by thousands of years. Much of the history, which leads up to the problems with Israel and their less than neighborly neighbors, is recorded in the pages of the Bible.

When one does a tiny bit of research, one finds that Israel has a claim to the Holy Land that dates back as far 3,700 years ago. They created a civilization on that terrain and developed a national language, which they have managed to maintain for at least 3,700 years.

Yes, they claim that land and they have a right to it. First, God promised the land to Abraham, then, the Jewish people moved onto to it and began to develop it and they made it their home. The world community saw it -- and recognized Israel as the home of the Jewish people and granted Israel recognition as a sovereign country ON THAT LAND.

So, how did Israel grow to the size it is today? As a result of wars that were perpetrated upon Israel by her mischievous neighbors. Israeli military forces captured the land Israel grew into as they attempted, successfully, to defend their homeland. Now, that land, too, is a part of the nation of Israel.

So what about the name Palestine? In the second century A.D., after crushing the last Jewish revolt, the Romans first applied the name “Palaestina” to Judea. Judea was the southern portion of what we now call the West Bank. It was an attempt, by the Romans, to isolate Jewish identification from the land of Israel.

There was never an independent Arab or Palestinian state in Palestine. It never existed, in all of history. In fact, when the Arab-American historian, Princeton University Prof. Philip Hitti, testified against partition before the Anglo-American Committee in 1946, he said: "There is no such thing as 'Palestine' in history, absolutely not." In fact, Palestine is never explicitly mentioned in the Koran, rather it is called "the holy land.”

Going back to 1937 we learn that “a local Arab leader, Auni Bey Abdul-Hadi, told the Peel Commission, which ultimately suggested the partition of Palestine: "There is no such country [as Palestine]! 'Palestine' is a term the Zionists invented! There is no Palestine in the Bible. Our country was for centuries part of Syria." (SOURCE)

Until, roughly, 1967 the Arabs referred to that piece of ground as “southern Syria. “The representative of the Arab Higher Committee to the United Nations submitted a statement to the General Assembly in May 1947 that said, "Palestine was part of the Province of Syria" and that, "politically, the Arabs of Palestine were not independent in the sense of forming a separate political entity." A few years later, Ahmed Shuqeiri, later the chairman of the PLO, told the Security Council: "It is common knowledge that Palestine is nothing but southern Syria." (SOURCE)

One must consider God’s promise to Abraham, the creation of a Jewish homeland with Jewish settlements upon the land as far back as 3,700 years ago -- up to today. Then, one must consider so much more including the Balfour Declaration of 1917; the League of Nations Mandate, which incorporated the Balfour Declaration; the United Nations partition resolution of 1947; and Israel's admission to the UN in 1949. And, finally, add to all of the above the recognition of Israel as a sovereign nation by most of the country’s of the world. I suspect the Israeli Jews would ask that an observer also note their thriving society.

Now, when you consider all of the above, you must ask yourself why anyone would want the people of Israel to give up their ancestral homeland, the land God gave them, to the people of a country that never, in all of history, EVER existed.

Remember, too, that these people, of a fantasy country, want nothing more than to push the Jews off their land and into the sea -- wiping them out of existence.

THAT is where Obama’s policy toward Israel and the so-called Palestinian people will lead.

When all of this is considered -- aren’t we justified in asking if Obama’s ties to the Muslim world are so strong that he has adopted their cause as his -- and pushing the Jews of Israel into the Mediterranean Sea is the desired result for both the so-called Palestinians – and -- for the Obama Regime?

Allow me to express my feelings about the so-called sanctuary cities as clearly and succinctly as I possibly can. I don’t like them. I don’t like the idea of them and I really don’t like that my tax money, and yours, is going to those cities – at all!

The average American, I believe, would be surprised to learn that such cities actually exist today in the United States. They would be even more surprised, I contend, and possibly enraged if they were suddenly made aware that US taxpayer dollars are still flowing into those cities even as those “sanctuary cities” assume an “in your face” refusal to obey the laws of the US.

So – what are sanctuary cities? “Sanctuary City” is a term given to a city in the United States that follows certain practices that protect illegal immigrants. These practices can be by law (de jure) or they can be by habit (de facto). The term generally applies to cities that do not allow municipal funds or resources to be used to enforce federal immigration laws, usually by not allowing police or municipal employees to inquire about one's immigration status. Here in North Carolina we have, at last count, six sanctury cities and one sancutary county. I’d bet you have sanctuary cities and/or counties in your state as well. For a state by state listing of sanctury cities and counties go HERE.

A few days a go, President Obama and US Attorney General Holder sued to overturn Arizona's new immigration law, on the grounds that it could lead to a patchwork of state immigration rules. The Arizona law, which will go into effect on July 29 -- unless the courts blocks it -- requires authorities to inquire about the legal status of any detained person they have reasonable suspicion might be in the US illegally. The Arizona law was amended to prohibit using race or ethnicity as a reason for suspicion. (Read more on this HERE.)

But the US President and his cohort, the US Attorney General, realize the Democratic Party will need the combined hispanic and black vote this coming November to have any chance of maintaining their control of the Congress. They are bound and determined to make a “show” of dragging the people of the state of Arizone through the courts. Surely, they must know the Arizona law has an extremely good chance of surviving a test by the US Supreme Court. I contend that they do.

If the Obama Regime was serious about their attack on Arizona, they would be suing every sanctuary city, county, and state in the country -- and the democrats who control the nations purse strings would be cutting-off all federal funding, of any kind, going to the people of those city, county and state governments. But they aren’t – and there is the answer.

What you are seeing here, dear reader, is the Democratic Party’s practice of “Plantatioin Politics” at its finest.

In an article titled: “OBAMA AND PLANTATION POLITICS,” by Frances Rice, published at “BLACK REPUBLICAN: National Black Republican Association E-News” (HERE) Ms. Price writes: “To his eternal shame, in order to acquire and maintain power, President Barack Obama has adopted the Democratic Party's strategy of keeping blacks poor, angry and voting for Democrats.

Using the politics of poverty and race baiting, Obama garnered nearly 96 percent of the black vote that helped propel him to the pinnacle of power. That power is now being used by Obama to accomplish his liberal agenda, which includes wrecking our economy and weakening our national defense, leaving us vulnerable to another terrorist attack.”

Ms. Prices goes on to say the following: “While professing to care about the plight of the poor, Obama continues to take actions that keep blacks impoverished, so he can use black grievances for partisan political gain. In his book "Dreams From My Father", Obama wrote disdainfully about blacks who complain about being poor, yet continue to vote for Democrats — like Obama — who keep them poor. On page 147 of his book, Obama described what he and his fellow Democrats do to poor blacks as "plantation politics" when he wrote: "A plantation. Black people in the worst jobs. The worst housing. Police brutality rampant. But when the so-called black committeemen came around election time, we'd all line up and vote the straight Democratic ticket. Sell our soul for a Christmas turkey." The Obama Regime’s attack on Arizona, while ignoring all the sanctuary cities is a charade – nothing more. Obama is putting up a good front for the benefit of the Black and Hispanic vote.
Look, for the Obama Regime to say that their administration will NOT go after the sanctuary cities because they do not interfere with the US government and that they WILL go after Arizona because it does -- is pure double speak designed to placate the US minorities of the Black and Hispanic persuasion. Down on the farm we have another word (or two) for it, but as this is a family site we won’t use them here. However, the initials are B. S.)

I cannot speak for the Blacks and Hispanics in America, but I know this: If I were one of them I’d be deeply insulted by all the posturing, and all the lies, and all the condescension coming from the democrats and the Obama Regime. There is one thing for sure though: Your votes cannot be bought – if they are not for sale.

And finally, I’m just an old country boy, but It seems to me that voting for anyone because his/her skin is black is just as racist as voting against someone because his/her skin is black. I would ask only that you consider the above carefully because, if all goes as planned, I feel certain we will have that choice again in November of 2012.

Ok, so I AM just an old country boy. But it seems to me that the fist step in national security, securing the country from those who would do us harm, is keeping them OUT of the country in the first place! That means securing the borders of our nation. If we don’t we won’t have a nation much longer.

We have often said the borders of the US could be secured, almost overnight, IF the government wanted to do so. But they don’t. The evidence is right before our eyes. That evidence? The borders aren’t secured!

Look, the US secures OTHER countries’ border overseas. Take Korea for example. Now we learn that the US government has agreed to assist Saudi Arabia in defending it’s border with Yemen! (SOURCE) For decades we protected West Germany’s border with East Germany, etc.

If federal law forbids the placement of US troops on the US borders, then we need to make the changes necessary to do just that.

Understand this: When I say US troops on the border, I mean armed combat-trained soldiers with the authority to use deadly force to protect US citizens from those illegally crossing into the United States.

I know that will not sit well with many of the readers of this piece, but the fact is, the people of the US are in serious danger from terrorists crossing our borders intent on doing as much damage, and taking as many American lives as they possible can -- even at the cost of their own lives.

God bless the state of Arizona for demonstrating the intestinal fortitude to go head to head with the federal government and pass a state law authorizing their own police to do the job our poor excuse for a federal government simply will not do. I feel sure Arizona will prevail at the Supreme Court. If they do, many other states will follow suit.

Politics is behind the Obama Regime and the Democratic Party dragging their feet on border security.

When you break it down it is simple to see. The Democratic Party has adopted so much of the socialist platform the American people are turning their backs on them in droves. Their only hope of winning elections in the future is with their base. They need, desperately, to grow that base.

The fastest growing portion of the base of voters for the Obama Regime and the Democratic Party is the African-American/Hispanic block of voters. With an unsecured southern border, the Obama Regime and the Democratic Party are holding the door wide-open for more Hispanics to cross, illegally, into America -- and eventually become democratic voters.

If we EVER hope to secure the borders of America, we must show the democrats the door and oust as many as we possible can in the Mid-Term Election this coming November -- and again in November of 2012. We must break their grip on power in the United States government.

WE saw this coming years ago and warned that if Obama was elected he and the Socialist/Democrats would make a strong effort to take over the Internet

Well, recently, a US. Senate Panel approved an Internet “Kill Switch” for Obama. The so-called “kill switch” gives the President the power to “turn off the Internet.”

A sponsor of the bill was heard to say that the ChiCom (Chinese Communist) had that power in their country, and he felt the US government needed that same power, as well.

It seems to have, somehow, escaped the notice of those who pushed this abomination of a bill through the senate panel that China is a communist nation. A dictatorship.

Oh, you are going to love the title of this bill. It is: “Protecting Cyberspace as a National Asset Act.” Don’t you just love the way the socilaists in our Congress wrap themselves in red, white, and blue while they push harder and harder, every day, to take our hard won freedom away?

Look, this is serous stuff. The Internet is the most powerful weapon Americans can use to thwart the agenda of the Socialists in the US government. They KNOW THAT and they are determined to either bring it under their control – or – shut it down inside the United States. The voice of desent cannot be allowed in an Obama Regime!

There is, at this moment, a two pronged attack on the Internet by the Obama Regime. The Federal Communications Commison is stacked with Obama supporters and the socialist/democrats in the Congress. They, too, are handmaidens of the Obama Regime in silencing the voices of those who speak out against Obama’s socialist agenda.

In a piece I wrote, just a few days ago entitled: “Obama’s Assault On The INTERNET Has Begun” (HERE.) I wrote the following: “The courts told the FCC this week to “stand back,” and keep their hands off the Internet. But, do not think, for one second, they are about to allow a little thing like the law to get in the way of a take over of the Internet -- not for one second. Already, they are looking at regulating the Internet as a public utility.

Look, we warned and warned and warned that Obama’s Marxist buddies in the FCC and the Congress would come after free speech on the Internet. Well, here they come!

Socialist/Marxist/Progressive Congresspersons, and Senators, are scrambling to get in line to fulfill Obama’s wish to control the Internet and the free speech on it.

They can see the Mid-Term Election looming on the distant horizon of November and they know they have limited time to strangle free speech on the Internet with their Marxist chains.

Think I’m blowing smoke? Think again. They are vowing to do whatever is necessary to see that the Federal Communications Commission is handed control over providers of Internet services.”

Now, only a few days later, comes the move by Obama’s minions in the Senate to grant him control over the Internet by presenting him with a so-called “Kill Switch.”

Look, control of the Internet, with a Kill Switch, is just another grasp for power by the Obama Regime and the socialist/democrats in Congress. Sure, they claim it is only for use in wartime.

Riiiiight!

It is supposed to save the Internet from an enemy’s cyber attack.

Those who spend much time on the Internet know that cyber attacks are a frequent thing on the Internet -- whether we are at war, or not.

The Internet has its own way of dealing with these attacks. Government intervention is not needed -- nor is it welcome.

Consider this: a single security system is much easier to defeat than a hodge - podge of hundreds, even thousands, of private sector security systems built by private sector companies, or individuals, to defend their interests on the Internet.

There is only one reason for Obama to have a Kill Switch for the Internet. That is for control of the citizens of America. Parse it any way you like, that is the bottom line.

According to an article at Fox Nation (HERE.), that is what Arizona Senator Jon Kyle reported to an audience at a town Hall meeting where he spoke. The article goes on to say that Senator Kyl told the audience, at a tea party meeting, that the President, himself, told Kyl, in a face-to-face meeting in the Oval Office the he (Obama) feared the GOP would not support his “Comprehensive Immigration Reform” bill (Otherwise known as the Amnesty for illegal Aliens bill) bill if he secured the borders first.

According to Fox Nation, Kyl reported the President said: “The problem is, if we secure the border, then you all won't have any reason to support comprehensive immigration reform." Then Kyl went on to say: “In other words, they're holding it hostage." The report says there was an audible gasp from those present at the meeting when Kyl reported this bit of news.

Soon after Kyl’s remarks were made public, the White House denied the President had made such a statement. But Kyl’s office is standing by what the Senator said.

Kyl also says the President made it clear to him that the promise of those National Guard troops he promised to send to the southern border was a political tactic on his part, (The President) to help assure the passage of Obama’s comprehensive immigration Reform – AKA Amnesty for Illegal Aliens.

None of this should surprise anyone. This type of thuggery, and political blackmail, has become a hallmark of the Obama Regime. As we pointed out some months ago, the Obama regime is set-up to operate as a “political mafia” organizations taking their cues from the gang bosses of the early crime families in Chicago.

Well, the republicans had their Nixon, and now the democrats have their Obama and, as far as I can tell, there isn’t a dime’s worth of difference between the two presidential administrations.

If you recalled we warned you early on that the democrats would not be able to contain themselves and the lust for power. We warned often to expect the democrats to “overreach.” They do it every time they game the upper hand in the nation’s legislature and/or the White House. All one has to do is just observe the democratic leadership in the US House of Representatives, and in the US Senate and, of course, in the White House.

The Mainstream Media is playing right along as the
lead propagandists of the Obama Regime in an attempt to keep the US citizens distracted with all the many and varied crises sucking up all the ink from their publications and all the air time from their broadcasts.

And… to make matters even worse for those of us who oppose Amnesty, there has been a huge disconnect between the citizens of America and their representatives in the US House of Representatives and the US Senate. I must tell you, however, I now have doubts about that “disconnect.” I have come to believe that more than a “disconnect” it is a “deliberate distancing” of our national legislators from their constituents -- especially for those that follow in Obama’s footsteps and subscribe to his socialist dogma.

Well, We have said all along the problem with illegal immigration across our southern border could be fixed, almost immediately, if the government wanted it fixed. Now we know for certain that they do not want the southern border sealed. See, those are democratic voters coming across that invisible line headed north into the land of milk and honey and -- along side them on their northward trek -- is cheap labor!

As you can see with this latest revelation by Arizona’s Senator Kyl, the American people are at an impasse with their government.

So, what so we Americans do with a government that refuses to enforce America’s laws? The answer? Throw them out of office this November.

The Founders of America intended this country to be administered by a government that governed with “the consent of the people.” Clearly that is less and less the case as each recent election has shown.

It is time for Americans to reclaim their right to a government that responds to the wishes of the people by tossing out those who refuse. Their replacements would be well advised not to unpack their luggage to quickly upon their arrival in Washington, DC.

Maybe it is just my natural paranoia at work, but I get the gnawing feeling that somewhere, in a dark corner of the Obama Regime, there is a huddle of “Obamanites” in a whispered discussion in which they examine the possibility of a takeover of the press in the US.

I know, I know. It’s just another conspiracy theory, right? Could be. On the other hand, it IS what a socialist government does -- and make no mistake about it -- the United States is now a socialist state run by a socialist government… at least until November.

Look, bailing out the newspapers is the same as throwing money down a rat hole. What the papers need to survive is readers – subscribers. The are losing readers and subscribers, in droves, because their readers have finally caught on to what can only be described as the mainstream media’s “leftist agenda.” The bottom line is – readers don’t like it and are no longer reading those “leftist rags.”

If the Government does, indeed, devise some way to bail out the major newspapers in America, two things are certain: One – neither the government nor the newspapers will ever refer to it as a “bailout.” Number two -- the government will “own” those newspapers and the government will control what is printed or not printed in them. For a model of how this would work simply check the old Soviet Union.

In the area of North Carolina in which I live there are three daily newspapers. Major newspaper corporations own two of them and one is an independent. All three are leftist papers. If I want to reads balanced news or news with a conservative viewpoint, I must either watch Fox News on TV, or get on the internet and look go to a conservative news site to get it. And that is exactly what those who used to be readers and subscribers of these papers are doing. But the owners and editors of those papers have their heads so far up the leftist agenda they are tone deaf to the oh, so obvious, reason for this vast migration away from their publications!

It is a sad commentary on the mainstream media in the US when Americans find it necessary to use the Internet to go off-shore to find a source of news that will inform us as to what is REALLY happening in our country, and in, what I laughingly refer to as, “our government.” But millions of Americans are doing just that. I am among them.

It is almost a ritual, at my house, to read the paper over morning coffee or breakfast. But, hey, we can do without it. By the time my carrier gets the daily paper to me these days, I have already read the news on the Internet. Such is the era in which we live.

There is already far too much government interference and just plain meddling in the affairs of business in this country. That is the nature of a socialist government such as we have in America today. Call it what you will, journalism protection, bail-outs for newspapers, it still means the government is curling its fingers around the throats of those who own those news organizations and soon they will begin to squeeze. Taking government money means you do as government says.

Those in the Obama Regime who believe that a government should never allow a crisis to go to waste are busy taking advantage of the current financial crisis in America, and around the world, to shove their socialist agenda down the throats of businesses forcing them to accept government control in exchange for a few more months, or years, of existence.

In my opinion those are Faustian deals… selling one’s soul to the devil in exchange for favors from the devil -- even if those favors are just crumbs from his table. Some make the Faustian deals because they believe in the devil’s agenda. Thus it has always been throughout man’s history on this planet.

Look, newspapers are the modern day dinosaurs of the news media. Eventually they will go the way of the dinosaurs. They will become extinct. It is not advisable to interfere with the natural cycle of progress, even in business -- one could say -- ESPECIALLY in business. As the newspapers die off they will make room for whatever is to take their place.

Having no newspaper to peruse over breakfast is much more acceptable than having a newspaper of which the government is the editor. I shudder to even think of it.

Any government bailout of the press, in any form, simply means no more free press.

A government, which controls the flow of information to its citizens, will have ultimate power over those citizens. Under the Obama Regime, America is heading in that direction as directly as a Martin flies to its gourd.

Even a casual observer of the Obama Administration would answer the question asked in the title of this piece with a resounding “YES!” I mean, you can FEEL the electricity in the air when you mention the possibility of Obama nationalizing the US oil industry in the presence of democrats/secular socialists. I suspect, when out of public view, they are rubbing their hands together and doing a little jig of happiness at the very thought!

But, hold the phone! According to a recent poll, by Rasmussen, 65% of Americans say “HANDS OFF the US Oil Industry!” That same poll reveals that only 16% think it would be a good idea for the government to nationalize all the oil companies and run them on a non-profit basis. Twenty percent (20%) are undecided. (I am ALWAYS AMAZED AT THE PERCENTAGE OF “UNDECIDEDS” IN ANY POLL! Then, I suppose -- that is just me.)

One of the things we find amazing about this poll -- there has been a two percent drop in those favoring nationalization of the oil industry in just two years. In June of 2008, 29% favored nationalization of the oil industry and only 47% were opposed.

Some democrats/socialists are openly calling for the Obama Regime to take over the oil industry. In keeping with their “never allow a crisis to be wasted,” I should think the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico would fall within that category.

Socialism in the United States has gone from “creeping” to a full “gallop!” Even some democrat commentators are asking publicly why the President doesn’t simply nationalize the oil industry and get the clean up of the oil spill done -- for the people, of course.

Frankly, I don’t think the government has a clue how to clean up that spill -- and they know it! Plus, the government does not currently have the equipment or the expertise required to plug a gushing oil pipe located a mile below the surface of the Gulf of Mexico.

As far back as June of 2008 Rep. Maurice Hinchey, D-N.Y., joined the ranks of those threatening to nationalize the oil companies. He is reported to have said: "We (the government) should own the refineries. Then we can control how much gets out into the market." (SOURCE).

Oh, I don’t think there is room for any doubt the democrats/socialists would nationalize the US Oil companies, and the American divisions of foreign oil companies, in a heartbeat if this were not an election year and they were not already in deep doo-doo.

It is time for America to understand that America now has a socialist government running things in Washington, DC. All one has to do is look around and consider the debris of what used to be a constitutional, representative, republic… in other words… a free country! That ended January 20th, 2009.

If the American electorate is unsuccessful in rescuing America from the clutches of the Marxists in charge of our government, in the Mid-Term Election this coming November, we will have far more to worry about than whether or not Obama nationalizes the oil companies.

From now until election day in November expect to be bombarded by propaganda in the press, by direct mail, by phone, by e-mail, even door to door propagandists working out of local democrat/socialist precinct offices spreading the gospel, the “Good News of Socialism,” Obama style!

Eventually the Gulf Oil Spill will be but an unpleasant memory. When memory does dredge it up, remember who stopped the oil from gushing from that broken pipe one mile deep in the ocean. It wasn’t Obama’s socialist government. No. Remember, they stood by, looking on and making comments, holding press conferences, and photo ops, much as the so-called “sidewalk supervisors” of by-gone days. What America saw was: socialist mediocrity, not American Exceptionalism, from the Obama Regime. And – it will only get worse until America is rescued from the democrat/socialist strangle hold.

We can do that -- NO – we MUST do that in November!

In logic and rhetoric, a fallacy is a misconception resulting from incorrect reasoning in argumentation.

You know, we claim, here in America, that our government is made up of “we the people.” In the past year and a half, or so, of the Obama Regime, we have learned that is false. Oh, it may have been true to varying degrees, in decades past, but no more. Now the government is made up of socialists and Marxists hell-bent on enslaving “we the people” of America.

When the democrat/socialists took power in 2006, they laid low for the next couple of years in hopes of electing a president from their party, which ultimately, they did.

During those nearly two years they were busy as a one-armed man at a paper hanging contest formulating new laws they intended to pass when they had a veto proof Congress and a President, in place, to sign those bills into law. How else do you explain the near instantaneous appearance in the House and the Senate of “new” bills, which were hundreds, even thousands, of pages thick. You do not prepare such documents overnight.

They had been planning the hi-jacking of America. To a great extent, they have been surprisingly successful. It took the American electorate three years to figure out they had been blind-sided by a socialist/marxist plot to take the US from a constitutional republic to a socialist/marxist dung heap.

Conservatives have been fighting around the clock, during those three years, to prop up a reluctant Republican Party and attempt to instill a little steel in their spines and force them to fight, to block, to box-in, to obfuscate, to do whatever they legally could to de-rail the socialist/marxist scheme to drag America down to the mediocre level of many of the European and third world countries on the globe. You see, we conservatives knew, all along, that the so-called democrats did not believe in “American Exceptionalism.” They are ashamed that America is a “super power.” In their minds it is “unfair” for America to be better than other countries. It is the “Social Justice” thing -- you know, Socialism, Marxism, and yes, Communism!

You see, dear reader, when you look at America today understand that THIS is what ignorance and apathy can do to a great country, even a super power.

The most efficient tool the socialist had going for them was political correctness. It demanded so-called “social Justice” by changing the meaning of perfectly good words and phrases and raining down on us pure leftist propaganda such as the global warming hoax. They have even changed “illegal alien” to “undocumented immigrant!” Of course, it is pure bunk, but when our children are indoctrinated in the government school system, they buy into this propaganda because people in authority are soaking their little brains in a bath of their leftist garbage.

As an aside: We desperately need and independent educational system in America. One that accepts not one single dollar of government money and brooks no government interference and NO teacher’s unions allowed. Then, and only then, can we expect to have our children actually gain an education on a par with young scholars in rest of the world. Today, our American students are the recognized dunces of the world. Many are dumb as a fence post and graduate high school unable to read their diplomas.

Americans have a single shot at saving what is left of this once great country: The Mid-Term Election this coming November. To save America we must turn out in droves and vote for the conservative candidates. Already the socialists are mustering their troops to deny us that victory by force of numbers. They intend to flood the polling places with the voters who traditionally vote in blocks for democrat/socialist candidates. For the most part they are the Americans who depend upon the dole of the federal government for their continued existence. They are the “wards of the government” and they will do Obama’s bidding, and Obama is counting on them to save his party in November.

Finally, in my opinion, the Tea Party is going to have to suck it up and begin endorsing candidates for the election in November. Otherwise, what’s the point? I believe it is time for the Tea Party to put their accumulated power to good use in rescuing America from the clutches of the socialist/marxists now in power.

The people who have hi-jacked America have a lot for which they will be called to account. Thousands of years ago a prophet, by the name of Isaiah, said: “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!” (Isaiah 5:20-21) The Obama Regime would do well to harken to the words of this ancient prophet.

Our socialist overlords can deny their socialism as much as they like, but as Jesus, Himself, said: “Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?” (Matthew 7:16) If history has taught us anything, it is that the fruit of the socialist/marxist tree is the fruit of a poison tree. It can, and will, poison a nation -- even unto death. In olden days the ancients upon locating a tree with bad fruit, would hew it down and destroy it to save their orchard. It is time to exercise our horticultural husbandry skills and do a little “hewing” at the ballot box in November

America’s new Socialist Congress is flexing its Stalinist muscles and scooping up the leadership of a number of America’s business giants and forcing them to Washington to an inquisition, which is designed to do two things. One: To make an example of these chosen corporations -- and two: To put the fear of God -- well, allow me rephrase that – to put the fear of the new Soviet-style socialist government into all Americans. The message is: keep your mouth shut and do not question the Obama Regime’s socialist machinations or those of the socialist/democrat congress.

There is a funny; sort of bittersweet, story, which demonstrates what our new socialist Congress, and the Obama Regime, is doing in America today. It is said that once, in the old Soviet Socialist Russia, the Chairman was delivering a speech in Red Square. He was expounding upon the benefits of socialism and how all the soviet peoples were benefiting from it and how even more benefits were in the pipeline to make the lives better for the proletariat.

The Chairman was really getting “into” his speech and had become wound-up in his zeal and began ticking off the many things that the socialist system would provide for “the workers.” At one point the Chairmen said: “Every single soviet family will have a washing machine! If you don’t have a washing machine, let me know, and it will be taken care of!”

A hand shot up near the back of the crowd, The Chairman stopped his rant and pointing to the man with his hand up said: “Yes? What is your name?”

The man answered: “Ivan.”

The Chairman said: “Please continue, Ivan.”

Ivan said: “I have no washing machine.”

The Chairman blustering said: “Why, this is unforgivable.“ Turning to one of his aids he instructed him to take that man’s name so this situation could be rectified.

The next week there was another speech in Red Square and the Chairman was holding forth with the benefits of socialism to the soviet peoples when a hand, near the back of the crowd, shot up. The chairman stopped and pointed to the would be questioner and said, “Yes, what is your question?” Whereupon the man asked: ”Where is Ivan?”

Back in the 1960s it was said this story originated in the Soviet Union, itself. In any event, it is told to demonstrate just how easily such problems are handled when you have a strong central government such as that of the old Socialist Soviet Union, and the one just coming on-line in America today.

The hearings in Washington are being called an “Inquisition” and even a “Show Trial” much as those show trials once held in the “Soviet Union.” Some commentators have said these hearings are the first of the democrats’ “Death Panels.”

Whatever they are, in my opinion, they are right out of the old Socialist Soviet Union’s playbook and Joe Stalin would have been ever so proud!

None of this was unexpected… at least by those of us who have made even a cursory study of world history. I have said often in the past that we have seen this all before – and we have. Back in the 1950s the US Army trained me and my fellow US Army grunts to go to war against socialism and defeat it because it was, in those days, recognized for what it is, the “Killer of Nations.”

It was also understood that socialism was the precursor to full-fledged communism.

As I watched the Obama presidential campaign and it became ever clearer, as the days passed, that he was a full-fledged socialist and, quite likely, a Marxist, as well. We have known for some time that the Democratic Party, long ago, adopted the platform of the Socialist Party. The democrats then claimed it as their own platform. It was clear that if Obama was elected his “socialist assets” were already in place in the US Congress. America was poised for a complete socialist take-over of the entire US Government.

Well, you kow how it played out and the socialist take-over of the US government is now a fait accompli. If even a smidgen of doubt remains, all you have to do is observe the way Obama governs and the way the democrats in Congress govern… I mean with Executive Orders and Czars, plus threats, bribes, show-trials, inquisitions, and out and out thuggery. These are Stalinist Tactics, plain and simple, and they are very effective in bringing a frightened people to heel. It is also extremely effective in manipulating the masses of people, who are “wards of the government,” who depend upon the “government dole” for their continued existence. The New American Socialism as practiced by Obama and the socialist/democrats in the Congress can certainly count on their support no matter how Machiavellian -- no matter how Stalinist -- their behavior becomes.

As I continue to observe socialism at work in Washington, I have concluded the Mainstream Media in America is already government controlled. How else can one explain their total subjection to the New Socialism in Washington? They have completely tossed a side their primary duty, which is to act as a watchdog for the American people, keeping a close eye on the US government and reporting honestly, accurately, and fairly on what that government is doing. Now they print and broadcast “The Party Line” not unlike the press of the old Socialist Soviet Union.

The American people quickly caught on and turned to the “citizen journalists” who have taken to the World Wide Web to report the truth to their fellow citizens instantaneously no matter where in the world they happen to be. The citizen journalist must be brought to heel, because they present a definite threat to the Obama Regime and the New Socialist Government in America.

How long, I wonder, before the knocks on the door at 3 AM. How long before Obama’s secret agents begin to escort dissidents to Washington, to answer some questions about exactly what we meant when we published such words in our commentaries, which are splashed all across the World Wide Web.

The opening salvo has been fired. The show trials and the inquisitions have only just begun. Freedom and liberty cannot co-exist with socialism, Marxism, and communism. Being just a little bit socialist is much like being a little bit pregnant.

The Mid Term Elections in November will decide America’s fate. Either we toss out as many socialists as we possibly can, or we seal our fate as a socialist/communist nation. America cannot be a little bit socialist.

Long before the Progressives got hold of our Public Education system in the United States, educators used to actually teach history. Those days, however, are long, long, gone.

Knowledge of one’s history is integral to the character of a person, of a people and of a nation. History is OUR story. It is the record of our victories and our failures. It tells us where we have been and tells us how we got here. It forms the basic foundation for any plans we formulate for where we intend to go in our collective future. History is vital.

For history to yield a true course into the future it is absolutely necessary that the records be absolutely complete. That means history should always tell the whole story -- the good, the bad, and the ugly -- ALL of it. The records should always include those events of which we are justly proud and justly ashamed. For without the entire record, studying our history would be akin to reading a newspaper from which articles of critical importance have been cut out and discarded.

A scholar attempting to study our history would never get the entire story, the entire record, and any decisions made, or actions taken, based on his study of recorded history would, of necessity, be flawed. But the scholar would never know those decisions and actions were indeed, flawed, because his own studies were, to put it mildly, incomplete.

Insufficient knowledge often referred to (commonly) as ignorance, has been the root cause of the downfall of many nations. And it now appears it has become the root cause of the downfall of The United States of America.

Today, America faces one of its worst crises ever. A Constitutional Crisis looms on America’s horizon as the current government seeks to expand its powers into areas where it has no constitutional authority. The Democrat’s healthcare plan, referred to as “ObamaCare,” crosses the constitutional lines and into legislative territory held sacrosanct, by the constitution, for the states and/or the people… not the federal government.

Nullification laws used by the southern states prior to the American Civil War to try to warn Congress they were “out of bounds” are being dusted off and returned to use by several states while a host of states are actively considering them. There is also a movement afoot to have all the states join together and nullify ObamaCare the moment it is signed into law by the President.

How did we come to this? National Ignorance. I contend that had it not been for ignorance of the constitution, ignorance of America’s collective history, ignorance of the history of western civilization, the current government of the US would not be in power today. There is simply no way, short of rebellion, for a leadership so bent on transforming America from a constitutional republic into a socialist/communist nation, to have ever come to power.

Americans are a “breed apart.” Unlike our European cousins we tend to abhor government intrusion and intervention in our lives. We fought a war against a world superpower when we were only 13 colonies stuck on the eastern seaboard of a vast mostly unknown, and certainly unconquered, continent, to break free from the shackles of a government which resembles, far too closely, the government we have today in our nation’s capital. It is a vital part of our story -- of our history.

But ignorance has taken a toll, a horrible toll, on America. A generation, or more, of Americans do not know who they are. They don’t know that Americans fought a war to free themselves from a tyrannical government like the one the Obama Regime and the democrats have crafted in Washington, DC, today. Too, they are ignorant of their rights, which were granted by God and the US Constitution. It is THIS ignorance that has brought America to the precipice to which she desperately clings today.

America’s current national leadership is only the tip of an iceberg. It is just the tip a movement that has been toiling, for nearly a century, behind the scenes to bring about this transformation of America into some sort of collectivist state, a socialist/communist state, if you will. If they are finally successful they will install an all powerful central government which will impose it’s will on every American at a whim. Representative government will be gone. “Consent of the Governed” will have no meaning, whatsoever. It will, effectively, re-impose slavery in America – and this time – we will ALL be slaves.

Even today the powerful Obama Regime has extended its tentacles into many, many, aspects of our lives. What is truly frightening, however, is this: If ObamaCare is passed into law; forging of the bonds that will enslave every American and tether us to the government, as slaves, forever will be complete.

The twisted scheme by which Democratic leaders plan to bend the rules to ram President Obama’s massive health care legislation through Congress now has a name: the Slaughter Solution.

The Slaughter Solution is a plan by Rep. Louise Slaughter (D-NY), the Democratic chair of the powerful House Rules Committee and a key ally of Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), to get the health care legislation through the House without an actual vote on the Senate-passed health care bill. You see, Democratic leaders currently lack the votes needed to pass the Senate health care bill through the House. Under Slaughter’s scheme, Democratic leaders will overcome this problem by simply “deeming” the Senate bill passed in the House - without an actual vote by members of the House.

An article in this morning’s edition of National Journal’s CongressDaily breaks the story, starting with the headline: “SLAUGHTER PREPS RULE TO AVOID DIRECT VOTE ON SENATE BILL.” You may read the entire article HERE.

National Journal’s Congress Daily says: "House Rules Chairwoman Louise Slaughter is prepping to help usher the healthcare overhaul through the House and potentially avoid a direct vote on the Senate overhaul bill, the chairwoman said Tuesday.

"Slaughter is weighing preparing a rule that would consider the Senate bill passed once the House approves a corrections bill that would make changes to the Senate version.

"Slaughter has not taken the plan to Speaker Pelosi as Democrats await CBO scores on the corrections bill. 'Once the CBO gives us the score, we'll spring right on it,' she said." Read the entire article HERE.

At the Washington Examiner they have an article titled: “House Democrats looking at 'Slaughter Solution' to pass Obamacare without a vote on Senate bill UPDATED!” In the article, the Washington Examiner asks the question: “Would House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her fellow House Democratic leaders try to cram the Senate version of Obamacare through the House without actually having a recorded vote on the bill?

Now, all of this happened a couple of days ago. But, I have to ask; just how low will the democrats stoop in order to ram this Socialized Medicine bill down the throats of the American people.

Now do you believe us? Now do you believe what we have been declaring for so long now? I mean, of course, our warnings that the Healthcare bill, ObamaCare, if you will, is NOT ABOUT HEALTHCARE? IT IS ALL ABOUT POWER! Yes! It is all about power for the Democrats, the Progressives, the Socialists, the Marxists, and the Communists that infest the White House and the Congress in America these days.

If America is to remain free, well, at least retain the few freedoms we haven’t already given away to a grasping federal government, we must, absolutely MUST, defeat the ObamaCare bill now floundering in the US House of Representatives.

My Congressman, Mike McIntyre, a democrat representing my US House District in North Carolina is sanding fast! He has consistently voted “no” on these outrageous healthcare bills. He is quoted into today’s Fayetteville Times as STILL standing pat with a great big “NO” vote. Larry Kissell, over in the neighboring US House district of North Carolina has also flatly stated that he will vote “NO” on the ObamaCare Bill -- and North Carolina Senator Burr stated he, too, will continue to vote “NO” on ObamaCare in the Senate.

As you can see by the Slaughter Solution, the cabal of democrats, Socialists, Progressives, Marxists, and Communists is bound and determined to grasp America by the throat and squeeze the freedom and liberties granted by the US Constitution to death. I mean, after all, they view the Constitution as an outdated list of suggestions that have outlived their usefulness and are, if anything, a roadblock, an impediment to their acquisition of absolute power over the people of America.

I read today a commentator who opined that republicans are telling Americans to be afraid. I have to tell you. If you are not afraid, in America today, then something is very wrong with you!

Americans ARE afraid – and they are angry! Need I remind the Socialists, Marxists, the Communists and the Progressives, there is nothing on the face of God’s green earth as dangerous as a P.O.ed American!

Even if we manage to kill ObamaCare aborning, the backlash has already begun. P.O.ed Americans are going to the polls this coming November on a mission. A mission to rid the halls of Congress of as many Socialists, Marxists, Progressives, Communists, AND DEMOCRATS as they possibly can.

We are fighting for our liberty these days. Most Americans, although slow to understand what was really happening with the Obama Regime’s assault on the constitution, have finally gotten hold to the truth and have awakened to the “clear and present danger” Obama and his minions present for freedom and liberty in America.

When Americans came to realize Obama had surrounded himself with Communists, Marxists, Progressives, and Socialists in the White House --, they were shaken to their core! Now, however, they are angry and they have vowed to take back their country.

We have a long and difficult summer ahead of us. The Democrats understand that the gig is up. They understand they have been caught red-handed and they also understand that their days are numbered in positions of power in the Congress and in the White House. So, between today, and Election Day in November, they will be trying every trick in the book to move their agenda forward. We, the conservative opposition, must be equally as cunning and as tireless in our efforts to block them at every turn, to hem them in, to box them in, and neutralize them until they can be voted out of office and our constitution and our country rendered safe once again.

In the meantime, we must not let up, one little bit, with our opposition to the socialized medicine bill referred to as ObamaCare. We absolutely must defeat it. The we must turn our attention to the “New Amnesty Bill” called The Comprehensive Immigration Bill, the intent of which is to provide a “pathway to citizenship” for those illegal aliens already in our country after having broken our laws and entered as a thief in the night, or burglars enter our homes. And then -- there is Cap and Trade -- a massive, massive, tax on energy for every American, man, woman, and child. Of course, there will be much, much, more.

America was sold a “bill of goods!” by the Obama Campaign. North Carolina bought that “bill of goods.” Today it is paying the price. North Carolina has the highest unemployment since the great depression at over eleven percent. Our sister state, South Carolina is in much the same condition. Both states have at least one “Progressive” senator. In South Carolina it is Lindsey Graham and in North Carolina is in Kay Hagen. Both must be called home and relieved of duty in the Senate as soon as possible. Barring that -- they must be made aware of the feelings of their constituents toward their behavior in lending “aid and comfort” to the Obama Regime and our “rogue” Congress. They must be brought in line and kept in line by public pressure until they can be relived at the ballot box.

Freedom isn’t free. One of the costs is “eternal vigilance.” We can never, not for one minute, take our eyes off the Congress and the White House.

If, as I suspect, our national economy goes from bad to worse, over the coming months, the struggle for complete and absolute power by the government over the people will heat up. We must resist. Somehow, someway we must not allow this great experiment, called America, to be
strangled by an All Powerful Central Government.

The former poet laureate of South Carolina, author James Dickey once defined a “Southern Gentleman” as “a man with a Bible in one hand and a cannonball in the other.” Well, as I like to think of myself as a Southern Gentleman, I have just served up my cannon ball, now -- I will offer my Bible. From the scriptures we glean this bit of everlasting wisdom:

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” – 2 Chronicles 7:14.

“For more than 80 years, radio and the recording industry have enjoyed a mutually beneficial relationship: free play for free promotion. And it works. It’s a relationship that has sustained businesses on both sides.

In fact, radio’s free promotion of artists translates to as much as $2.4 billion annually in music sales for record labels and artists. And this doesn’t even include the enormous revenues they receive from concerts and merchandising.

But the labels–like many businesses–are struggling in this economy. They have failed to adapt to the digital age, and find their business model is broken. And now they want to impose a fee called a performance tax on local radio stations to subsidize their losses.

A performance tax would threaten the local radio stations that communities depend on. It would financially hamstring stations, stifle new artists and harm the listening public who rely on free local radio.” … National Association of Broadcasters (You may read the entire story HERE.)

As a retired broadcaster with 30 years of experience in the business, I can tell you a “performance tax” would not just cripple many small market stations it would effectively put them out of business.

Broken down, what is meant by a “Performance Tax” is this: Each time a radio station plays a recording on the air, that station will be required to pay a fee (TAX!) to the recording label. (Some estimates say the amount in dollars would be 2 to 7 billion dollars a year! It should be noted that some estimates have the amount of free promotion for the record labels and recording artists, as a result of the radio stations playing their music, valued at 2.4 billion dollars a year!)

You can see, instantly, that many small market stations would, of necessity, stop playing music, of any kind, on the air. Thousands of stations across America would, almost overnight, become talk radio stations -- that is, if they chose to remain on the air. With the economy as it is, currently, in America, I think it is safe to say that many small market stations would simple “go dark”, go off the air, shut down, and send their licenses back to the FCC in Washington, DC. As it is, thousands of small market stations are holding on by the skin of their teeth. It won’t take much to persuade the owners to simple shut the station down and walk away.

Suppose Congress passes the Performance Tax. Where will all that money go, anyway? Well most of it will go “off-shore,” “overseas,” to a foreign country. It will not remain in America. Why? Well, there are four major record labels in America today. Three out of the four are foreign owned. The National Association of Broadcasters says: “The record labels would like for you to think this is all about compensating the artists, but in truth the record labels would get at least 50 percent of the proceeds from a tax on local radio.” (Read the entire story HERE. )

Here in America, there are some 235 million people who listen to radio every week. A performance tax would reduce, not just the amount of music you hear on you favorite radio station, it would reduce the number of stations. Among the hardest hit stations would be the minority-owned stations. Those station determined to remain on the air would, of a necessity, switch their formats from “music” to “talk.” They’d have to, or perish.

Now think about this: Local radio stations pump thousands of dollars a year, in public service, into their markets, even the small market stations. How do they do this? Simple. The National Association of Broadcasters reports: “Radio stations are major contributors to public service – generating $6 billion in public service annually, providing vital news and community information and free airtime to help local charities. If a tax were imposed, stations’ critical community service efforts could be reduced.”

There are well over 100,000 Americans employed in local radio stations in America. If the stations income is reduced they will be forced to reduce their work force. That means even more Americans out of work.

In the event you had not noticed, local radio is free to the listener. It was designed to be free to the listener. The rich and the poor BOTH receive cal radio at no cost. The broadcaster is required to perform a certain amount of public service to its coverage area and city of license free, as well. Records are kept and reports to the FCC are made, periodically, to ensure the broadcaster is fulfilling his duty to broadcast in the “public Interest.”

Your local broadcaster needs your help. There are currently two bills in congress that would slap, a performance tax on your favorite station -- H.R.848, sponsored by Democratic Congressman John Conyers (MI-14) and S.379, sponsored by Democratic Sen. Patrick Leahy (VT).

There have been resolutions against the Performance Tax introduced in both the Senate and the House in an attempt to assist your local radio station fight back. Both are known as “The Local Radio Freedom Act.” In the Senate, Sens. Blanche Lincoln (AR) and John Barrasso (WY) introduced S. Con. Res. 14, and in the House, Reps. Gene Green (TX-29) and Mike Conaway (TX-11) introduced H. Con. Res. 49.

Your members of Congress need to hear from you! Congress needs to hear you tell them to vote no on a Performance Tax for radio stations and to support the Local Radio Freedom Act.
