New Jersey, Poster Child of American Decline

Solutions come from understanding problems. As economies throughout the world remain near default and central banks continue easy money policies in hopes of spurring growth America's own financial strength continues to be in question.  Crumbling and bankrupted and near bankrupted cities and even states such as New Jersey occasionally even make the main stream news.

The issues still exists and one of the struggles we face is to reach younger people and get them to see and understand the causes of our decline and the opportunities to correct the problems we face.

This 2 minute video attempts to do  just that, delivering the message of the fundamental cause of New Jersey's decades long decline and how "Crowd Funding" can help return power of a free market and help us compete against our corrupted corporate banking system.   Solving a problem first takes understanding of it's cause. America can learn a lot about what not to do by studying New Jersey, America's Garden State, where the bloom came off the rose.

The age old concept of crowd funding is now empowered by the internet and new laws are making for spectacular results for businesses, performers a and communities.

If you like the video please share it with young people. Sharing history with a very poorly educated younger generation is critical to overcoming the massive ignorance in our country.

Feel free to contact me with your comments, other versions of the crowd funding opportunities and details of our decline will be coming.

There are several forms of crowd funding, we'll cover them all in our newsletter.

Clear thinking on mass killings and gun control is slowly emerging

Efforts to prevent future mass killings, like the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting where 20 children and six adults died last year, continue on Capitol Hill. These efforts, however, are symbolic, not substantive, and focus too much on guns, magazines and related firearms issues, instead of on what causes people to commit these horrible crimes. The key element in these shootings is the mental condition of the killers and what things fostered their desire to kill people, and that must be addressed.

Whatever Congress comes up with will certainly put the liberties and privacy rights of Americans at risk, as limits on 2nd Amendment rights and invasions of private medical information will necessarily be under consideration.

We will not reduce mass shootings by limiting what law abiding gun owners can purchase, since they won't use them to hurt other people. Vice President Joe Biden's insulting implication that people don't really "need" an AR-15, and just want one because of how it feels ignores a basic tenet of the nation that elected him: we have personal liberties here, and that's all the reason we need to buy any gun.

Similarly, a blanket denial of 2nd Amendment rights to those with any record of treatment by or consultation with mental health professionals is excessive.

There has been strong support for the idea that guns, high-capacity magazines, etc. are responsible for mass shootings and should be restricted or banned, but that support is waning. More important is that this truly misses the point, and basing policies on missed points is a prescription for failure.

And now there is more compelling evidence that banning or restricting guns or magazines won't work, and even will make things worse, and it comes from a group that has instant credibility on this issue: police officers.

In March, PoliceOne, which serves police officers across the nation and has more than 450,000 registered members, "conducted the most comprehensive survey ever of American law enforcement officers’ opinions on the topic gripping the nation's attention in recent weeks: gun control," so states the introduction to PoliceOne's report.

"More than 15,000 verified law enforcement professionals [70 percent of whom are field-level law enforcers who are face-to-face in the fight against violent crime on a daily basis] took part in the survey, which aimed to bring together the thoughts and opinions of the only professional group devoted to limiting and defeating gun violence as part of their sworn responsibility," the introduction noted, in discussing the nearly-thirty question survey.

Here are some of the takeaway points from that survey:
** Ninety-five percent said that a federal ban on manufacture and sale of ammunition magazines that hold more than 10 rounds would not reduce violent crime.
** Seventy-one percent said that a federal ban on the manufacture and sale of some semi-automatics would have no effect on reducing violent crime. And, more than 20 percent say any ban would actually have a negative effect on reducing violent crime.
** Roughly 85 percent said passing the White House’s currently proposed legislation would have zero or a negative effect on their safety.
** They cited things they felt would help prevent mass shootings: more permissive concealed carry policies for civilians, 28 percent; more aggressive institutionalization for mentally ill persons, 19 percent;
more armed guards/paid security personnel, 15 percent.
** Nearly 90 percent believe casualties would be decreased if armed citizens were present at the onset of an active-shooter incident.
** More than 80 percent support arming school teachers and administrators who willingly volunteer to train with firearms and carry one on the job.
** More than half of respondents feel increased punishment for obviously illegal gun sales could reduce gun violence.
** The officers were about evenly split on whether citizens should be required to complete a safety training class before being allowed to buy a gun.
** They believe that cultural/societal influences promote gun violence: violent movies and video games, 14 percent; early release and short sentencing for violent offenders, 14 percent; poor identification/treatment of mentally-ill individuals, 10 percent. However, 38 percent cited a decline in parenting and family values.

The majority plainly does not support the ideas being pushed by gun-control advocates favoring restrictions on weapons and magazines, and many feel those controls will negatively affect their ability to fight violent crime. They also support enforcing existing laws before passing new ones.

The mainstream media openly supports restrictions on personal liberty, at least where guns are concerned, and suppresses news of gun owners stopping crimes. Many of our elected public servants, who prefer an unarmed and therefore compliant populace, also support gun control.

But the majority of police surveyed overwhelmingly favor an armed citizenry, would like to see more guns in the hands of responsible people, and are skeptical of any greater restrictions placed on gun purchase, ownership, or accessibility.

Police officers patrolling America’s streets have a legitimate interest in making sure that we make decisions about guns that support their work and do not make things worse. With this survey, their voice has been heard, and they disagree with the current mania.

Perhaps it would be smart to listen to them.

One-World Government/Global Governance

One-World Government/Global Governance
Look What Obama Has Done Now!
Executive Order Number 12425
*****************************

Obama gives Interpol free hand in U.S.
You may read the entire article HERE.

Below is the text of the Executive Order amending EO 12425:

Home • Briefing Room • Presidential Actions • Executive Orders

The White House

Office of the Press Secretary

For Immediate Release December 17, 2009 Executive Order -- Amending Executive Order 12425

EXECUTIVE ORDER - - - - - - - AMENDING EXECUTIVE ORDER 12425 DESIGNATING INTERPOL AS A PUBLIC INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION ENTITLED TO ENJOY CERTAIN PRIVILEGES, EXEMPTIONS, AND IMMUNITIES

By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, including section 1 of the International Organizations Immunities Act (22 U.S.C. 288), and in order to extend the appropriate privileges, exemptions, and immunities to the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL), it is hereby ordered that Executive Order 12425 of June 16, 1983, as amended, is further amended by deleting from the first sentence the words "except those provided by Section 2(c), Section 3, Section 4, Section 5, and Section 6 of that Act" and the semicolon that immediately precedes them.

BARACK OBAMA

THE WHITE HOUSE, December 16, 2009.
**************************

Now, look at this:

Here's the text of 2(c), which this EO now has applying to INTERPOL:(c) Property and assets of international organizations, wherever located and by whomsoever held, shall be immune from search, unless such immunity be expressly waived, and from confiscation. The archives of international organizations shall be inviolable.

An INTERPOL branch in the US now cannot be searched, it's files are not subject to legal subpoena nor discovery. If any branch of government wants to keep documents out of the hands of the court system, just hand them over to INTERPOL until the smoke clears.

INTERPOL will now be able to maintain files on US citizens.

By this EO, Obama has conferred diplomatic immunity upon INTERPOL, exemption from being subject to search and seizure by law enforcement, exemption from US taxes, and immunity from FOIA requests, etc.

Obama just declared INTERPOL records immune from search and seizure -- "The archives of international organizations shall be inviolable."

Does INTERPOL have a file on Obama -- on his associations? EO 12425

Is there any doubt left that Obama's handlers are dead set on global governance with the US becoming just another "country" among the 190, or so, countries on the globe today?

Yes, I do mean Obama's Handlers! You don't REALLY think Obama is President, do you? REALLY???

You know, I used to laugh at the poor "schnooks" who subscribed to the conspiracy theory of a global cabal with the primary goal of bringing all countries on the planet together under the auspices of one single government... and THEY would run that government. But, I gotta tell ya... with the Obama Regime in power, it is beginning to look more and more, every day, like those poor "schnooks" were right and I am the dull blade in the drawer!

When I consider the amendment to EO 12425 I can see no other reason for such a maneuver.

By the way, I thought we had three co-equal branches of government in the US. It certainly seems these days there is only one and that is the Obama Regime run by ... who knows!

ObamaCare and Gun Control – All In The Same Package!

ObamaCare and Gun Control – All In The Same Package!
A Commentary by J. D. Longstreet
********************************************
So, you’re a hunter, a sportsman, or just a good citizen who has a firearm in your home for the protection of your family and, YES, even for the protection of your property, which you have worked so hard, all your life, to acquire.

The US Constitution says you have that right – RIGHT? Well, NOT SO FAST! It appears that “what we have here -- is a failure to communicate.” See, the Gungrabbers in the Obama Regime, don’t view the constitution the same AS YOU AND I. Nosiree! To them “The Constitution,” at it’s best, is only a suggestion. To you and me, it is THE LAW!

OK, before you go grabbing for your blood pressure pills and assuring “Elizabeth” that “This is the BIG ONE, honey….” lets dig a tad deeper, shall we?

Those of us who have watched ObamaCare develop, over the months and years, (Yeah, I DID say “YEARS”. Why, you didn’t REALLY believe that “thing” was written in the few days and weeks from Obama’s swearing in ceremony until it popped up in the hoppers in the US House and Senate – DID YOU? Surely not! Oh, no… work on ObamaCare began rather a long time ago. But that is a commentary for another time. Not today.)

As I was about to say, before I interrupted myself -- those of us who have watched ObamaCare develop, over the months and years, have not only noticed but we have cried out in dismay at the depths to which the government will be able to dip it’s hands into your business, into your/our daily lives and dictate to you and me just how we will be required to live our lives… if we want to have ObamaCare, that is. Of course, we can pay that hefty fine, (and possibly do a stretch in federal prison) until we change our minds and sign-up like the “good little socialists” we are expected to be. Oh, that part about “doing a stretch in federal prison” is not in the “would-be ObamaCare law” as far as I am able to determine. At least it is not in the bill – YET! But, you allow that lot in Congress to have an inch and they will snatch a mile! Who knows what might be in the bill the next time we look? Jeez, it gives me cold chills!

The good folks over at Gun Owners of America are deeply concerned about the proposed bill and would have you know a few things. They, along with a few million other gun owning Americans, are concerned over the possibility that ObamaCare could be used to ban guns for self defense in the home. As we continue to warn you – do not think it cannot happen because right here, in my state, it is happening among those who are employed by the state and happen to be obese or happen to be smokers. If they fall into either of those categories, or both, they will be hit with higher premiums than the other policyholders. Different you say? Not very, I reply. The principle is exactly the same. The state will be using their power to dictate to us how we live our lives.

In an article entitled: “ObamaCare Could Be Used to Ban Guns in Home Self Defense” they say the following: “in addition to an extensive list of statutorily mandated coverage, HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius would be empowered to “define and update the categories of treatments, items, and services...” within an insurance plan which would be covered in a policy constituting “required minimum health coverage.”

Gun Owners of America goes on to say: “It is nearly certain that coverage prescribed by the administration will, to control costs, exclude coverage for what it regards as excessively dangerous activities. And, given Sebelius’ well-established antipathy to the Second Amendment -- she vetoed concealed carry legislation as governor of Kansas -- we presume she will define these dangerous activities to include hunting and self-defense using a firearm. It is even possible that the Obama-prescribed policy could preclude reimbursement of any kind in a household which keeps a loaded firearm for self-defense.”

The GOA reminds us not to be surprised if ObamaCare creates a “back door gun ban” on any America who owns “dangerous firearms.”

In the article GOA says: “The ObamaCare bill already contains language that will punish Americans who engage in unhealthy behavior by allowing insurers to charge them higher insurance premiums. (What constitutes an unhealthy lifestyle is, of course, to be defined by legislators.)”

The GOA goes on to say: “All of this is in addition to something that GOA has been warning you about for several months … the certainty that minimum acceptable policies will dump your gun information into a federal database … a certainty that is reinforced by language in the summary providing for a study to “encourage increased meaningful use of electronic health records.”

Far fetched you say? Well consider this: “… the federal government has already denied more than 150,000 military veterans the right to own guns, without their being convicted of a crime or receiving any due process of law. They were denied because of medical information (such as PTSD) that the FBI later determined disqualified these veterans to own guns.”

And, the GOA reminds us: “failure to comply would subject the average family to $1,500 in fines -- and possibly more for a household with older teens. And, although a Schumer amendment purports to exempt Americans from prison sentences for non-purchase of an ObamaPolicy -- something which was never at issue -- it doesn’t prohibit them from being sent to prison for a year and fined an additional $25,000 under the Internal Revenue Code for non-payment of the initial fines.

You really NEED to read this articling full at the Gun Owners of America site. You will find this particular article HERE.

Yes, this IS scary stuff! But we have been trying for months now to get your attention, to get you to look beyond the fluff the Mainstream Media is plastering all over their print publications and their electronic publications/broadcasts.

It is time to write you Congresspersons and your Senators and tell them of your strong objections to the hand of government in your everyday life and most certainly with the government “fooling around” with the freedoms granted American citizens under the US Constitution.

ObamaCare must be stopped and we must do it in an aboveboard, legal, and honorable way. Stooping to the level of those who would strip our freedoms, as Americans, away from us is totally unacceptable.

Just because there appears to be a lull in the action on ObamaCare in Washington, is no reason for us to back off one iota.

Sun-Tsu, the great thinker, general, and author of the book entitled “The Art of War” said: “To fail to take the battle to the enemy when YOUR back is to the wall is to perish!” Now is the time for all Americans who love their country, and our republican form of government, to step forward and defend her.
