Educating the Democrats and the Far Left

Cross Posted from Wake up America

I am going to start with something Captain Ed points out about Think Progress and their deliberate attempt to rewrite history and mislead their readers with false allegations.

Today is the fourth anniversary of George Bush's speech on the USS Abraham Lincoln -- the one Democrats and anti-war activists call the "Mission Accomplished" speech. The crew of the carrier flew the banner because their mission had indeed been accomplished -- they had successfully supported the invasion of Iraq and the fall of Saddam Hussein's government, and were returning to the United States. Instead, everyone has attributed the banner's message to George Bush.

All that proves is that they didn't listen to what he had to say four years ago. As A Better Where To Find points out, Bush hardly communicated anything remotely like that the war was over:

We have difficult work to do in Iraq. We're bringing order to parts of that country that remain dangerous. We're pursuing and finding leaders of the old regime, who will be held to account for their crimes. We've begun the search for hidden chemical and biological weapons and already know of hundreds of sites that will be investigated. We're helping to rebuild Iraq, where the dictator built palaces for himself, instead of hospitals and schools. And we will stand with the new leaders of Iraq as they establish a government of, by, and for the Iraqi people.

The transition from dictatorship to democracy will take time, but it is worth every effort. Our coalition will stay until our work is done. Then we will leave, and we will leave behind a free Iraq.

Nowhere in this speech did Bush declare that the war was over, nor that we could leave Iraq. In fact, he made it plain that we would stick by the Iraqi people and remain in place until they could establish a democratic government that could secure the nation.

Read the rest of the Captain's Quarters piece where he also shows Hillary Clinton's words.

We will call this Lesson #1 in todays Educating the Democrats post here at Wake up America... Captain Ed educating the Dems on how to actually READ.

Next up is MY educating lesson to the Dems today and we will start with the word Victory.

(All meanings can be found at Dictionary.com)

Victory:

1. a success or triumph over an enemy in battle or war.

2. an engagement ending in such triumph: American victories in the Pacific were won at great cost.

3. the ultimate and decisive superiority in any battle or contest: The new vaccine effected a victory over poliomyelitis.

4. a success or superior position achieved against any opponent, opposition, difficulty, etc.: a moral victory.

Next is the word Success:

1. the favorable or prosperous termination of attempts or endeavors.

The next word is Courage:

1. the quality of mind or spirit that enables a person to face difficulty, danger, pain, etc., without fear; bravery.

The next word is Promise as used in "we promised to help the Iraqi's"

1. a declaration that something will or will not be done, given, etc., by one: unkept political promises.

2. an express assurance on which expectation is to be based: promises that an enemy will not win.

3. something that has the effect of an express assurance; indication of what may be expected.

Last but not least is the word Patriotism:

devoted love, support, and defense of one's country; national loyalty.

See also: patriot, patriotic

I am not bothering with the words Surrender and Defeat because, as we all have seen, the Dems and the far left understand those words all too well.

This has been an educational service announcement and back to regularly scheduled programming now.....
