Al Qaeda: Tip of the Brotherhood's Spear

I strongly suspect that al Qaeda is the Muslim Brotherhood's "tip of the spear" in the Middle East and North Africa.  It is noteworthy that every time the Muslim Brotherhood is active in taking over a nation, al Qaeda happens to be involved.

Here are some considerations about the relationship between the Muslim Brotherhood and al Qaeda:

(1) Plausible Deniability.  Even though al Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood share similar ideologies (through Egyptian Islamic theorist Sayyid Qutb), the Brotherhood does not currently acknowledge affiliation with al Qaeda.  This gives the Brotherhood plausible deniability should they utilize al Qaeda as its military arm to achieve its goals through violent jihad.

(2) Jihad is Obligatory.  According to "Reliance of the Traveller," a book on Sharia Law, it is obligatory (mandatory) for Muslims to either participate in the violent form of jihad, or provide assistance to those executing jihad.  The formation of "al Qaeda" groups gives Muslims an outlet to fulfill this obligation.

(3) Military Arm.  The organizational name of "Al Qaeda" presents a recognizable image that will readily attract jihadis in pursuit of the goals of Islam.  It is therefore convenient to establish a branch of al Qaeda anywhere the Muslim Brotherhood wants to undertake military action.

(4) Enemy of the United States.  Since the United States is at war with al Qaeda, if al Qaeda appears in a nation that is in revolution, the United States will feel obligated to prevent the al Qaeda forces from taking over the government, capturing chemical weapons, etc.  The United States must therefore get involved in the conflict and back the rebels who don't call themselves "al Qaeda."  This "other" rebel group would also be backed by the Muslim Brotherhood.  In this manner the Muslim Brotherhood receives support from the American taxpayer in the achievement of their goals.

These are my thoughts and are by no means certainties.  However, I do believe they deserve investigation, as I believe there is a plausible linkage between the Muslim Brotherhood and al Qaeda.

Facebook Policies

For those of you who use Facebook, you should be aware of their policies and proposed changes to them.  Some of the policies are ambiguous at best and can be interpreted in a very broad manner to prevent users from posting content that is deemed politically incorrect (censorship).

For instance, rule #7 under paragraph 3 (Safety) in Statement of Rights and Responsibilities:

"You will not post content that: is hate speech, threatening, or pornographic; incites violence; or contains nudity or graphic or gratuitous violence."

"Hate speech" is a subjective term and is therefore a tool that can be arbitrarily applied to limit your speech since it can be defined in almost any way one wishes.  It can be used to censor the truth when speaking about other religions or cultures, and can be employed to support other culture's laws such as Sharia.  Restricting "hate speech" is also the beginning of government control over the content of the Internet since they can dictate what is considered hate speech, and what is not.

Prohibiting language that "incites violence" can be used to enforce Sharia blasphemy laws.  If this restriction means you cannot explicitly direct others to commit violent acts, that is understandable.  However, it should not be used to prohibit speech that may precipitate a violent reaction because another does not like what is said.  The perpetrator of the violence is responsible for their own actions, not the writer.  However, much like the lie that the Benghazi attack was in reaction to "The Innocence of Muslims" video, violent reactions to speech are quickly used as a reason to limit what citizens are allowed say.  In fact, the latter interpretation encourages the blatant use of violence to intimidate others to self-censor their speech.

In conclusion, Facebook needs to clarify some of the policy statements so that users know exactly what they mean.  After seeing where Facebook is headed with their policies, citizens may want to pay more attention to the policies being created.  (You could leave comments on Facebook's "Proposed Updates to our Governing Documents" page until this past week.  If you have issues with their proposed and current policies, you might be able to contact them directly.)

French Media Ignores Massive Anti-Islam Protest

"A patriotic march for French values and culture, and against radical Islam, was virtually blacked out by France’s politically correct media. 

Over the weekend, protestors chanted against Islamic fascism and about the French victory over Arab invaders in 732 A.D. It was the first march of its kind in France.
A broad coalition of groups from across France came together because they feel they’re losing their country to radical Islam, Sharia law, and a politically correct establishment that encourages the spread of Islam. 

“Sharia law is slowly being enforced in our country and we want to march here to protest that because our government is doing nothing,” one French demonstrator said.
“The French people — they want to defend their culture, their history – they are called ‘fascists,’” one woman said. 

“I don’t think it’s only a problem of France. It’s a problem of Europe. It’s also a problem for the U.S.A.,” another protestor said. 

France has more Muslims than any other European nation. Some believe there could be as many as 15 million Muslims in France, although the official figure is much lower.
Noted French writer Renaud Camus helped organize the march. 

“What I call ‘le grande remplacement,’ or ‘the big replacement,’ the change in population, is the biggest thing to happen in French history since the 15th century,” he said. 

The leftist French media ignored the demonstration, seeing it as racist. But it’s clear the movement to resist radical Islam is growing in France."
