House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Votes Eric Holder In Contempt Of Congress

Quick catchup: Yesterday after House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa and Attorney General Eric Holder failed to come to an understanding about documents the Oversight Committee had issued a subpoena to Holder to obtain and Holder refused to produce , Holder then requested Barack Obama assert Executive Privilege to forestall Holder being held in Contempt of Congress for refusing to produce the documents which are part of the Oversight Committee's investigation into the failed gun running operation.

 Obama complied, granted the request, and sent a letter to the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee asserting Executive Privilege for information that the Obama administration previously claimed they had no knowledge of.

The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee voted and by a vote of 23 to 17, has found Obama's Attorney General, Eric Holder, in contempt of Congress and now heads to the full House of Representatives to be approved.

Terry family attorney Pat McGroder on Wednesday released the following statement from Terry’s parents Josephine Terry and Kent Terry Sr.: “Attorney General Eric Holder’s refusal to fully disclose the documents associated with Operation Fast and Furious and President Obama’s assertion of executive privilege serves to compound this tragedy. It denies the Terry family and the American people the truth.”

The Terrys said that their son “was killed by members of a Mexican drug cartel armed with weapons from this failed Justice Department gun trafficking investigation. For more than 18 months we have been asking our federal government for justice and accountability. The documents sought by the House Oversight Committee and associated with Operation Fast and Furious should be produced and turned over to the committee. Our son lost his life protecting this nation, and it is very disappointing that we are now faced with an administration that seems more concerned with protecting themselves rather than revealing the truth behind Operation Fast and Furious.”

Earlier today, Josephine Terry was on Philadelphia Talk Radio 1210 WPHT.

Asked about the president’s assertion, she said, “The only thing I can say is, if he did that they apparently don’t want Issa to get the documents to see what’s in there.” 

“My son and I were very, very close,” she continued. “And my son was a person that believed in justice and he believed in telling the truth. He was a man of his honor. And if anybody knew him, they knew that. And I know he would be saying ‘you know what, I died for my country.’ He was a true American and I think he deserves the truth and I think everybody should know the truth. And if this was a bad thing they did with Fast and Furious it should be acknowledged so it never happens to anybody else’s son.”

A gun from the Fast and Furious operation was found at the scene of Brian Terry's murder.

Despite continuous denials from the Obama administration, the issuing of the Executive Privilege order has now brought to light questions of whether the administration knew more than they originally admitted to or what they are hiding and trying to cover up.

Despite claims that this is a Republican "witch hunt", as of May 2012, 127 House members have demanded Holder be fired or resign, this includes 31 Democrats.

“The apparent apathy of President Obama and Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano is inexplicable. Texas Gov. Rick Perry recently asked Napolitano to dispatch unmanned surveillance drones and 1,000 additional U.S. soldiers to boost federal Border Patrol agents and local sheriffs in the effort to protect the border. Instead of heeding Perry's warning, Napolitano instead canceled the "virtual" border surveillance project approved under the Bush administration. There is an article entitled: “Violence on the border endangers Americans” at the Washington Examiner which you will find here (SOURCE). We urge you to click over to this site and read it. It is an editorial opinion and an important one.

As far as I am concerned and, I believe, the US Constitution demands, the primary task of the US Government is National Defense. Protection of US citizens from invasion by other countries would certainly fall within that definition.

Allow me to pose a question: What will the US government do when one of our US citizens raises his deer rifle and takes out the stabilizing propeller on the tail of one of those Mexican Army Helicopters and brings it down causing the death of those Mexican military personnel within? Don’t want to go there – do you?

Maybe I should ask: How long before the scenario above actually becomes a fait accompli? It WILL happen -- if the Mexicans continue to invade US airspace. I mean, it is recognized, internationally, as an act of war. (Yes, I have to ask: Are those Mexican helicopters the same helicopters paid for by U.S. taxpayers and given to Mexico by the U.S. government which are now being used to invade U.S. airspace? It is a fair question – is it not?)

If it is possible to be a bigger “wuss” than President Jimmy Carter was – then Obama certainly is. The man has bared the chest and neck of America to its enemies.

It will be a miracle if America is not invaded by a foreign power before the American electorate can get Obama out of the Oval Office.

America cannot survive with a weakling as President. America has a perpetual bulls eye painted on its back and we are the target for all sorts of mischief -- including invasion by our southern neighbor.

Just a few days ago I heard a radio talker, not a political talker, express his thoughts that the US should just make Mexico the 51st state and be done with it. More Americans than you might think are expressing that same feeling these days.

Nothing will be done to secure our borders until we are rid of the Utopian seeking Hippies in charge of the US Government today. That chance is coming -- Judgment Day -- November 2nd, 2010.

I hope it is a short summer.

Texas National Guard Not Yet on High Alert

Rumors have been generated on internet forums and among some bloggers that Texas State Senator Dan Patrick had been interviewed by Fox News today and that Patrick said that the Texas National Guard was on High Alert.

Internet mailings such as the one below indicated that the Texas National Guard had already been put on High Alert. This apparently is not the case as of this afternoon.

Texas State Senator, Dan Patrick, was on FoxNews this morning at 8:45am. He said he had some “breaking news to share”. Boy was it!!! The Texas State Legislature had been trying very hard to get the Obama Administration to respond to a critical situation on the Texas Border. The Administration had not gotten back with Texas as of last night. So the State of Texas told Washington D.C. basically they could go jump, and “we’ll take care of Texas!”. As of last night… the Texas National Guard has been put on High Alert!!!

The situation is definitely getting bad on the Texas-Mexico border. A violent street battle between suspected gangsters and Mexican soldiers killed at least five people last Tuesday morning in the border town of Reynosa.

On the same day last week police in the Rio Grande Valley had to close the Pharr international bridge to Mexico due to border violence.

"We depend on the Mexican trucks that cross, but right now it's dead," explains customs broker Elsa Gomez. Her business is located right next to the Pharr international bridge.

According to Lockernome.com:

• 100’s of PRO-DRUG CARTEL Mexicans were blocking the entrance to the United States, yesterday and today, banging cars, shouting and holding signs. 10 people were killed Wed. and 12 more yesterday at the border (5 of which were children!!!)
• Mexico is breaking out in Civil War in the western part of the border and they expect it to spread the entire border with no end in sight.
• The National Guard will be activated as the scenario worsens and is on Alert now and will remain so until (and IF) Washington does something to end the danger on the border
Patrick has been in touch with DC and as yet, they have not responded.

This afternoon I spoke with Court Koenning of Texas Senator Dan Patrick’s office. According to Koennig, Patrick was interviewed by a local Nashville radio station today but did not say that the Texas National Guard was on High Alert. Last week Patrick stated during an interview that for the first time since Katrina the State Emergency Service, located in Austin, was activated at the suggestion of Homeland Security for about a day in response to border violence organized by the Mexican drug cartels. Koennig stated that Patrick never said that the Texas National Guard was on high alert.

Top Russian Analyst Predicts U.S. Breakup and New North American Currency

Monday a top Russian political analyst predicted that the United States is heading for collapse and will divide into six separate parts. Canada, Mexico and the U.S. will adopt the Amero currency, and China and Russia will regulate world markets.

According to RIA Novosti (Russian News and Information Agency), Professor Igor Panarin was interviewed by Izvestia and the interview was published on Monday.

If and when the U.S. breakup comes about Panarin states that "we” (Russia) “could claim Alaska - it was only granted on lease, after all."

Panarian said that because the dollar “is not secured by anything,” and because America’s debt has “grown like an avalanche” and is now more than 11 trillion, this “is a pyramid that can only collapse.”

Panarin has been making this prediction since 1998. RIA Novosti reported that Panarin made these dire predictions at an international conference in Australia 10 years ago when the U.S. economy appeared to be strong.

Panarin hedged when it came to pinpointing the exact time of the “expected” U.S. economic collapse.

When asked when the U.S. economy would collapse, Panarin said: "It is already collapsing. Due to the financial crisis, three of the largest and oldest five banks on Wall Street have already ceased to exist, and two are barely surviving. Their losses are the biggest in history. Now what we will see is a change in the regulatory system on a global financial scale: America will no longer be the world's financial regulator."

Panarin said that China, “with its vast reserves, and Russia, “could play the role of a regulator in Eurasia."

Panarin stated that millions of Americans have lost their savings and because General Motors and Ford are on the verge of collapse and whole cities will be left without work. Because governors are also demanding money from the federal government, dissatisfaction is growing. Panarin continued:

"Dissatisfaction is growing, and at the moment it is only being held back by the elections and the hope that Obama can work miracles. But by spring, it will be clear that there are no miracles."

RIA Novosti also reported that Panarin points to a vulnerable political setup in the U.S., which includes "lack of unified national laws," and "divisions among the elite,” which will bring the breakup about in the very near future.

He predicted that the U.S. will break up into six parts - the Pacific coast, with its growing Chinese population; the South, with its Hispanics; Texas, where independence movements are on the rise; the Atlantic coast, with its distinct and separate mentality; five of the poorer central states with their large Native American populations; and the northern states, where the influence from Canada is strong. . . He even suggested that "we could claim Alaska - it was only granted on lease, after all."

According to RIA Novosti, Panarin claimed that a secret (North American Union) agreement in 2006 was reached between Canada, Mexico and the U.S. making the Amero currency the new monetary unit. This Amero will replace the dollar under the pretext that “terrorists are forging them and they need to be checked."

For a little perspective on Russia’s failing economy read Wednesday’s article, Russia and the Global Economic Crisis by Stephen Sestanovich published by the Council on Foreign Relations.

Apparently Russia’s economy isn’t doing all that well. Export earnings from energy and metals are sharply declining, corporate balance sheets are over-leveraged, there is a “chorus of bailout appeals,” bank failures, credit crunches, failing real-estate and mortgage defaults . . . and the list goes on.

Mexican President Felipe Calderon said, "Mexico does not end at its borders," and "Where there is a Mexican, there is Mexico." We've know that's what they believe, but now they have finally said it out loud, for all legal Americans to hear.

We strongly protest the unilateral measures taken by the U.S. Congress and government that have only persecuted and exacerbated the mistreatment of Mexican undocumented workers," he said. "The insensitivity toward those who support the U.S. economy and society has only served as an impetus to reinforce the battle ... for their rights."

He also reached out to the millions of Mexicans living in the United States, many illegally, saying: "Where there is a Mexican, there is Mexico." (News Max)

Targeting Illegal Immigration: It’s Just the Biggest Market

We traditionalists seem to be preaching to the choir while we practice more hand-wringing over our constantly unanswered question: Why is it that our government seems so unconcerned about this massive invasion of illegal immigrants?

Here’s the simple answer. It’s all about numbers: money, power, and population growth!!! The Hispanics have it and they are taking control. The business sector knows it, the political parties know it, and the rest of us are just waking up to these facts of life.

Note: The word “Hispanic” is a term denoting a derivation from Spain, its people and culture. It follows the same style of use as Anglo, which indicates a derivation of England and the English. . . . It is therefore not a racial term, although as used in the United States it often carries racial connotations. The term was first adopted in the United States by the administration of Richard Nixon[1] and has since been used as a broad form of classification in the U.S. census, local and federal employment, mass media, and business market research.

The problem with Hispanic market research is that there is no ethical concern as to whether the Hispanic populations they are targeting are U.S. citizens, legal immigrants, or illegal aliens, as long as they are spending disposable income. And the Hispanic population as a whole has plenty to spend. Additionally, much of the Hispanic population is in sympathy with the “plight” of the illegal immigrants.

If it wasn’t so sad it would be amusing to watch the antics of both the Democratic and Republican parties in their feeble attempts to pander to the growing Hispanic clout. It’s obvious that both parties are playing the appeasement game – a game always played by the weak and defeated. Democrats, the most obvious of the panderers, expect to substantially enlarge their base with the “undying loyalty” of the high birth rate low income new immigrants. The legal status of these immigrants matters little to the Democrats. They foresee an open-border sort of non-nation multicultural America of the future where every culture will prosper in their balkanized socialistic utopia. Utopia for the left means destroying every last vestige of nationhood and keeping divisive racial fires burning.

The Republicans, the more pragmatic of the two parties, are literally banking on capitalism through globalization and privatization as a way to ensure America’s economic growth by focusing on Hispanic economic clout. Once most of our government has been successfully globalized and privatized, it really won’t matter what we call this piece of ground, or what language we speak. Basically, this once proud nation will be just another multicultural market place that the Republicans intend to control. Republicans know that Utopia is a myth and they don’t care a hoot about race as long as disposable income remains the only unifying force of the land.

But what about the great majority of American citizens who have expressed their grave concerns about illegal immigration to their legislators and to congress, don’t we matter? Isn’t it important that our laws be obeyed instead of rewarding law-breakers who have violated our borders? Isn’t our language worth protecting? Isn’t our American history and culture worth saving from hordes of illegal immigrants who have no intention of assimilation, and who have demonstrated that our laws only apply to us “Nationalistic” suckers who call ourselves “U.S. Citizens”?

The answer is pretty clear. No, friends, we don’t matter much any more. If what we think about this great nation did matter, we would have plenty of voices in congress and in our state legislatures echoing what We The People are demanding. Our law-abiding voices have fallen upon deaf ears.

It’s really all up to us now – each of us acting individually. It’s not enough to blog every day and to feel oh so self-satisfied that we have reached a few like-minded people that actually did bother to read our entire post. We’ve got to make our demands known to our elected officials every day. We’ve got to contact the media every day and demand that our voices be heard. We’ve got to be out there talking to people every day. We’ve go to make a lot of noise every single day.

For those of us who are too timid or too complacent to bother, here are a few facts that spell out how this nation’s demographics are changing and will drastically change in the next few years:

Hispanics: Minority group with most disposable income
The Selig Center for Economic Growth recently released its annual report, "The Multicultural Economy," that showed Hispanic spending power in 2007 is $863 billion in 2007, the most of any other minority group and up 300 percent since 1990 -- according to an article on RTO.com. . .

Undocumented immigrant labor currently accounts for an estimated 5-8 percent of the total U.S. workforce. One million of the 2.5 million new jobs created in the U.S. in 2004 went to immigrants. Over 56 percent of all immigrant workers in the U.S. are Hispanic (37 percent of these workers are Mexican). . .

Future growth will come from the acculturating segments within the Hispanic population, not just from the recent arrivals, who tend to be Spanish-language dominant, and who have characterized the paradigm for so long.

If this is the case, it's worth noting that businesses and corporations that continue to force Spanish as a primary means of communication can only be targeting the new and mostly illegal arrivals.

A June 2002 Zogby poll of Mexicans found that a substantial majority of Mexican citizens believe that southwestern America is rightfully the territory of Mexico and that Mexicans do not need the permission of the U.S. to enter. The poll found that 58 percent of Mexicans agree with the statement, "The territory of the United States' southwest rightfully belongs to Mexico." Zogby said 28 percent disagreed, while another 14 percent said they weren't sure.percent said they weren't sure.

In U.S., fear and distrust of Muslims runs deep (Ya think???)

“POLLS SHOW WIDESPREAD ANTI-MUSLIM SENTIMENT
Those in agreement are not a fringe minority: A Gallup poll this summer of more than 1,000 Americans showed that 39 percent were in favor of requiring Muslims in the United States, including American citizens, to carry special identification.
Roughly a quarter of those polled said they would not want to live next door to a Muslim and a third thought that Muslims in the United States sympathized with al Qaeda, the extremist group behind the September 11, 2001, attacks on New York and Washington.
A poll carried out by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), an advocacy group, found that for one in three Americans, the word Islam triggers negative connotations such as "war," "hatred" and "terrorist." The war in Iraq has contributed to such perceptions.”

It is interesting to note that the Reuters spin doctors failed to mention anything of criticism about CAIR. They just slipped by the fact that CAIR has supported Islamic terrorist organizations!

Why You Can’t Have an Intelligent Conversation With Loose Bolts (Leftist Loonies)

I thought you might find this utterly contradictory argument by BC Politics amusing, if not so tragically absurd. The author, Dave Nalle, attempts to give us all some “Basic Facts on Illegal Immigration.” The correct title should be “Basic Leftist Propagandized Talking Points for Blanket Amnesty.”

Here’s an excerpt. Please, please try very hard to follow his logic. Be patient with Dave, he just a “reasonable” leftist loon!

Real poor people can't afford to travel to another country to earn better wages - they're too downtrodden. Mexicans can come here because they have the resources and skills to make it practical and worthwhile. What's more, Mexicans like the life they have in Mexico. A peculiar survey conducted in 2004 determined that Mexico is the second 'happiest' country in the world in terms of how satisfied their population is with the life they have. The US ranked 15th.”

Mexico Cozies up to Iran

Tehran, 20 November 2006 (CHN Foreign Desk) -- Iran and Mexico will sign cooperation agreement for developing cultural heritage and tourism interactions between the two countries.

The agreement will be signed in the Mexican capital during the visit of Esfandiar Rahim Mashayi, president of Iran’s Cultural Heritage and Tourism Organization (ICHTO) to Mexico. During his visit, Rahim Mashayi will meet with Mexico’s ministers of tourism and culture to discuss the terms of cooperation in detail. . . .

The following talk was given by Mahtowin Munro, a member of the Lakota Nation and co-leader of United American Indians of New England (UAINE), at a Nov. 18 Boston Workers World Party forum entitled “The Struggle for Indigenous sovereignty and immigrant rights.”

As Indigenous peoples, we have no borders. We know that our sisters and brothers from Mexico, Central America and South America have always been here and always will be. . . .

The United States is the true culprit in this situation through the robbery of the Mexican people, which began with the theft of their land . . .

. . .the land of course belongs rightfully to Indigenous peoples. So we see that the U.S. literally stole millions of acres of land from the Mexican people, then established arbitrary borders such as the Rio Grande, and now hunts down those who dare to cross those borders. . . .

Step by step, day by day, this movement will grow. The government can pass anti-immigrant laws but those laws will be repealed in the streets . . .

I believe that someday we can make a new map of the world together, a map that does not have borders among workers. Ultimately we will take back everything that is rightfully ours, everything that was stolen from us and built by the blood and sweat of our ancestors.

What is required is a new movement of unity, solidarity and resistance in all parts of the world.

Workers World Party is and will continue to be in the forefront of that new movement and we invite you to join us.

Our future, and the very future of our Mother Earth, requires us to struggle toward a socialist future.

We must come together in unity to fight against this vicious government and the corporations that control it. Together, we can build a new movement, the likes of which this country has never seen before!
