Obama and McCain Donors: Some Differences

Cross-posted by Maggie at Maggie's Notebook

Political candidates have agendas, as do voters. Most of us would think not all of any one ethnic group would almost all vote for the one candidate of their ethnicity - however, in this election, it appears that is the case.

The following is a list of Middle Eastern-seeming names found on the Federal Election Commission's website who have contributed to Senator Barack Obama. This list addresses only the "A's" and only about 12 pages of the 25 pages of "A's" are shown. I do not know if there are additional names that can be added to the list below from the remainder of the alphabet.

For Senator McCain: In the A, F, H, I, M, O, U and Z FEC categories, I found no Middle-Eastern-seeming names. Use this link to search the McCain FEC database.

About the names I have listed:
(1) I omitted all Middle Eastern names with a Western-seeming given name.
(2) I omitted many names that might qualify for this list.
(3) I probably missed a few.

There are two ways for a reader to check the validity of the names I have listed, on the FEC website. Using the link to all "A's" is a better source, as all of the information about the donor can be accessed. The link for each individual name may, or may not, give the amount of the donation.

This article is intended to demonstrate not how much money is donated, but rather a particular ethnicity that has donated overwhelmingly to one candidate, and seemingly, none or almost none, to the other.

Individuals who gave to Senator Barack Obama

CAIR Blames Bloggers for Tyson's Reinstatement of Labor Day

Originally posted by Maggie at Maggie's Notebook

Tyson Foods gave Labor Day back to the Laborers today and Islam's jihad on the traditional American lifestyle took a significant hit.

Ibrahim Hooper, Council on American Islamic Relation's (CAIR) National Communications Director, says Tyson Food's reinstatement of Labor Day as a paid holiday at their Shelbyville, TN plant, is

...the result of the backlash from anti-Muslim hate (Web) sites and Islamophobes on the Internet..."
This unsourced quote from the same Seattle Times article shows how deeply the Islamification of American life has embedded itself in our daily lives:
Requests for workplace accommodations of Muslim religious obligations have become common around the country, say Muslim advocates.
This is a broad failure for CAIR. It will not be easy to hi-jack another American tradition.

Shelbyville, Tennessee's mayor, along with some elected state officials, made this statement in a letter:
For over a hundred years, Labor Day has stood as a symbol to honor the working men and women of this country. But for the past few years traditions like Labor Day have been under attack. This time it's gone too far and we, as patriotic Americans, must draw our line in the sand," the letter said states.
As far as "anti-Muslim hate web sites" being credited for this failure, I'm pleased to take my portion of the credit, and CAIR can call us what they will, but for me, I am against the Islamification of all things in America: no prayer rugs, no special prayer rooms, no foot baths, no Islamic prayers in schools, no directions to Mecca. A Muslim's right to pray on company time or in a public facility is no more important than my right. I have no right to visible prayer in any of those arenas.

Remember US Airways and the "flying imams?" The six clerics alarmed airport workers, US Airways passengers and crew with their "suspicious" behavior, and were removed from the flight before take-off.

One of the clerics was Omar Shahin. From The Wall Street Opinion Journal:
From 2000 to 2003, he headed the Islamic Center of Tucson, which terrorism expert Rita Katz described in the Washington Post as holding "basically the first cell of al Qaeda in the United States.
What was the suspicious behavior:
Some prayed loudly in the gate area, spoke angrily about the U.S. and Saddam, switched seats and unnecessarily requested seat belt extenders with heavy buckles that could be used as weapons, according to witnesses.
America's first Muslim Congressman, Keith Ellison (D-MN), who took his oath to office on the Koran, said the imam's situation reflects a misunderstanding of Muslim prayer and will be sorted out in court. The airport is in Ellison's district:
While some constituents have understood the fears of the passenger who reported the clerics' prayers as suspicious activity, many more have expressed shock and surprise at what they perceive as discrimination," Ellison wrote.
Well, maybe but Katherine Kersten, writing for the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported:
So far, Minnesotans have said a resolute "no" to Muslim activists' agenda; in an informal Star Tribune poll, 92% of respondents blamed the imams' own behavior for their airport detention.
The Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) spokesman, Patrick Hogan told Ms. Kersten:
...there is a sense that we've seen just the opening skirmishes. As MAC spokesman Patrick Hogan put it, "I think people are afraid there will be a chapter two."
Exactly, and chapter two, three, four and on and on are happening all over America. Tyson Foods' disregard for America's beloved holidays is but one more example of bowing to the Islamification of all things, but America won this one too.

Increasingly, Americans are drawing a line in the sand. We will win this battle when we draw the line at our borders.

The flying imams filed a lawsuit against US Airways with CAIR as their Council.

Flight 93 Blogburst - August 7, 2008

Blogburst logo, petition

Tom Burnett Sr. entered the lion's den on Saturday to oppose the crescent memorial to Flight 93 (now called a broken circle). An excerpt from the beginning of the Somerset Daily American's banner headline story about division amongst the families:
"Tom Burnett Jr. led the effort to take the plane back," his father said. "When I was on the design jury, I saw the red crescent of embrace and realized it was an obvious and blatant symbol of Islam. It does not properly honor our people — those Flight 93 heroes. I think it's a travesty that it's moved along so fast."

He called for an investigation into the design. When he has brought up his concerns, some of the task force and advisory commission members have dismissed him, he said.

"This is a cataclysmic mistake," he said. "I'm going to save you from yourselves. I'd like to ask for an unbiased, transparent, honest investigation. This is just a terrible, terrible mistake. I'm asking every American — we must stop this mistake. This panel doesn't own the design, I don't own it, Pennsylvania doesn't own it, all of America and all of the world own it."

He said he is also tired of the controversy, but that they must honor the heroes properly. It will reverberate in history.

"I'm not going to stop fighting this thing, it is very, very bad," Burnett said. "Wake up. Get your heads out of the sand."
Other Flight 93 family members roared back. What is usually a three hour quarterly meeting of the Memorial Project stretched to five hours as over twenty people signed up to speak on both sides.

One side wants scrutiny. The other is desperate to avoid it.

The pattern at the meeting was simple and consistent. Critics of the crescent design pointed out damning facts and called for independent investigation. Defenders of the broken circle insisted that there is nothing to investigate, and cried out for critics of the design to stop putting them through this agony.

If the claims of the critics are not accurate, independent investigation would end the agony. If the crescent/broken-circle does not actually point within two degrees of Mecca, then put this explosive claim to rest by showing where the crescent does point. If there are not actually to be 44 inscribed translucent blocks emplaced along the flight path (matching the number of passengers, crew, and terrorists), it is a simple matter of opening up the design drawings and counting.

If the defenders of the crescent had truth on their side, they would be eager to have it exposed. Unfortunately for them, the giant crescent does point to Mecca, and somehow they don't want the public to know it.

Todd Beamer's father is on the side of the crescent?

The highest profile defender of the crescent design was Mr. David Beamer, whose son Todd issued the "Let's roll" signal to re-take Flight 93. Mr. Beamer, beloved by conservatives for his opposition to Congressman Murtha, had not previously taken a public position on the crescent design. He has apparently gotten involved in fundraising for the memorial, and announced at the meeting that he has undertaken two months of due diligence, looking into criticisms of the design.

Listeners expected Mr. Beamer to continue with a report on his fact-checking efforts, but he did not have a single word to say about any of the claims that Mr. Rawls and Mr. Burnett have put forward, launching instead into an extended condemnation of Alec Rawls for his "obsessive" persistence.

If he found that the giant crescent does not point to Mecca, surely he would have said so. Similarly for the terrorist memorializing block count, or the placement of the 9/11 date in the exact position of the star on an Islamic crescent and star flag. What better way to be rid of this dastardly Rawls fellow than to expose his claims as a fraud?

Mr. Beamer's silence about what he found speaks volumes, and not just about the crescent design. Who could fact check these claims and then be silent about his findings?

Don't look at the design drawings!

Every defender of the crescent had his own scheme of evasion and obfuscation. Patrick White, Vice President of Families of Flight 93, took Alec Rawls to task for holding up a 2005 graphic of the top of the Tower of Voices, where an Islamic shaped crescent soars in the sky above the symbolic lives of the 40 heroes. This old graphic should not be taken as indicative of the current design Mr. White suggested, as the design has evolving for three years now. Yet the exact same graphic was brought to the meeting by the Memorial Project itself, and was on display right outside the courtroom where the meeting was held.

That's going to make some great video, as will one particularly scurrilous attack on Mr. Burnett, and the victim card played by Project Superintendent Joanne Hanley. Several videographers will be sending raw footage, which Alec will start putting together when he returns to California next week.

Big enough to check the facts yet?

How big does the conflict have to get before some major media outlet is willing to do their jobs and actually check the facts for themselves? David Dunbar and Brad Reagan of Popular Mechanics were willing to fact-check the "9/11 truth" morons, finding that most of their evidence is deliberately taken out of context, and that none of their claims stand up to the least bit of scrutiny.

Come on PM. If we are a bunch of frauds then we are just as much in need of debunking. We've even got Flight 93 family members at loggerheads and crying out for relief. What are you waiting for? (A handy dandy list of damning facts to check here.)

The Somali's Only Documented Act of Assimilation - Voting

Originally posted by Maggie at Maggie's Notebook

Tyson Foods' cancellation of the Labor Day holiday for their employees in Tennessee - instead giving them a Muslim holiday - want it or not - on the day decreed by Islam, was the final nail for me.

A reader and great blogger Holger Awakens left the following story on one of my comment threads. Think about the significance of Holger's last paragraph:

Many, many years ago, the State of Minnesota led the nation in extending an invitation to the people of South Vietnam to come to Minnesota and start a new life - much of that was coordinated by the churches in Minnesota. These Vietnamese refugees came to Minnesota and after a few growing pains, assimilated into American and Minnesota society and have been a truly miraculous contributing segment of society.

The same experiment was tried with Somalis coming to Minnesota, yet now after several years, the muslims of Somalia in Minnesota continue to fight assimilation and instead demand conforming to THEIR way of life. They have brought crime and divisiveness to Minnesota where the Vietnamese brought an ethic of hard work and honor.

P.S. the one documented act of assimilation into Minnesota society by the Somalis was in 2006 when they massed at the voting precincts in Minneapolis to cast their votes. And who did they help elect? The moutpiece for the Nation of Islam, Keith Ellison.
In a previous post, Tyson Foods Brings Latent Tuberculosis to Emporia, KS, I asked how hundreds of sick Somalis were allowed into the United States under the guise of working for Tyson Foods.

I don't have the answer but the problem is far more convoluted than presented by the author of a Topeka Capital-Journal piece, who viewed a huge influx of Somali "humanitarian refugees" as "exotic."

H/T to reader Bob for providing this link: On December 9, 2007 Tom Squitieri writing for NewsMax reported the death of a Somalia man inside the Emporia, KS Tyson plant in January 2007. After that death from tuberculosis, health officials reported 160 cases of latent TB among the "humanitarian refugees."

Again, here's the question? How did they make it into the U.S.? The Center for Disease Control says visas will not be issued to diseased individuals unless the Attorney General requests waives inadmissibility on health related issues. Is the U.S. Attorney General. I would assume so. Who requested that these men be allowed into the U.S.? It must be Tyson Foods, and why would that request be granted?

The Emporia, KS debacle is but a tip of the iceberg. From Newsmax:
Local officials say the case represents only a small part of the growing problem of foreign-born, unassimilated communities with high rates of communicable diseases such as TB and HIV. Many say they need help from Washington, which has been silent on the issue for too long.
We have not really gotten Congress to engage, which I would like to see occur, Peggy Mast, an 11-year Republican state representative from Kansas whose district includes Emporia, tells Newsmax. I have talked with some of the offices and they think it is more of a state issue . . .
Well, I assume it was not THE STATE that admitted these refugees to the U.S. in the first place. Oh, there's so much to say about this one, but I'll skip my rant for now, because there is more:

Take a look at this:
The U.S. government has agreed to resettle more than 12,000 Somalis who fled their war-torn country in the past decade. Many have been living in refugee camps in Kenya prior to coming to America.
So these 12,000 are already here - have been here for at least a year.
Mandatory health screenings are frequently put off for several months after the immigrants arrival. Those who blend into the secretive, tight-knit Somali community often do not resurface to be tested for communicable disease, officials complain.
Mast says that all levels of government need to be more pro-active in dealing with the issue of immigration workers, as it has opened up many additional areas of concerns including community safety, cultural clashes, and a long-term financial drain on communities where unskilled immigrants congregate for employment.
So at least someone is admitting that cultural clashes are a reality, and that communities suffer LONG-TERM financial harm - and these immigrants are "unskilled," to boot, so why did we bring them over? Oh, of course, it was for humanitarian reasons. What about the humanity right here in the U.S. working and paying our taxes each and every day - for what, to pay the damage control for Tyson Foods ?

When the U.S. chooses to be benevolent, there are right ways and wrong ways to go about it. This is the wrong way. These "refugees," were no doubt starving and living in unspeakable circumstances, but if we're going to bring the sick and the hungry to America, bring the children. There will be no cultural clashes, they will not hole-up in patriarchial cults, their diseases can be cured or controlled, they will have a chance for honest freedom and will not be invested in changing ours. This may not be viable - probably for certain isn't, but...

Back to Emporia:
Mast said the TB infections in the Somali community Emporia, a city of 28,000 people, the third highest TB rate in Kansas.

[The Somali community] is dealing with active cases now, she tells Newsmax. This population is extremely difficult to track and it is hard to treat them. You have to make sure they are compliant with the medication and make sure they finish it up.
Remember Andrew Speaker and his bride, Sarah? They had a fairytale wedding in Greece, honeymoon in Italy. Got a phone call in their bridal suite from the CDC. He was told that the authorities would arrive in "hours," to place him in quarantine. Well they found Andrew Speaker, from Atlanta, via Greece, in Italy, but they can't rout-out the tuberculer Somalis in Emporia, KS.

The truth is, they don't want to find them - it's not politically correct to intrude on a the privacy of a Muslim community.

Officials admit:
...that latent TB and other infectious diseases are prevalent among Somali and other humanitarian refugees arriving in the U.S.
She [Mast] said there has been little family reunification among the male workers something that could occur in the future and further exacerbate the problem and stress the community financially and culturally.
I had to reread that one a couple of times. I can only assume that these male refugees have not yet brought their refugee families to the U.S. - and if and when they do, the problems multiply.

Peggy Mast, the Gazette says, is an "11 year Republican state representative from Kansas whose district includes Emporia..." We'll I'm almost speechless:
[Mast says] There have already been several cultural clashes. This is a disservice to the population you are bringing in and you are inviting a cultural clash, Mast says. The fact there is such a cultural clash and where you have active TB cases, you only have to guess to imagine the fear that spreads through the community.
Here's a Conservative warning of the disservice to the "population" brought to the U.S. under the guise of humane refugee status - and they are sick with a communicable disease, they are trouble makers and they have no interest in "communing" with Americans.

Obviously, Ms. Mast hasn't lived in a Muslim country, because if she had, she would know all about unfair cultural clashes. Instead, she chides the people of Emporia for adding to the burden of the Somali refugees.

Here's a snippet from Peggy Mast's website:

I believe that Kansas families deserve leaders who are capable of implementing positive change...leaders who understand the unique character of our communities, the strength of our citizens, and the importance of our children's future.

During challenging times, state government needs experienced leadership rooted in conservative values that can make a difference for our communities.

I pledge to continue to be a voice for the people I represent and not special interest groups. Putting the people of my district first has always been my top priority.

Mast's website also says: "If you live in the city of Emporia, Peggy may or may not represent you,..."

The question is, is the Tyson Food plant in District 76 - Peggy's District? Is she invested in cheap labor for Tyson? Can there be another reason that she would make such charges against her constituency? As I look through her website I see that she is quite conservative - supporting second amendment rights to "keep and bear arms," including giving her vote for "conceal and carry" legislation.

Reading the comment thread in various Kansas newspapers, her constituents seem to think she is doing a good job.

Mast is calling on the Feds for thorough screenings "on refugees entering the U.S."
In addition to health concerns, she said there should be mandatory cultural education to help refugees assimilate.

Mast says "they [the Somalis] do not understand the culture."

It's not only the Somalis. Americans have learned and are beginning to accept that most Muslims, not all, will never understand our culture, refuse to understand it - it is the culture of infidels:

[Mast again] Men tend not to show respect for women. They are very demanding and do not respect other peoples space, Mast says. Additionally, she said the limited language skills have caused communication issues beyond simple day-to-day contact.

For example, Mast says most of the Somalis in Emporia are single males who live in a cluster near Emporia State University. She said several female students complained of being extremely intimidated by the Somali men's presence.

Islam knows no respect for women. God bless the women and children because the Muslim men have a plan and it's not pretty. This is something that our Government cannot legislate.

We must keep these people out of the United States. As jaded as I am, I still believe in legal immigration from Arab countries for people who have jobs, can support themselves, want to be among Americans and most importantly, understand and co-operate with us as we surveil their every move, if and when necessary.

Here's Mast worrying about the "sense of security" for the Somalis again:

We look down the road and see the problems they can create. Unemployed single males with nothing to do.

Mast says the inconsistency of some of the authorities does not help create any sense of security.

She notes that it is cultural for Somalis to marry up to four wives at one time.

Is this now legal in the U.S. - can they come here and do this, or has a local court conspired with the local back street iman to carry on business as usual - as is done routinely in Britain ?

My concern is multiple children: Is our society prepared to take responsibility for caring for that size of the family? [Sponsors] say it will be a major resettlement [in Emporia]. The community is not ready for this, Mast says.
Where in all this dialog from Ms. Mast is the culpability of Tyson Foods?

About 3/4ths of the way through this post, I found that Tyson "restructured" its Emporia plant. In January 2008 they announced the coming lay-off of 1500-2400 jobs. How many of those were Somalian refugees and where are they now? Where are the 12,000 Somalis that the U.S. agreed to resettle?

It's War - Call it What it is: War on Islam

Cross-posted by Maggie at Maggie's Notebook

After 9/11 we declared a War on Terror and it sparked a uniting of Americans that was too long coming.

We've been able to define "Terror" now for several years and we know the terror to be Islam.

WorldNetDaily quotes "a top commander for al-Qaida:"

"Islam does not distinguish between the American people and the American government, since both are in a state of war with Islam," Mustafa Abu Al-Yazid said in a recent interview.
He is right. This is a War against Islam in response to Islam's War on America, Islam's War on Freedom and Liberty, Islam's War on Infidels, Islam's War on Democracy - and just to be clear, Islam brought it to America years ago.

The difference between Islam's thinking and a thinking American is that Americans will be suspicious of, and fight back against, those Muslims supporting the downfall of America. We won't pin it on our next door neighbor unless he is found to be actively anti-American. We won't pin it on the Muslim children in our community, but we will hold their parents responsible for dispelling the Islamic agenda of hate toward us, we won't pin it on our co-worker unless she demonstrates a disdain for us - sees us as an infidel, but we will always be suspicious of the Mosques in our community - because we have no other choice.

I won't use the impotent and futile term "War on Terror" again. From now on it is the War on Islam, or the War against Islam - a hateful ideology, a hateful oppressive form of government, a seething desire to eliminate all things non-Islamic.

I'm declaring it for my blog.

Tyson Foods Brings Latent Tuberculosis to Emporia, Kansas

Cross-posted by Maggie at Maggie's Notebook

Photo from the Topeka Capital-Journal. Their caption reads:
Courtesy / Kansas Health Institute
An estimated 750 to 1,000 Somali refugees are living in Emporia, a magnet because of jobs at the Tyson Foods meatpacking plant. Many have latent tuberculosis.

H/T to Texas Fred and his comment thread.

Tyson Foods' blatant disregard for the institutions of America is worse than we thought - and it stretches outside just the Shelbyville, TN plant.

Here's how the Topeka Capital-Journal under the heading "Somalis arrive in Emporia with tuberculosis" describes the "exotic, new arrivals:"
EMPORIA — When hundreds of Somali refugees began showing up to work at the meatpacking plant, nurses Lori Torres and Renee Hively were among the first to get to know the exotic, new arrivals.

"We got notified a day in advance that 70 Somalis were being transferred from a (Tyson Foods) plant in Nebraska," Hively recalled. "That 70 soon grew into 400, seemingly overnight."...Torres is the case manager for about 160 Somalis in Emporia who have been diagnosed with latent tuberculosis....

WHERE WAS the Center for Disease Control?
HOW DID THESE PEOPLE GET INTO THE U.S.?

I found the following at immigration.com:
Section 212(a)(1) of the Immigration and Nationality Act states that aliens with specific health-related conditions are ineligible to receive visas and ineligible for admission into the United States. The Attorney General may waive application of this inadmissibility on health-related grounds if an application for waiver is filed and approved by the consular office considering the application for a visa. The Division of Migration and Quarantine, NCID uses this application primarily to collect information to establish and maintain records of waiver applicants in order to notify the Immigration and Naturalization Service when terms, conditions and controls imposed by waiver are not met. NCID is requesting the extension of this data for 3 years. There total estimated annualize burden is 167 hours.
More from the Topeka Capital-Journal:
...each of the department's [Tyson's] nurses divided the case management responsibilities, but with the surge it was decided Torres would take them all, in essence creating a full-time tuberculosis nurse position. They also persuaded the clinic's managers to hire a full-time Somali translator. [Your package of chicken fingers just went up a quarter.}
Here's the EXOTIC word again:
The Somalis are the most recent and perhaps most exotic wave for this city of about 25,000 people. Not everyone in Emporia has been welcoming. There have been incidents of vandalism and an armed robbery attempt at the Ayan Restaurant, a Somali-owned eatery that also serves as an informal community center for the refugees.

An article posted Nov. 3 on the Emporia Gazette Web site about a state grant to Catholic Community Services to help the Somalis settling in Emporia drew scores of angry, anonymous reader reactions, including this one:

"Emporia is going to be its own 3rd world country before long because of all the damn, bleeding hearts."

"They came post 9/11. They're black and they're Muslim," Hively said, describing some of the hostility demonstrated toward the Somalis. "Emporia didn't have many black people before. This is a small town."
If you haven't caught the latest news, Tyson contractually, with its Union, canceled Labor Day - no joking here - at their Shelbyville, TN plant and replaced it with a Muslim holiday sometime each Fall.

Let us put Tyson Foods out of business!
No extraordinary measures needed.
No time out of your day
Just don't buy anything made by Tyson Foods

Tyson is not only about chicken. They sell beef and pork products, including bacon. One of my readers suggested that we query restaurants. Are they using Tyson for their chicken fingers, hot wings, etc.?

Don't buy Tyson until Labor Day is acknowledged again at their Shelbyville plant and these refugees are sent back home.

Islam Hi-Jacks American Labor Day

Cross-posted by Maggie at Maggie's Notebook

I've added Tyson contact info at the end of this piece.
Thanks to Monkey in the Middle ...
who pondered how a request for a Jewish holiday might be handled by the Union and Tyson.
We know the answer to that one.

After having most of the day to think about this, I suggest the non-muslim workers (who are a minority) at the Shelbyville plant walk out tomorrow morning - along with non-muslim workers at Tyson plants everywhere. Non-employees, you can be sure, will support our valiant efforts by never buying another Tyson product - and that goes for the beef and pork, as well as the chicken.

H/T to Stop the ACLU, Stuck on Stupid and Fox News

A short rant: WHY ISN'T THIS ON FOX 24/7?

A Tyson Food plant in Shelbyville, Tennessee contractually agreed with a Union to drop Labor Day and instead, give all employees off for a new holiday - the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Fitr.

Shelbyville Times-Gazette
A recent press release from the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union (RWDSU) stated that a new contract at the Shelbyville facility "implements a new holiday to accommodate the ... Muslim workers at the plant."

The RWDSU stated that "the five-year contract creates an additional paid holiday, Iidal Fitil, a Muslim holiday that occurs toward the end of Ramadan."

Eid al-Fitr falls on Oct. 1 this year.
That's what the RWDS Union says. Here's the TRUTH:
Tyson's Director of Media Relations, Gary Mickelson, stated that while the new contract does not provide an additional holiday, as the union claimed, "the new contract includes eight paid holidays, which is the same number provided in the old contract."
Is there a Union anywhere whose word can be trusted.?

The U.S. Department of Labor gives this background on America's Labor Day, which Tyson employees in Shelbyville will no long celebrate with fellow-Americans:

"Labor Day differs in every essential way from the other holidays of the year in any country," said Samuel Gompers, founder and longtime president of the American Federation of Labor. "All other holidays are in a more or less degree connected with conflicts and battles of man's prowess over man, of strife and discord for greed and power, of glories achieved by one nation over another. Labor Day...is devoted to no man, living or dead, to no sect, race, or nation."

Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.

The press release stated:
...there are approximately 700 Muslims working at Tyson, but Mickelson said that Somalis only represent approximately 250 of the 1,200 employed at the plant, a little over 20 percent of the workforce.
What do Somali Muslims have to do with hi-jacking Labor Day? No clues in the Shelbyville Times-Gazette. The Coalition Against Illegal Immigration (CAII) reported in December 2007 that Tyson legally imported 400 Somali Muslim "humanitarian refugees" to top up its 2000 employee work force in Emporia - but not Shelbyville.

1200 employees at Tyson-Shelbyville - 700 are Muslim. My math tells me that 58% of the employees at this plant are Muslim.

Evidently we can be comforted that only 250 of the Muslims are from Somalia. Where are the remainder 500 from? Are they legal. Are they Black American Muslims? No, I don't think so. By the way, who are the Union leaders? No red-blooded America would ask to destroy Labor Day in honor of any Muslim holiday.

WorldNetDaily:
The union boasts on its website, "Diversity is one of the strengths of our union. … We may come from different countries and speak different languages. But what unites us is the belief that by standing together we can better advance our interests."
When Muslims dominate we'll see their definition of "diversity," and "standing together," and "advancing our interests." Muslims are ALLOWED one "interest," and that's "advancing" Islam with no diversity accepted.

I'm telling you friends, we'd better rise up against this. All Tyson products are off my shopping list but we need to do far more. Islam-creep and its mission-creep is gathering steam and in the name of goodwill, America is giving up all it holds dear.

Video - Muslims: The New Protected Species - Calling Bloggers

Cross-posted by Maggie at Maggie's Notebook

Battle Cry for Britain

Quotes from the video:
More polygamy, domestic violence, forced marriages, and honor killings.

A time when silence becomes a guilt, a sin
Whole sections of Britain are now considered dangerous "no-go" zones for non-muslims
A government haunted by political correctness.
A hornets nest of extremism in Britain
Hardcore Islamisits have not been assimilated into society
Many Muslims do not want Shari'a law, yet it might be foisted on them by political leaders

Note from Maggie:
Assimilating hardcore Islamists into society"
It is essential to understand that "hardcore" Islamists will NEVER be assimilated into society. Britain's leadership has been courting Muslims for a very, very long time.
That relationship enabled the theft of Israel's mandated land at the time of their statehood.
The world cannot show one capitulation to Islam that has been for the good of society

Calling All Bloggers: "Capitulation to Islam is Inevitable
Cross-posted by Loyal Eagle fromDaily Insults

I'm hoping other bloggers -- no, I pray other bloggers will pick-up this story and drum the hell out of it; bloggers better suited than I to prepare the rest of us for the battle on the horizon. Let our cry be: "We Will Not Let Freedom Die Without Us At Her Side."

This story is about one blogger in particular, Paul Ray, and what's happening to him and to our brothers and sisters across the pond. The politically-correct, multiculturalism, British thought-police arrested Ray for blogging about radical Muslims who were promoting jihadism. They arrested Ray for allegedly inciting racial hatred - not the radical imams. His specific crime? Well, he called the radicals who advocated the beheading of infidels - meaning us -- 'savages.' For the life of me, I wouldn't know what else to call them either.

Capitulation to Islam is becoming a reality, and it's also closer to home than you think. From what I now understand, there are other similar instances that occurred here in the United States, which I hope bloggers across the Internet will investigate.

First, take a look at what's going on in England. See anything familiar?

The [British] government has made so-called "hate speech," illegal, but it also depends on who is doing the hating. When one group of British citizens protested the Mohammed cartoons at the Danish embassy in London in 2006, they expressed their allegiance to Osama bin Laden, and called for beheadings and nuclear attacks against Denmark Britain and America. Yet British police arrested no one, until there was a public uproar.

Compare that to when Britain's Channel 4 Dispatches program exposed violent rhetoric in local mosques. British police initially decided to charge - not the radical imams who were promoting violence and bigotry - but the news program that did the report, for allegedly stirring up racial hatred.

For now, it suffices to scream a new battle cry in unison, "We will not let Freedom die without us at her side." Those are fighting words, my friends, and perhaps I could even be arrested for writing and promoting them. But, I was born in New Hampshire and my "Live Free or Die" spirit came with me.

End Loyal Eagle's post.

Keeping Our Eyes on the Rapid Islamification of Germany

As Radical Islam Mobilizes in Germany We Must Understand Why America is so Vulnerable.
Here’s an excerpt from a thought-provoking article by an elitist lefty who can’t help using the overused phrase “right-wing xenophobes” even when he has to admit that increasing numbers of left-wing xenophiles also fear this rapid Muslim take over in Germany.
As you read this excerpt please note that Germany already has 163 existing traditional mosques and there is now planned construction for 180 more mosques – many planned for areas with little Islamic population.
Here the excerpt from Not in My Backyard, Say an Increasing Number of Germans: (Bold highlights and comments added by me)
The planned construction of over 180 mosques in Germany is mobilizing right-wing xenophobes but also an increasing number of leftist critics. They fear the Muslim places of worship will facilitate the establishment of a completely parallel society. . . .

This burgeoning sentiment against mosques has no doubt been strengthened by the Islamist murders and suicide attacks that have also afflicted European cities in recent years. Some Muslims like Imran Sagir, director of a property development company specializing in mosques, say they can understand German citizens' fears. When you hear on the news about crimes committed in the name of Islam," he says, "who can blame people who don't want a mosque in the neighborhood?"

Wolfgang Huber, the head of Germany's Protestant Church and bishop for the states of Berlin and Brandenburg, names what he sees as one important cause for the increasing unease. He says there is an "obviously large-scale initiative" on the part of Islamic organizations to show their presence in as high-profile a way as possible and in as many places as possible. No fewer than 184 new mosques, some with domes and minarets, are currently being built or planned throughout Germany. That's considerably more than the 163 existing traditional mosques (along with around 2,600 prayer rooms mostly hidden within secular buildings). . .

And that appears to be only the start of an expected wider European mosque-building boom. One organization alone — Ahmadiyya, a movement seen as an outsider community within Islam that the respected German weekly Die Zeit described as "something like the Jehovah's Witnesses among Muslims" — has introduced a "100 mosque plan" for Germany. Currently 25 percent of these projects have been completed. . . .

The names of some of the newly built mosques aren't exaclty in harmony with the reassuring "Islam is peace" slogan. Religious scholar Ursula Spuler-Stegemann at Germany's University of Marburg, among others, criticizes the fact that mosques are named after warlords like Fatih Sultan Mehmet, conqueror of Constantinople. "That can only be an agenda," she believes. "These Muslims don't just want to show their presence here, but also to strengthen and expand it." . . .

In the case of the controversy over the mosque planned for Cologne's Ehrenfeld neighborhood, the right-wing Pro protesters have indeed been pushed into the margins. Their complaints have been drowned out by more high-profile statements coming from prominent leftists and liberals including German Jewish journalist Ralph Giordano, women's rights activist Alice Schwarzer and investigative reporter Günter Wallraff, who have all spoken out against the mosque. Representatives of Germany's large churches have increasingly added their voices to the criticism as well. The "dishonest dialogue" with Islam described in SPIEGEL's pages in December 2001 — in which church representatives simply ignored scandalous and unbearable aspects like persecution of Christians, discrimination against women, toleration of terror and "honor" killings for the sake of harmony — is now a thing of the past.

(Excuse me. I just had to jump in here. For the sake of harmony??? Isn’t that exactly what the Christian Left is promoting in America today???)

In place of the "fairy tale that we're all 'children of Abraham'," in the words of Leggewie, the churches are now making an effort not to entangle themselves in finding contrived common ground with Islam. Instead they are trying to find areas in which they differ — and this applies particularly to the construction of mosques. . . .

(You’d think some rational lefty xenophiles in America might take note! Ok ,forget rational. They really do see their leaders flying on the backs of Unicorns.)

In Berlin the local Ahmadiyya congregation, just 200 members strong, is pushing construction of a mosque at a cost of around €1 million ($1.6 million) in Berlin's suburban Heinersdorf district, which is home to a paucity of Muslims. Feeling left out of the process by local politicians, furious residents quickly began to gather at numerous, often overflowing and sometimes tumultuous protest meetings. "No to the mosque" or, as in the time around the fall of the Berlin Wall in this former East German district, "We are the people." They demanded that their quiet neighborhood not be allowed to be transformed into a "second Kreuzberg," a reference to a downtown Berlin neighborhood known for its massive Turkish immigrant population. "Why?" one of the speakers asked, drawing applause, "Why would you build a mosque in an area where no Muslims live?" . . .

(Obvious Answer: To intimidate, overtake, and finally to convert or kill the Infidels.)

In Islam expert Leggewie's opinion, mosques are "definitely not churches." He says they can be better described as multipurpose buildings. In the same way, Islam itself is "not just a religion," emphasizes Daniel Cohn-Bendit, a Green Party politician and long-term representative for multicultural affairs in Frankfurt. It is "also a theocratic vision," in which politics and belief are inseparably bound and "democracy and human rights are subordinate and conditional values." Islamic associations are not officially recognized religious communities, points out Necla Kelek, a Germany-based sociologist and feminist of Turkish descent. Granting building permits for mosques, she says, is "not a question of freedom of religion but a political question." She says Germany's laws governing construction and associations are ill-equipped for dealing with the issue. . .

(America take note! This isn’t just about religious freedom. It’s about what constitutes a religion – which has never been defined in the American constitution. Does our American Constitution, which offers blanket and unquestioning protection of religious freedom, create the very means by which the destruction of American sovereignty can be accomplished? Please read Why America Must Define Religion.)

Even DITIB, the comparatively moderate organization behind the mosque project in Cologne, arouses mistrust. DITIB is the long arm of a religious institution in secular Turkey. "What will most likely happen," ask the residents of Cologne who take part in the protests, "if the feared Islamization of Turkey happens? Will DITIB bring it over here?"

Cologne's Archbishop Joachim Meisner is already warning people about of areas in Germany "where sharia law is increasingly spreading." In the case of DITIB, this warning might be premature or simply inaccurate. At the same time, however, the association is remotely controlled from Ankara and has a reputation for being more concerned with helping to maintain the identity of Turkish immigrants than with helping them integrate in their new homes. . . .

After reading the above you might get a wistful smile when you read the fawning Rabbi Michael Lerner, editor of Tikkun magazine, and chair of the Network of Spiritual Progressives, as he hopefully describes the words of King Abdullah, Saudi Arabia, explaining how we must achieve religious cooperation . . .
