Dear Mr. President

I am not going to wait for someone to snitch on me. I will snitch on myself instead.

I am a middle aged white woman, a widow and mother of 2 grown daughters. I am a veteran of the US Air Force and the widow of a retired Air Force NCO.

I am the citizen who attends City Hall meetings, School Board meetings, who gets involved in working and demanding good government. I am a citizen. And I am your boss. Just like the other 300 million citizens of this great nation. And I don't like your proposed bill: H.R. 3200: America’s Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009.

While there are some good points in the bill, this proposed law does nothing to correct the problems with the Health Care Industry. It forces American citizens into a single-payer plan regardless of their rights and choices. It forces a raise on taxes to Middle Class Americans to pay for this new system. And in the end, it will lead to a system of rationed Health Care that is now in effect in Great Britain, Canada and most of Europe. A system in which the survival rates for Cancer (to use just one example) are lower than the US (the quality of medicine is the same).

This is not what the American people want or asked for.

What we want is for our existing Health Care Providers to provide the service that they are being paid for. That preexisting conditions be covered. That screening for Cancer on a yearly basis be provided. That necessary medical exams and tests be done.

No person should have to go into debt to pay for their health care if they are already paying for it through an Insurance company. And the premium costs should be regulated to insure that the average family can afford it.

For those who through their own stupidity or hubris refuse to insure themselves, then they will be forced to bear the full costs of their Health Care if they become ill. It is time that people take responsibility for their actions.

In the past Congress has been able to regulate the Health Care Industry. The passage of Newborns’ and Mothers’Health Protection Act of 1996 (NMHPA), signed by President Bill Clinton was a step in the right direction and was done with bi-partisan cooperation. Congress could do it again and such moves would improve the quality of Health Care in this country.

I suggest that during your summer vacation you sit down and actually read this bill. Then wonder why no Member of Congress will answer the question: "Would you put yourself and your family under this plan?" I ask that of you Mr. President. If not, why? And then why should I?

On a personal note.

I find your tactics in trying to pass this bill unworthy of the Leader of the Free World.

Having neighbor spy on neighbor, children spy on their parents, friends spy on friends is more the tactics of the Soviet Union (which locked up political dissenters in Psychiatric Hospitals for speaking out) or Nazi Germany (which sent political opponents to Concentration Camps).

In the United States, dissenting political speech is protected by the First Amendment in the Bill of Rights. You don't have to agree with what is said, but you cannot prevent the words from being spoken.

What your representative, and thus you said was:

"There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov."

These are the words of a dictator, not an "elected official" with a temporary position subject to the will of the people.

Thank you for your time and patience. I know that you mean well with this idea, but this bill is not the right answer. Perhaps it is time to sit down, examine the issue fully, and do it right, not do it fast.

If you need or want any more proof that the Republican Party’s fondest desire is to be rid of us Southern Conservatives - all you have to do is read the article entitled: Them Dang Southerners by Kathleen Parker. You’ll find it HERE.

I have been insulted! As a Southerner, as a conservative, I have been insulted. As dueling has been outlawed in this country now, I cannot demand satisfaction on the “field of honor,” but I CAN remove myself from amongst those who decry my presence. And THAT, I SHALL do!

I’ve said it before but for those of you new to this site, I have been a Republican since I registered to vote for the first time when I turned 21 years of age in South Carolina. I am now approaching my 7th decade on this earth and it’s a hell of a time to learn that the political party I have supported all my adult life wants me GONE!

If you are a Southerner, and you are a conservative, and you are a registered Republican, may I be so bold as to suggest that you consider going to your local board of elections and changing your registration from Republican to something else. I’d change mine to Independent but here in North Carolina, where the dems rule the state legislature, one cannot register as an Independent. One may register as Republican, Democrat, Libertarian, or “Unaffiliated.” I don’t want to be “unaffiliated!" I want to be an “Independent!”

As I am writing this, I am downloading and printing out the forms from my State Election Board to change my registration from Republican to Unaffiliated. I have had it with the disrespect shown me as a Southerner and as a conservative by the GOP.

Anyone with a gnat’s brain knows the GOP is in serious trouble. They are so out of touch with their grassroots, out here in the hinterlands, that it is almost laughable – and would be were it not so serious. For them, or some of the leaders within the party, to show the kind of disrespect for conservative republicans, especially SOUTHERN CONSERVATIVE VOTERS, is just unforgivable! It was the CONSERVATIVE voters who supported and assisted them in wrenching control of the Congress from the hands of the democrats in the mid-90’s only to have the GOP falter and fail as national leaders and eventually hand the Congress right back to the democrats in 2006.

I offer a heads-up to Republicans who have, as yet, not sipped form the cup of reality: You are going to lose again in 2010 - and - Obama will be returned to office for a second term in 2012!


I have no crystal ball. What I DO have is a functioning brain and a good grasp on how to use common sense.

Speaking as a Southerner now, I have been insulted by my political party for the last time. Their recent insults have given me a new appreciation for the dept of the acerbic feelings my Southern/Confederate ancestors had for those they referred to as “Carpet Baggers.”

To my fellow Southerners, especially my fellow conservative Southerners, may I be so bold as to suggest to you that you, too, have been insulted as has your Southern ancestry. Will your honor allow this insult to pass? Honor, Sir, and Madam, demands that you defend her!

We southerners have been challenged. As much as it pains me to say it – it would seem that modern day carpetbaggers from the GOP are again amongst us. This time they are not stealing our land and our possessions, they are taking our votes and our support and then wiping their feet on us as they would a doormat.

I am a Southerner FIRST before I am (actually WAS) a Republican. My family, my ancestry, comes first before ANY political party. As a Southerner I understand the meaning of, and the value of, HONOR! I understand that honor forbids the taking of anything under false pretenses. Unfortunately some within the GOP seem to think taking our Southern votes, money, support, and loyalty, while making crude jokes about our manner of speech, and our customs, and our adherence to our religious faith, is an honorable thing to do. It is not. In fact, it is just the opposite.

If you are a Southern Conservative and you are still clinging to the GOP, I implore you… get OUT! Find yourself a conservative political organization that truly appreciates what you can bring to the table - not just for the conservative movement but also for the country. You have no excuse for remaining where you are not wanted. The GOP PLAINLY DOES NOT WANT SOUTHERN CONSERVATIVES. This Southern Conservative is done with the Republican Party!

The White House and their frightened followers on the left would have America believe that ObamaCare isn't facing a dismal collapse in Congress, and that all the angry folks showing up at Town Hall meetings are just part of a manufactured "astro turf" plot hatched by the RNC.

Caleb Howe and Eric Odom have started a new Facebook group, The Peoples Mob, and it's growing very rapidly.

The Democrat National Committee, far left bloggers, lobbyist and special interest groups have all gone on the attack over authentic American dissent. Apparently, these groups are not happy about the fact that the entire country doesn't agree with them.
If advocating free speech, peaceful dissent, individual liberty and fiscal responsibility makes us a mob... we'll take the label.

Driver’s License Preferred Over DNA ?

Driver’s License preferred over DNA in Doc’s Office?

Earlier this week I went in for a doctor’s appointment. This was a regularly scheduled visit I must make every 4 to 6 weeks. I have been availing myself of this doctor’s services since the late 1960’s. But - on this visit, as I weighed-in and signed-in, I was asked to produce my drivers license!

I was stunned, frankly! I had not expected this. Being one of the old mossbacks who believes that “the less government the better” is the ONLY way, I protested vigorously, loudly, and profusely - and, I am somewhat embarrassed to say, used some language I learned in the military and haven’t used since those long ago days - before I remembered I am a Southern Gentleman, and got hold of myself.

I inquired of the receptionist what could a driver’s license possibly have that my DNA, which, I assume, they already have on file, didn’t have? Taken aback at my – ahem - robust defense of my privacy, the receptionist hastily assured me she didn’t make the rules. It was, she said, a new HIPA ruling and there was nothing she could do about it.

In the event you do not know what the letters H I P A stand for - it is the Health Information Privacy Act of 1999 . You should be able to click on the name and go right to a site that will provide you with some info on it. If not, then clicking on this one should: Health Information Protection Act .

As I said, I realize I am an old mossback about such things as the government, or anyone, for that matter knowing entirely too much about me.

I am a private person. I like it that way. I am extremely uncomfortable with social networking sites. That is why you do not see me on those sites. I also realize we have, at least, one generation that grew up on computers and have no problem with laying their whole lives out, on the net, for one and all to see and snoop around in. Believe me when I tell you - I AM NOT WIRED THAT WAY!

I could not help but compare the HIPA rules with what I expect to be a morass of rules and regulations when ObamaCare is eventually installed nationwide… if we don’t kill it while it is yet aborning!

Less than 20 minutes before this encounter I had been sitting here, at the keyboard, working on a piece about socialized medicine in the US and how it is, in my opinion, a government power-grab at the cost of not only our money, as taxpayers, but our privacy as well. In the space of only a few minutes I had been thrust into the dreaded government-run healthcare system I had just been opining about in my commentary, which was still, at that moment, under construction! It was as if I had entered the “Twilight Zone!”

The confrontation between the receptionist and myself lasted only a few minutes and I never got an answer as to what a NC Driver’s License had that my DNA, which they already had on file, did not have! I was still fuming as I drove home. It was during that short commute that it became clear. A photograph. My DNA did not have a photograph. My NC Driver’s License does. It was a photo ID they were after, preferably a “likeness” that my state certified was, in fact, me.

You can imagine, I suppose, how much disdain I am going to have for government-run healthcare… ObamaCare.

A few days ago I was aghast at an article in one of my regional newspapers, which stated that the “wait time” at the ER room (Emergency Department) of a regional hospital near me was - 12 hours. I had to fuss and fume at least one full day about that until, until, I read that, in Canada, the AVERAGE waiting time, in any Emergency Department in the country is - 23 HOURS! Oh, yes! And Canada has the much-vaunted nationalized healthcare, or as we refer to it - socialized medicine.

A few years ago, I had the fortune, good or bad, to be cared for by an RN from Canada during one of my nearly 70 hospitalizations The hospital was experiencing some personnel difficulties and had made arrangements with some nurses, registered and otherwise, from Canada. At shift change, the RN came around an introduced herself and we struck up a light conversation. She mentioned that she was from Canada. It was then that I asked her for her opinion of Canada’s socialized medicine now that she had worked in the American healthcare system. Her reply was – to quote: “IT SUCKS!” She made this remark about the healthcare system of her own country, one in which she, as a registered nurse, was employed! That settled it for me.

Recently, John Stossel exposed the flaws in the Canadian and British government-run health care systems. There is an excellent article on that report
HERE. We recommend you take a couple (or three) minutes and read it.

We Americans are told time and time again that the healthcare system in America is broken and ObamaCare is the way to fix it. Well, as the Congress and the Obama Administration are learning, much to their chagrin, the American people are not convinced that our healthcare system is broken. We have a “For Profit” system. That means the costs for healthcare will be high. We know that. It is profit driven. Much of that profit goes right back into research and development of new drugs and new treatments and new equipment to be used in those treatments in conjunction with those new drugs. We are, at least, we WERE a capitalist nation, before Obama. Healthcare delivery in America is a business and businesses must make a profit for its owners and shareholders else it goes out of business. NOBODY IS IN BUSINESS TO DO YOU AND I A FAVOR! They are in business to make money! Not to put to o fine a point on it, but - I say again - Healthcare Delivery in America is a business! Without the “profit motive” all those wonderful lifesaving devices, and drugs, and treatments would not exist. I know that is not “a warm and fuzzy thing” to say, but it is the truth and the truth is rarely warm and certainly not fuzzy!

ObamaCare has no “Profit Motive.” It will be a government-run healthcare delivery system. YOU will be little more than a number. In all likelihood, the medical equipment used in your treatment will come from the “low bidder.” Chances are - the drugs used in your treatment will come from the pharmaceutical company offering them to the government at the lowest price. As my sainted mother used to say: “You get what you pay for!”

ObamaCare is NOT the answer. If there is a problem it is with the 46 or 47 million uninsured in America. First, determine whom, exactly, those people are. Determine why they have no insurance. If they don’t want it, then leave them ALONE! If they are illegal aliens, then cross them off the list - entirely. They never should have been included in the first place! Now wee are down to those If there is truly a healthcare problem in America, that is it. And with that “fixed,” the healthcare problem in America is solved.

Sen. John Cornyn Attacks Obama's Enemies List

Sen. Cornyn Calls On White House To Immediately Stop Compiling Political Enemies List

Sends letter to President Obama expressing grave concern over new White House program to monitor speech of American citizens’ with opposing political views

WASHINGTON—In a letter to President Obama, U.S. Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, expressed serious concern about the White House’s new program requesting Americans to forward email chains and other communications opposing the President’s health care policies. Sen. Cornyn is seeking assurances that the program is being carried out in a manner consistent with the First Amendment and America’s tradition of free speech and public discourse.

Sen. Cornyn’s letter also inquires about the collection of names, email addresses, IP addresses, and private speech of U.S. citizens that will be reported, which raises the specter of a data collection program.

“I am not aware of any precedent for a President asking American citizens to report their fellow citizens to the White House for pure political speech that is deemed ‘fishy’ or otherwise inimical to the White House’s political interests,” Sen. Cornyn wrote. “You should not be surprised that these actions taken by your White House staff raise the specter of a data collection program.  As Congress debates health care reform and other critical policy matters, citizen engagement must not be chilled by fear of government monitoring the exercise of free speech rights.”

Dear President Obama,

I write to express my concern about a new White House program to monitor American citizens’ speech opposing your health care policies, and to seek your assurances that this program is being carried out in a manner consistent with the First Amendment and America’s tradition of free speech and public discourse.

Yesterday, in an official White House release entitled “Facts are Stubborn Things,” the White House Director of New Media, Macon Phillips, asserted that there was “a lot of disinformation out there,” and encouraged citizens to report “fishy” speech opposing your health care policies to the White House.  Phillips specifically targeted private, unpublished, even casual speech, writing that “rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation.”  Phillips wrote “If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov.”

I am not aware of any precedent for a President asking American citizens to report their fellow citizens to the White House for pure political speech that is deemed “fishy” or otherwise inimical to the White House’s political interests. 

By requesting that citizens send “fishy” emails to the White House, it is inevitable that the names, email addresses, IP addresses, and private speech of U.S. citizens will be reported to the White House.  You should not be surprised that these actions taken by your White House staff raise the specter of a data collection program.  As Congress debates health care reform and other critical policy matters, citizen engagement must not be chilled by fear of government monitoring the exercise of free speech rights.

I can only imagine the level of justifiable outrage had your predecessor asked Americans to forward emails critical of his policies to the White House.  I suspect that you would have been leading the charge in condemning such a program—and I would have been at your side denouncing such heavy-handed government action.

So I urge you to cease this program immediately.  At the very least, I request that you detail to Congress and the public the protocols that your White House is following to purge the names, email addresses, IP addresses, and identities of citizens who are reported to have engaged in “fishy” speech.  And I respectfully request an answer to the following:

· How do you intend to use the names, email addresses, IP addresses, and identities of citizens who are reported to have engaged in “fishy” speech?

· How do you intend to notify citizens who have been reported for “fishy” speech?

· What action do you intend to take against citizens who have been reported for engaging in “fishy” speech?

· Do your own past statements qualify as “disinformation”?  For example, is it “disinformation” to note that in 2003 you said: “I happen to be a proponent of a single-payer universal health care plan”?

I look forward to your prompt response.

I'll Snitch Myself Out-Letter to Flag@Whitehouse.gov

This is a copy of the letter I sent to the snitch line at the White House:
Rather than rely on a telescreen as envisioned by George Orwell in his groundbreaking tome 1984, or wait for the Obama Youth Corps as currently being funded in New York under Mayor Bloomberg (a la the Nazi Youth Corps and here), I'll "snitch" myself out.

I blog as Miss Beth at Miss Beth's Victory Dance (http://missbethsvictorydance.blogspot.com/). I'm a 48 year old white female, single mom who works for a living and my children are mulatto. In short, they have more black blood in them than BHO.

First and foremost, don't even try to pull the race card on me.
I disagree with Comrade obama on many, MANY levels of his policies, not least of which is his farce of health care "reform". This is not reform but a systematic takeover of yet another industry not mandated by our Constitution. You know, the document Comrade obama is intent upon destroying? The document Comrade obama CLAIMS to have been so knowledgeable of to the point of being able to teach? Yeah, that Constitution.

I object to the nationalization of the banks, the car industry, the bail outs and the robbery at gunpoint of my tax dollars. I object to the "spread the wealth" mentality of this racist in the White House. I object to Comrade obama bowing to the Saudi king while he sells out America. I object to the appeasement of the muslim community, which has stated unequivocally its desire to destroy us. I object to the 42 "czars" who answer to no one but Comrade obama. I object to the constant apologizing for America when he should be defending her. I object to selling out our allies while embracing our enemies. I object to the Neville Chamberlain approach. I object to my tax dollars being used for photo opportunities such as flyovers of New York City. I object to my tax dollars being used for his date nights. I object to the caliber of the company he keeps, such as William Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, Rev. Pflegler, Skip Gates, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. I object to Comrade obama making racist comments about situations he knows nothing about a la Sgt. Crowley. I object to Comrade obama stripping our military of weapons and strategic military devices. I object to Comrade obama turning everything into a photo op instead of keeping his skinny butt in a chair and doing his job.

I object to Comrade obama's disrespect for life at all stages, particularly the Infant Born Alive Protection Act and his current fetish for "end of life" counseling in his alleged reform bill. I object to Comrade obama's attempt to shove this travesty of healthcare down my throat when he hasn't performed his own due diligence and read the bill while simply using it as a popularity platform. I object to the insane amount of pork Comrade obama has already forced onto future generations through his smoke and mirrors. I object to Comrade obama's quadrupling the national budget in 6 months--the highest budget in history.

I object to Comrade obama. I didn't vote for him and I never will. I'm a proud supporter of the tea parties. I'm a fervent supporter of individual rights and I will not become one of your brainwashed sheeple, lapping up the pablum being dropped among the masses by a stuporous, lazy media who refuses to pull the curtain back on the false wizard, showing this emperor wanna be to indeed have no clothes--to mix stories.

I object to the farce of anthropogenic global warming and the further rape of American's wallets by a non-existent crisis. The earth goes in cycles--learn your geology (particularly your paleo-geology) and quit telling me what light bulbs I can use. I object to being taxed repeatedly because I smoke. Most of us smokers will simply quit and that will put the tobacco companies (and their workers) out of business and end your "honey pot" of money coming in. The Constitution doesn't provide for you, Comrade obama, to institute a "sin tax" on me.

I will cling to my GOD (who, by the way IS NOT COMRADE obama), my guns and my change. I will make my OWN hope and not rely on a nanny state to provide it to me, telling me when I can live, when I can die, and what kind of quality of life I can have. And I will call for my fellow conservatives to protest, without violence, at every turn and every chance they get, just as the sheeple have been doing since time immemorial--although the sheeple have shown extreme violence toward dissenting opinions and no respect at all for rule of law.

I will continue to use facts and logic in the face of emotionalism. I will continue to point out today's liberals, Comrade obama chief among them, are themselves the liars, the hypocrites, the racists, the double standard holders, the two faced Janus', big government monkeys on my back they are. I will continue to work for a living, against all odds, in this travesty of an economy foisted upon us by a Marxist wanna be commander in chief who doesn't have the balls to produce proof of his eligibility to hold office under our cherished Constitution but who is arrogant enough to demand such proof of his opposition (who promptly produced it). I will continue to point out the misogynistic, narcissistic tendencies of an arrested child who can't handle a job he most certainly is not qualified to hold. A child who can't string together a simple sentence without a teleprompter. A child who feels he must stifle all opposition because the opposition sees through the smoke and mirrors.

And I will claim my actions are consistent with my cherished right to freedom of speech under the First Amendment of the Constitution.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, we are now exhorted, by the White House itself, to "snitch" on our neighbors and friends who disagree with the travesty known loosely as Obamacare. A direct quote:

One last question--if this farce called obamacare is so great, why don't I see you, Comrade obama, being the first to sign yourself and your family up for it--and insisting the rest of Congress do the same? Why? Because it's not great, it's not even good. You would reserve the best health care for yourself.

It has been shown, repeatedly, in other countries, your idea is a dead horse. Quit beating it. Otherwise, be prepared for a lot of backlash from true Americans who DO believe in the Constitution, to be aimed at you and your lackies. And we vote. Waxman-Markey cap-and-trade bill an important topic at the Coal Summit

Someone said that the country is never in greater danger than when Congress is in session. Perhaps the converse is also true: the country is relatively safe when Congress is on vacation.

So the American people can breathe a sigh of relief if the traditional August recess is observed and members head home to check in with voters. While there, they will undoubtedly get an earful of the stuff they have been told in opinion polls, but have ignored. Recent news reports show this process is already taking place in town hall meetings.

The health care reform bill and the cap-and-trade bill now working their way through the Congress are the most dangerous legislative measures in memory. Alone, either of them spells big trouble, together, they spell catastrophe.

Are we about to see the greatest country in the world – the country with the greatest degree of personal freedom; the country established in opposition to the heavy hand of government; the country that has been the leader of the world for so many years – be transformed into a nation just like all of those that have followed along behind us, just one more nation that depends upon government to solve all its problems?

The odious Waxman-Markey cap-and-trade bill has as its underlying goal to move the US from burning pollution producing fossil fuels for their energy needs to a nation using non-polluting, renewable energy. Few will argue that we should not integrate “green” energy as soon as it’s practical. But we can’t do that for many years, because neither the nation’s infrastructure nor the technologies themselves are ready, and what’s more important, the environmental situation does not require measures nearly so drastic as the cap-and-trade bill will impose. Forcing this transformation will cause serious damage to our economy and our way of life.

Yet that is the goal of the energy initiative being pushed by the administration and the Congress, led by Waxman-Markey, and that was the focus of the Coal Summit held last week in the midst of the two Virginia’s coal country.

The economy of West Virginia and the southwest region of Virginia rely heavily on coal, with thousands of jobs depending upon the industry, either directly or indirectly.

Myron Ebell is Director of Energy and Global Warming Policy at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, and was one of the speakers at the Coal Summit. He reminded the audience of the realities of the US energy industry: eighty-five percent of its energy comes from coal, oil and natural gas; 50 percent of its electricity comes from coal, 20 percent from gas; and virtually all its transportation fuels come from petroleum.

Waxman-Markey requires that the US reduce its fossil fuel emissions by 17 percent below 2005 levels by the year 2020, and continue reductions so that by 2050 emissions will be just 83 percent of 2005 levels, he said.

Yet again liberals are mired in stage-one thinking, consumed by ideology and ignoring the practical obstacles that make what they want to do impossible in the short term, and difficult in the longer term.

One of those obstacles is the fact that alternatives aren’t close to being ready to supplant fossil fuels, and another is the spectacular inefficiencies of government. Mr. Ebell referred to news accounts of how surprised solar project backers have been at the delays in getting their project through the permitting process. Even projects that have the government’s blessing can’t move through the bureaucracy without encountering crippling amounts of red tape, one more reason to seriously doubt government’s ability to create workable solutions.

The current regulatory environment makes it difficult for coal companies to keep up with demand, he told the audience, and if it were not for the recession, with demand down as one result, parts of the US would be experiencing blackouts this summer. “That’s because the policies that created California’s blackouts are being exported to the rest of the country, and the culmination of that is the Waxman-Markey bill,” he said. One of the bill’s sponsors, Henry Waxman, is from Beverly Hills, and chairs the Energy and Commerce Committee, and the chair of the Environment and Public Works Committee, Barbara Boxer, is from Marin County. “They are exporting the policies that made California bankrupt to the rest of us.”

He painted a picture of attempts by the bill’s supporters to patch up the flaws and make deals to counter objections to the bill so that reluctant Congressmen would support it. He believes that Virginia 9th District Congressman Rick Boucher was involved in such a deal. The result is that instead of just the original bad bill, we now have a bad bill with pieces dangling from it held on with chewing gum and bailing wire.

Under the best of circumstances, energy prices and the price of everything associated with them will rise, and that will affect every American. Under the worst of circumstances we will experience economic catastrophe. “I don’t think the economy or coal can survive” this bill, Mr. Ebell said. Waxman-Markey cannot be successfully amended, he said, it must be defeated.

Each of us should contact our Representative and Senators, and tell them to vote down this bill.

We have roughly 30 days to kill socialized medicine in the United States. The ObamaCare enthusiasts are pulling out all the stops, during the month of August to push whatever their healthcare overhaul FINALLY turns out to be.

You see, even the Obama Administration and the democrats on Capitol Hill have NO IDEA, at this point, exactly what their “healthcare” bill will include and what it will exclude. They have been jumping around all over the healthcare map, like fleas on a hotplate, trying, desperately, to come up with something, anything; the American people will swallow hard and accept. Problem is… the American people simply don’t want what they are selling! But the democrats are frightened, witless, that their new president is about to get his first “slap-down” by the electorate and the democrat/socialists are desperate to prevent that. If ObamaCare can be stopped, it will be a great victory for Amereicans who want no part of socialized medicine in the United States… plus it would be a tremendous embarrassment for Obama. Even Republican Congressman Jim DeMint, of South Carolina, claims it could be Obama’s Waterloo! Now, that IS embarrassing!

To make matters decidedly more difficult for the ObamaCare crowd, Rasmussen released a story on Monday (08-03-09) that made some folks in DC sit up and take notice. The report (out 08-03-09) says Confidence in the U.S. Health Care System Has Grown in Recent Months.

Rasmussen says that forty-eight percent (48%) of U.S. voters now rate the U.S. health care system as good or excellent. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows that just 19% rate it as poor. These figures reflect a significant increase in support for the health care system over the past few months. In May, just 35% of adults nationwide rated the system as good or excellent. A year ago, just 29% of Likely Voters rated the system in such positive terms.

And check this: The new polling also shows that 80% of those with insurance rate their own coverage as good or excellent. That’s up from 70% in May. You’ll find the entire eye-opening article HERE.

The democrats absolutely must get something through the Congress the President can lay claim to as the HIS Healthcare plan, even if it bears no resemblance to the glorified “pie-in-the-sky” healthcare, or Government-Run Healthcare, or Universal Healthcare, or Nationalized Healthcare, or Public Option Healthcare, or whatever they are calling it today. For our part- we are still referring to it as ObamaCare, or Socialized Medicine.

So, the plain truth is – neither Obama or his henchman on Capitol Hill have any idea what will be in the bill when they finally manage to scrape something together they can get enough votes in both the House of Representatives and the Senate to pass and send to the President for his signature.

Now, here’s the thing: During the next month, or so, primarily August, they will be back home back-slapping and glad-handing and trying, like crazy, to get you to support a bill the contents of which they haven’t a clue! In other words, the democrats and Obama are now at the point in their Socialized Medicine threat of trying to sell America what we in the Carolinas would refer to as a “Pig-in-a-Poke”. Interpreted that means simply, you can tell something is in the bag, but you have no idea what it is. It could be a pig or a polecat! And… you don’t get to find out which it is - until after you buy the bag!

Get ready for the letters, the phone calls, and the knocks on the door, the TV and radio ads, and the columns and articles in the newspapers and, of course on the Internet boosting ObamaCare during the month of August because they are going to be pouring it on.

If we are to kill this socialized medicine, we are going to have to meet them blow for blow. We have to tell our Congresspersons and our senators that if they are so weak as to vote for ObamaCare they can forget about our vote next time they stand for re-election. Help them understand they can expect an early retirement from the nation’s legislature.

You must remember that, first and foremost, the Obama Administration is going to force you to have health insurance, whether you want it or not. It is called the “Individual Mandate.” Yes, dear reader, this bill will affect EVERY American, healthy or sick, young or old. It will make no difference.

The State of the Union ...(wait teleprompter is slow)

Economy: Is GREAT! We haven’t let a single CRISIS go to waste at all. We are having a ball now having spent on ONE sector, my dear friends in banking, the entire GROSS NATIONAL PRODUCT FOR ONE ENTIRE YEAR OF ALL AMERICANS. And so far, what we have to show for it...some great campaign contributions for me and my friends and Americans MAD at rich people. From there, I bought an auto industry, an insurance company, I'm working on drug companies and health care now as we speak with spending approaching another 2 - 3 trillion or more dollars (at least that is the start, it is hard to measure these things and I don’t want anyone getting any ideas). Oh, hold on can’t forget my energy bill. My good friend Al Gore, well, can’t let a good news item like shrinking ice sheets go to waste. So now I get to dictate terms to big OIL. My new FDA chief is so busy denying drugs and talking about all of these OTHER studies, I am about to have big Pharma in my pocket too. With Stimulus money I control the states, and even the construction companies in those states by making them conform to FEDERAL guidelines.

As for the strength of our union, I have managed to weaken it to a new breaking point. I have pitted race against race, I have hope pitted against fear, and I have managed to blame the entire thing on George Bush even to the point we might get criminal charges against someone who DOESN'T agree with me because I don’t like that Dick Cheney or Bush (John Tyler and Andrew Jackson, were thinking about coming after you again too). I have managed to express my views as a racist, my belief that America is a bad name in foreign countries and therefore we must subjugate ourselves to other countries, and even go overseas and talk about being Muslim. I am more than willing to pass mindless treaties, bow to some foreign leaders, and even insult my allies. I have the Hispanics in an uproar because I am picking controversial completely liberal MINORITIES, in my best political bet that if you do not vote for them, then you must be a racist. And even if you dodged that bullet (oh, I'm working on collecting those too), I then have Hispanics telling politicians, “There will be repercussions.” All this racism and NO ONE can say anything!!! Yea me! Oh, and we won’t apologize for slavery until we make it so that minorities can sue the government. If we attempt to put in any other language, my dear friends at the Black Caucus just won’t accept the bill. An apology isn't good enough, the tax payers MUST pay.

As for everything else going on, we are busy working on getting rid of those pesky old people, unless they are illegal or poor. Then it is OK, and we’ll treat them. We will decide who gets care, when they get it, and well blame Bush and the Republicans for getting us into this mess to begin with (Churchill was mostly right, if you are not a conservative by 40 then you are stupid). We know where they vote, time to thin the ranks.

Overall, I get great press and I look good. I get to blame Bush for everything, and while the media is in love with me, I basically can shove a 1000 page bill down the nation’s throat and tell them that without it, the sky will fall. Best part, THEY believe me! Except that pesky Fox news and I am working on that one. No more of this freedom of speech thing. Time to get rid of those folks that disagree, so instead of any debate where logic can rule, there will only be me. Free speech will only be allowed when it supports me. My campaign supporters will see to that, just like my friend Mel Simon. He will keep those people out of his 336 malls for me. As long as mine is the only nationwide message, we will be fine since my new friends at the media love to listen to me and do not ask any real questions that Rham didn’t approve. My friends at the FCC are working on that part. Once mine is the only message, where will they get news??? Yea me! And the BEST part, my FCC chair is doing this in the name of competition… Oh that tickles me to no end.

Guns... oh yea. We’ll get bullets first, then the usual suspects, assault rifles etc., and just like everything else, rather than look at what the facts say... we’ll trot out little Johnny who was the VICTIM of gun violence.(just like the health care, energy and all other reforms I am doing). I’ll make it an emotional issue, talk about how CRITICAL it is, pull your heart strings and then BAM, jam this baby home, quick before someone sees any facts or how incredibly stupid my solution is. Like the fact that the criminals have already said they do not get their guns at gun shows…that if we don’t have them, it won’t stop them…or the history of countries with gun control.

Oh yea, TAX the middle class too.... not just the rich.

I have decided that we no longer really need three branches of government. Rather, my 49+ Czars in conjunction with my friends in AmeriCorps and ACORN are going to run things. This checks and balances part, well that just won’t work for me. Rather, I need people that report only to me, are not vetted at all, no silly little congressional hearings or approvals, just me and my good friends. Heck, even Dick didn’t figure this one out! My Czars don’t even have to appear in Congress to testify. Since many of my cabinet members keep forgetting to pay taxes, and cause other kinds of problems, this is much better. Take my Science Czar for example; he’s such a great guy. He believes in "involuntary fertility control" and that newborn babies aren’t even really human beings yet. I never had to answer ONE question about who he was, and why he was in some position of power in my government. He reports directly to me and if I don’t like him... well I get rid of him. Besides, how else can I reward my dearest friends?

One more thing, to ensure that NO ONE can undo what I have wrought (not that I think that I am God, but perhaps the next prophet after Mohammad), I am going to re work the census and hand off some of the biggest deficits to ANYONE who comes after me. I might even get another shot at being President... it is two terms in a row isn't it? Besides, if they can’t prove I am even a citizen, what’s in a pesky interpretation? I can just skip a year, maybe let Hillary step into the mess I created and then I can come back and fix it again! What fun times rigging elections with my friends at ACORN.

So, I see the State of the Union as just about perfect, with only a few more steps... And then it will become MY America. One of racial division, one of class division, and after we are done all of the comrades will be happy in my Utopia (that I have wrought) where myself and the other elite intellectuals will tell you from on high (my new home will be called Olympus) what you can do, what you will do, what you should do, and WE WILL hand out punishments.

The ancient Roman emperors used to declare themselves gods. In modern day America the Mainstream Media has assumed the task of labeling whom THEY choose as gods. They have chosen America's first half white and half black President, Barack Hussein Obama, as a god. Occasionally they come very close to exchanging the small "g" for a large "G.” Frankly, of late, it has begun to trip my "gag" reflex.

Back during the campaign, I mentioned, a couple of times, maybe more, but then, whose counting, that I was frightened by the demeanor of the crowds who waited upon Obama and who cheered Obama and who fainted in his presence, and so forth, and so on. I also mentioned that I had not seen the looks on the faces of the people in the Obama crowds since the old movie newsreels showing the faces in the crowds who cheered Adolph Hitler. (You can, occasionally, still see that footage on history programs on TV.) The maniacal countenance shared by so many in Hitler’s crowds matched, to a tee, the crazed looks upon the faces of many of those people waiting upon Obama. It was, and still is, truly frightening. That fear struck a primal cord… a cord, which gave me to understand that that crowd, was only a hair’s breadth away from being a mob. Add to that the crowds of journalistic professionals we entrust with the dispensation of information, the Media, and their slavish worship of the divine Mr. “O,” and you have the formula for the self-destruction of an entire country. Over the past six months, as I have experienced my country coming apart right before my eyes, I have observed and listened, sometimes with fascination, to the propaganda from the mainstream media as they attempted to convince me that all my concern about Mr. Obama sprang from my personal paranoia. Until, that is I read An Open Letter to President Obama by Lou Pritchett. In his letter, Mr. Pritchett gives form to all those things about Obama that concern me and an assurance that my generation, at least, has not been taken in by the assumption of Obama’s divinity by the Mainstream Media and, I have come to suspect, the same assumption by Mr. Obama, himself. You’ll find Mr. Pritchett’s letter at the American Family Association Online HERE. We urge you to read Mr. Pritchett's letter before continuing with this article.

Mr. Pritchett has put into words the fears and concerns of many Americans. That is what makes his letter to the President so important.

Then there is the question of Mr. Obama’s Narcissism. There is an excellent article titled “Obama’s Narcissism” which you will find HERE.

The question of Mr. Obama’s divinity will be left to the discernment of the individual American. Remarkably little intellect is required to make that determination. Until fairly recent years that fact would not have been cause for concern. But assessing America’s judgment calls in the past two elections, one certainly has cause for concern and, yes, even frustration. The malignant power of ignorance was clearly demonstrated in the results of both those plebiscites. How else to explain the end result of a government ruled by Pelosi, Reid, and Obama?

No, in the opinion of this humble scribe, Mr. Obama is not divine. He is, I believe, a socialist. As his days in office increase more and more evidence of his socialism will increase, as well. Eventually, Mr. Obama’s socialism will become undeniable even by the sycophantic press.

The anomaly that is the Obama Presidency will cost America dearly. In fact, the bill has already, in part, come due - payable upon demand and demand has been made. Our grandchildren and great-grandchildren will be paying those bills. Our economy is in shambles. The national unemployment figure is approaching ten percent. Our military is being pulled out of Iraq, which is already showing signs of a willingness to revert to another strongman dictator style government as soon as the last US troops lift off Iraqi soil. At the same time, US troops are being deployed into Afghanistan to fight a war that cannot be won with a people who cannot be governed.

As one stands back and looks objectively at the condition America finds herself in today, one could think of a number of ways to describe her leader. Divine is certainly not one of them.

And it came to pass in the Age of Insanity that the people of the land called America, having lost their morals, their initiative, and their will to defend their liberties, chose as their Supreme Leader that person known as "The One".

He emerged from the vapors with a message that had no meaning; but He hypnotized the people telling them, "I am sent to save you. My lack of experience, my questionable ethics, my monstrous ego, and my association with evil doers are of no consequence. For I shall save you with Hope and Change.

Go, therefore, and proclaim throughout the land that he who preceded me is evil, that he has defiled the nation, and that all he has built must be destroyed."
And the people rejoiced, for even though they knew not what "The One" would do, He had promised that it was good; and they believed.

And "The One" said "We live in the greatest country in the world. Help me change everything about it!" And the people said, "Hallelujah! Change is good!"

Then He said, "We are going to tax the rich fat-cats."
And the people said "Sock it to them!"

"And redistribute their wealth."
And the people said, "Show us the money!"

And then He said, "Redistribution of wealth is good for everybody"

And Joe the plumber asked, "Are you kidding me? You're going to steal my money and give it to the deadbeats??"
And "The One" ridiculed and taunted him, and Joe's personal records were hacked and publicized.

One lone reporter asked, "Isn't that Marxist policy?"
And she was banished from the kingdom!

Then a citizen asked, "With no foreign relations experience and having zero military experience or knowledge, how will you deal with radical terrorists?"

And "The One" said, "Simple. I shall sit with them and talk with them and show them how nice we really are; and they will forget that they ever wanted to kill us all!"

And the people said, "Hallelujah!! We are safe at last, and we can beat our weapons into free cars for the people!"

Then "The One" said, "I shall give 95% of you lower taxes."

And one, lone voice said, "But 40% of us don't pay ANY taxes."

So "The One" said, "Then I shall give you some of the taxes the fat-cats pay!"

And the people said, "Hallelujah!! Show us the money!"

Then "The One" said, "I shall tax your Capital Gains when you sell your homes!"

And the people yawned and the slumping housing market collapsed.

And He said, "I shall mandate employer- funded health care for EVERY worker and raise the minimum wage. And I shall give every person unlimited healthcare and medicine and transportation to the clinics."

And the people said, "Give me some of that!"

Then He said, "I shall penalize employers who ship jobs overseas."

And the people said, "Where's my rebate check?"

Then "The One" said, "I shall bankrupt the coal industry and electricity rates will skyrocket!"

And the people said, "Coal is dirty, coal is evil, no more coal! But we don't care for that part about higher electric rates."

So "The One" said, "Not to worry. If your rebate isn't enough to cover your expenses, we shall bail you out. Just sign up with ACORN and your troubles are over!"

Then He said, "Illegal immigrants feel scorned and slighted. Let's grant them amnesty, Social Security, free education, free lunches, free medical care, bi-lingual signs and guaranteed housing..."

And the people said, "Hallelujah!!" And they made him King!

And so it came to pass that employers, facing spiraling costs and ever-higher taxes, raised their prices and laid off workers. Others simply gave up and went out of
business and the economy sank like unto a rock dropped from a cliff. The banking industry was destroyed. Manufacturing slowed to a crawl. And more of the people were without a means of support.

Then "The One" said, "I am the "The One" - The Messiah - and I'm here to save you! We shall just print more money so everyone will have enough!"

But our foreign trading partners said unto Him, "Wait a minute. Your dollar is not worth a pile of camel dung! You will have to pay more..."

And the people said, "Wait a minute. That is unfair!!"

And the world said, "Neither are these other idiotic programs you have embraced. Lo, you have become a Socialist state and a second-rate power. Now you shall play by our rules!"

And the people cried out, "Alas, alas!! What have wedone?"

But yea verily, it was too late. The people set upon "The One" and spat upon him and stoned him, and his name was dung. And the once mighty nation was
no more; and the once proud people were without sustenance or shelter or hope. And the Change "The One" had given them was as like unto a poison that had destroyed them and like a whirlwind that consumed all that they had built.

And the people beat their chests in despair and cried out in anguish, "Give us back our nation and our pride and our hope!!" But it was too late, and their homeland was no more.

You may think this is a fairy tale, but it's not.
