Missive To The Faithful

By Findalis

Book of Obama Chapter 16

In the city of Charlotte, in the great state of North Carolina, He came to accept once again the nomination of the party of Donkeys.  The assembled multitude screamed about the War on Women the Republicans were waging.  They screamed about the babies that were being born and girls forced to carry them.  They screamed about the evil  corporations.  Then He assented to the stage.

I am entitled to your acclaim, your adoration.
I am your Messiah, your Anointed One.
I am your God.  The decider of life and death.

We are the Good Guys, the wearers of the White Hats.
They are the Bad Guys, the wearers of the Black Hats.
It is a choice of Good vs. Evil.

We must all work together.  In equality, everyone pulling their own weight.
We will take the wealth from the rich, spread it around and everyone will be rich.
We will bring peace to the world, I will force peace on the Middle East.
I will cut the line that will divide Jerusalem*, It will be a good thing.

I salute our military men and women.  You love Me greater than you love others.
I killed bin Ladin and other members of al Qaeda.  It was done by Myself and none other.
The wounded men and women of the military I visited are now all healed.

It is through My grace, My pleasure that this nation thrives.
I have brought this nation out of depression and into economic prosperity.
I will continue to do so as long as I am your Messiah, your God.

When I am returned to this office I will make the dream of the Alinsky come true.
The Marx, the Hegel will guide Me.  Lenin, Trotsky will be pleased with My work.
We will all be one with the Government, which all powers come from.

The assembled multitude cheered and screamed:
That's Our Messiah!
But it fell flat.  The magic of 4 years ago had gone away.
The people shook their heads,  "Do we really want to use Unicorn Farts and Pixie Dust?"
The speech given by Biden the Fool, the man with Foot-in-Mouth disease was a greater speech than the Anointed One's.   But Biden the Fool is not the man whom the Media exclaim the Messiah.

The confetti fell but no balloons.
The Anointed One, His wife and their girls waved to the crowd.
But the people of the land were not impressed.  They did not stir to his banner.
In the end, The Anointed One will be hard pressed to win in November.

claims the same.  The Department of State still refuses to name Israel's capital and now prefers to call it Tel Aviv.

Bye-bye Vice President Biden?

By Findalis of Monkey in the Middle

That is the speculation and prediction of Liz Peek.

Joe Biden has been a liability to the Obama Administration Regime since he was put on the ticket in 2008.  It seems the Vice President has Foot-in-Mouth Disease.  He opens his mouth and inserts his foot.  He has become an embarrassment and a political liability to this regime. Therefore he must go!

Ms. Peek predicts that Obama will cut loose Joe Biden in favor of Hillary Clinton.
Here’s a prediction: the Obama administration will bounce Joe Biden off the 2012 ticket, and invite Hillary Clinton to run in his stead.

The move will aim to bolster Obama’s standing and provide some excitement among core Democrats – something that Biden fails to provide. Hillary will agree, because just four years later she will be superbly positioned to run for president – ever the rainbow on her personal horizon.

At present, her polls are high, with 58% of voters viewing her at least somewhat favorably.

Wistful Dems who wonder these days what could have been will tout her hard work and pragmatic diplomacy as she chases one impossible Obama pipe dream after another to all corners of the globe.

Certain wishful Dems are hoping she will challenge Obama in a primary. I don’t think so. As Ted Kennedy found when he tried to pick off Jimmy Carter in 1980, even an unpopular incumbent is still an incumbent.

If the White House political team brings Clinton on board over the next year, they can remove whatever threat exists from that quarter. Meanwhile, Hillary can bide her time and husband her resources, eventually running against Obama’s legacy.

She will have better answers on health care, a subject she has studiously avoided discussing, and could adopt her husband’s centrist approach to trade and taxes to win over independents.
Up until President Eisenhower, the position of Vice President on a political ticket was easily changed.  FDR had 3 different VPs (John Nance Garner, Henry A. Wallace, and Harry S. Truman.).  So it isn't out of the question or against historical precedent.

Joe Biden was originally chosen for his experience in foreign affairs.  A skill it seems, judging from the last 2 years of this regime, neither Joe Biden or Barack Hussein Obama have or ever has aquired.

Nor has Hillary Clinton showed her great skill in foreign policy and foreign affairs in her tenure as Secretary of State.

In fact the trio remind on of the bumbling antics of the 3 Stooges.  It would be funny, but the price to our security is too high for such jokes or jokers.

I have always wondered why Joe Biden was brought onto the ticket.  He brought no electoral votes, no region of the nation to swing towards Obama, he is a bumbler, a fool at times, yet he and not Hillary was chosen to be the VP.  Could it be that the idea of President Biden is so horrible to the nation that the Congress will allow Obama to do anything to prevent that from happening?  Does Joe Biden make Obama safe from impeachment?  If so, why the change of heart?

This is all speculation and will not matter if Obama's polls continue to drop.  Who is going to vote for a President with a 20% or less approval rating?  Pretty much no one.  So regardless of who is on the ticket in 2012, as things look right now, Obama is a one-term President and should be considered a lame duck.

Vatican Supreme Court Prefect Attacks Biden and Pelosi

The former St. Louis Archbishop Raymond Burke, now prefect of the Vatican’s Supreme Court of the Apostolic Signature, told a Catholic newspaper Avvenire that the U.S. Democratic Party is becoming “a party of death.”

Burke is attacking the Democratic Party on bioethical issues – specifically abortion. He attacked Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi for misrepresenting Church teaching on abortion.

He said Biden and Pelosi, “while presenting themselves as good Catholics, have presented Church doctrine on abortion in a false and tendentious way.”

Burke said pro-life Democrats were “rare” and that it saddened him that the party that helped “our immigrant parents and grandparents” prosper in America had changed so much over the years.

Pope Benedict XVI, wrote an undistributed letter in 2004 to American bishops restating the Church position that a priest must refuse to distribute communion to a Catholic politician who supported abortion rights. The Pope is encouraging Catholic bishops to speak out more on political issues.

Will Obama Ask Biden to Step Down?

Update September 21, 2008 : For more information on this story go to No Biden Rumor: No Obama-Biden Campaign Materials in Obama Offices

The rumor that Joe Biden may step down has begun to spread. In less than four days both vice presidential candidates have made statements indicating that Obama made a big mistake in not choosing Hillary Clinton to be his running mate.

On Wednesday, during a town hall meeting in Nashua, N.H., Joe Biden said that Hillary Clinton “might have been a better pick than me.”

According to Fox news, Biden was responding to an audience member who had criticized Clinton.

Make no mistake about this, Hillary Clinton is as qualified or more qualified than I am to be vice president of the United States of America. Lets get that straight,” Biden said in Clinton’s defense.

She’s easily qualified to be vice president … and quite frankly, might have been a better pick than me. But she’s first rate. I mean that sincerely. She is first rate. So let’s get that straight,” he said.

As reported by ABC news, Spokesman Ben Porritt offered this response from the McCain camp:

Barack Obama’s most important decision of this election, and Biden -- the candidate he selects -- suggests, himself, that he wasn’t the right man for the job, and that Hillary Clinton would have been a better choice. Biden certainly has a credible viewpoint on this.

During the third and final exclusive interview with ABC’s Charles Gibson, which aired last night on ABC’s “World News,” Gibson asked Sarah Palin about Hillary Clinton.

I saw you quoted somewhere as speaking rather admiringly of Mrs. Clinton, Senator Clinton, during the primary campaign. Do you think Obama should've picked her?

Palin responded:

I think he's regretting not picking her now, I do. What, what determination, and grit, and even grace through some tough shots that were fired her way -- she handled those well . . .

According to Chelsea Schilling at WorldNetDaily

“Television pundits, talk radio personalities and blogs have been buzzing with speculation about a last-minute VP switch for the party. . .”

Terry’s Blog speculates:

“Don’t be surprised when in the next several days, Biden steps down as Obama’s VP candidate citing health issues, and Obama names Hillary as his new VP choice. . .”

John R. Houk suggests:

"If the rumor pans out and Biden leaves, then the Hillary political machine will make some very good pot shots: nevertheless a McCain/Palin smart campaign could well overcome Hillary’s pot shots by sticking to a BHO indecisiveness that could only be dealt with if Hillary and BHO switch Offices before the election. . ."

Other bloggers have pointed out that unless Biden leaves because of illness or a family emergency the Obama campaign would never survive the shame of having made such a major mistake.

Joe Biden Chooses His Civil Wars

Originally posted at Maggie's Notebook

Let me get this straight: Joe Biden wants us out of Iraq because
"...we cannot sustain 150,000 Americans in Iraq without extending deployment times, sending soldiers on fourth and fifth tours, or mobilizing the National Guard. Even if we could, our large military presence -- while still the only guarantor against a total breakdown -- is increasingly counterproductive..."
and he wants our military forces in Darfur to
"...end the suffering..."
and he
would use American force [in Darfur] now"
Biden
"...and other senators expressed impatience with the lack of progress on Darfur four years after civil strife broke out between Arab and black tribes in the western Sudanese region."

According to Wikipedia:
Sudan has two distinct major cultures-- Arabic-speaking Black Africans and non-Arabic speaking Black Africans--with hundreds of ethnic and tribal divisions and language groups between them, which makes effective collaboration among them a major problem.
According to About.com:
Darfur is a region in Western Sudan, the vast majority of whom are black and Muslim. Darfur, roughly the size of France, is home to 8 million people, and dozens of different ethnic groups.

The most important divisions in terms of understanding the conflict in Darfur are between the sedentary farmers and the so-called "Arab" nomadic herders.

And more from About.com on political conflict in the Darfur region:
These local rebel groups, composed primarily of African Sudanese, accuse the Sudanese government of neglecting the Darfur region and of favoring Arabs over non-Arabs. Their aim is to overthrow Bashir's regime in Khartoum.
Bashir, according to About.com:
...has a strong Arab character and derives most of its support from the north of the country, which is largely Arab.
According to MSNBC news, a proposed force of 22,000 U.N. Peacekeepers and African Unions forces have been approved to be deployed to Darfur but... U.N. Secretary Gen. Ban Ki-Moon has imposed a delay to determine whether the Sudan will ACCEPT international peacekeepers.

Sudanese President Bashir is a politician. He has refused the deployment, fearing a violation of Sudanese sovereignty and fearing that he will be arrested and tried for war crimes.

Then there's the issue of rape in Darfur; alleged rape by Bashir's "Arab-militia" and alleged rape by U.N. Peacekeepers.

Back to Biden's call for American troops in Darfur: On April 3, 2007, The Weekly Standard reports
Biden is saying that Iraq is currently experiencing a civil war and that our troops should have no part in it.
and, Biden muses:
What if our troops become targets in the Iraqi civil war?
Senator Biden, are you the "decider" about who is in a civil war, and a discriminator of civil wars, now? Some are okay, some are not?

I believe Darfur is in a desperate state. They need serious help and the United States of America is more than capable of doing the job. But, oh my, can't you just hear it all now? We go in and not long after, the Left and the world will excoriate this great country. We don't go in, and nothing changes, the Left and the world will excoriate this great country. It's deja vu.

Were it not for the wussification-factor of American Liberals, we would just quietly take care of Darfur, and we would have boldly taken care of Iraq.
