If you are on Medicare and have supplemental insurance get prepared. You are in for a big shock! The envelopes are already in the mail.
See you really haven't been paying attention or you've been listening to all the baloney that "you will be able to keep your same health care insurance" even with Obamacare. Sure you can keep it. Somehow President Obama failed to add that you probably won't be able to afford it for very long!
Billy and Sue just got their notices yesterday. Here's their story:
When Billy signed on with United Mutual of Omaha, in August of 2010, the monthly premium was $92.26. In August of 2011, his anniversary date with the policy, the premium increased to $101.49, a 10% increase which was not necessarily unexpected since at that time overall medical costs were supposedly rising at about 9% per year.
However, in November of 2011, just 3 months later, the premium was increased to $116.71, another 15% increase, which equated to a cumulative increase of 26.5% in only 14 months.
The latest increase notification for November 2012 reflects another 18% taking the monthly cost to $137.72, a cumulative increase of 49.3% over just 27 months!
That's a 50% increase in just two years!!!
His insurance agent tells him that this is very common across the board due to the “Affordable Care Act” since insurance companies are having to absorb the large increases in overall healthcare due to the act.
His wife, Sue's, increases have gone from $101.49 in her starting year of 2011 to $116.71 in November of 2011, to $137.72 in November of 2012, a 35.7% increase in just 16 months!!!
That's a 36% increase in just 16 months!!!
Good health or bad health, it doesn't seem to matter. These increases are coming your way weather you've been to the doctor or not! Get prepared.
And for your own sake, think before you vote!!!
wow! It is great that The latest increase notification for November 2012 reflects another 18% taking the monthly cost to $137.72, a cumulative increase of 49.3% over just 27 months!
