Help Track Costly Stimulus Signs

The following great idea was posted in the left-leaning Fort Worth Star Telegram under the title "Burgess seeks photos of signs touting stimulus projects."

I'm sure that the nonworking partial link to where the photos are to be sent was just an editorial over sight. Don't worry I fixed it below.

Here's an unhypered link to the article below. Just copy and paste if you want to verify:

U.S. Rep. Michael Burgess, R-Lewisville, is asking Texans to document any signs they see touting projects being funded by federal stimulus dollars. He says he and other Republicans can't get an estimate from the White House about how much the signs cost, so they are trying to find out how many exist and where they are posted.

President Barack Obama "spent [millions of dollars] congratulating himself on a stimulus that isn't working," Burgess said. "The irony was too much for me."

He and other Republicans are asking Americans to e-mail photos of stimulus signs to stimulussigns@mail.house.gov

Each photo will be logged on an online map.

Signs have been reported near Waco, Harlingen, Austin and Kileen.

  1. The signs are all over Texas and the rest of the country as well.

The "narcissist in chief" is breaking his arm patting himself on the back.

I know Dr. Burgess well and congratulate him on the work he has done in the Congress this year.
