The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is asking their lemmings to send a message to Glenn Beck. Guess the DCCC is counting on the fact that according the HuffingtonPost, an NBC/Wall Street Journal poll found that 57 percent of those polled "either don't know Beck or are indifferent toward him."
We can safely assume that at least 57 percent of the left's foot soldiers haven't got a clue as to what Beck is all about, or what he has actually said, and will dutifully do as they are told. After all, they are watching NBC.
Here's what the DCCC writes:
Every night Glenn Beck inflames the right-wing fringe with his extremist rhetoric against President Obama.
Send a message denouncing Beck for his inflammatory rhetoric and hate speech.
If you help us make our goal of 50,000 signatures, we’ll send your messages directly to him.
There's a nice little form there and all they ask for is your name and e-mail address. And to just share your thoughts. Hmmmm???
Do you imagine that they would actually forward my letter to Glenn if I wrote something positive?
I watch your show daily and I've never heard you utter "hate speech." You are only asking the tough questions that the MSM has failed to do. It's obvious that you passionately love this country and share traditional American values. I believe that you are one of the most courageous commentators in the media today and I keep you and your family in my daily prayers. God Bless you and yours. P.S. Keep up the good work!
Of course, if I forwarded a copy, including the time and date I wrote the original, to Glenn Beck, his staff could verify. Wouldn't it be interesting if thousands of folks from the "right-wing fringe" did the same thing? Just saying . . .
Not only that, but Beck had the unmitigated gall to publicly proclaim that Godlessness is killing America! No wonder the left is up in arms.
Cal Thomas understands the leadership vacuum that Beck seems to be filling, and that's just another reason why the left hates Beck. Americans want accountability from government, and Beck is demanding accountability and getting plenty of response.
Radio and TV commentator Glenn Beck was mentioned three times in separate opinion columns on the same day and in an article the next day in The New York Times, possibly a record for someone who does not hold elective office.
Oh, and then there's this week's Time magazine cover. He's everywhere. Beck is also the Left's latest explanation for what is wrong with America. . .
