I regularly have 'discussions' with my pastor about theological/doctrinal issues, and he just isn't bothered by facts or reality, as long as he feels good about things. Why am I still going? There are a lot of good people and friends there, and I'm trying to work from the inside out. :) With information like what you've posted here, I'll be ready when this call comes (as I'm sure it will).B J Chttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01413593367847257051noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6960732812801813184.post-52132901028464795072007-09-21T08:08:00.000-06:002007-09-21T08:08:00.000-06:00One of my contributors sent me the following links...One of my contributors sent me the following links covering the NCC's communist ties.

"This is a good source:
http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/groupProfile.asp?grpid=6916, although they confused Sandinistas with El Salvador's FMLN when describing some of the NCC's financial beneficiaries. The NCC you recall, was also at the forefront of the effort to return Elian Gonzales to Cuba. They are and always have been communist. Their real purpose is to suck genuine Christain churches dry of both spirit and funds. Some members may be useful idiots as with the ACLU, but their true purpose is blood red. They are the American branch of the World Council of Churches, whose President told a 60 Minutes interviewer that their worldview was Marxist. I saw that interview. The WCC has always been a Soviet front. Here's another:
http://reformed-theology.org/html/issue07/apostasy.htm

This last has a good thread of conversation from a former Communist who gave testimony about communist infiltration of the church, along with some historical background.
http://www.crossroad.to/articles2/006/conspiracy2.htm

There are many more articles on the web like this, just search under National Council of Churches Communism.

"There really are communists under the bed!" We seldom fall for some of the Left wing stuff that comes along. I know that's a generality, but Baptists are some of the last holdouts on compromising their religion.

No, we're not snake handlers or anything like that, just try to stay grounded and informed.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6960732812801813184.post-78240358764094675602007-09-19T14:45:00.000-06:002007-09-19T14:45:00.000-06:00Excellent! This ...Wonderful piece, Faultline.
And welcome back!

This is your subject and you own it. No one else can speak with more authority on these matters. Many of us weren't even aware of this growing crisis until you brought it to our attention.

How could pledging support for tolerance and fairness and peace be misguided -- or worse, even be dangerous?
Well, you have shown us how.

As you have shown, the forces of the Marxist Left have, once again, ingeniously hidden their internationalist agenda under the guise of peace and righteousness. How can anyone be opposed to family unification or fairness to those on the lowest rungs of our economic ladder? How can anyone support racism and intolerance?

How many well-intentioned Christians, I wonder, will sign these moral contracts without ever reading the fine print, and walk away thinking they've done the Lord's work?

As you have pointed out so clearly, this subject goes far beyond our churches. Once again we are confronting -- I should rather say, you are confronting, those dishonest or misguided adherents to that familiar cult of victimization, those "belligerent victims" who have caused so many problems in this world. And the driving force behind these "interfaith" movements for fairness and tolerance are in reality those same old cynical enemies we've been fighting for decades; and as you so convincingly demonstrate, they could care less about religion or faith.

This is your field of expertise, Faultline, and we need your leadership. Thank you for your strong clear voice.

I look forward to your continuing series.

Great work, Faultline. And welcome home!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6960732812801813184.post-86421616658318983412007-09-19T09:26:00.000-06:002007-09-19T09:26:00.000-06:00Thanks Debbie for your very insightful comments. Imagine how I felt when I saw our Christian campus chapel used on numerous occasions for a Hindu sect service under the good graces of our leftist Christian seminary!Faultline USAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06691318732494110768noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6960732812801813184.post-44198013497900106772007-09-19T08:58:00.000-06:002007-09-19T08:58:00.000-06:00I've had time to read your article now. I agree w...I've had time to read your article now. I agree with everything you say. Most Christian church members do not understand the behind-the-scenes going's on when it comes to ILLEGAL immigration. It seems that word is omitted in most of these discussions.

We have NOTHING against immigration, immigrants from any and all countries, that come here legally. The debate should be centered on ILLEGAL aliens. No, let me correct that. The debate should be on SECURE BORDERS.

These church initiatives leave that out of their propaganda completely. And it is propaganda.

As I have written here before, the World Council of Churches and the National Council of Churches are both akin to the United Nations. They prescribe to "can't we all (religious groups) just get along". And the answer to that is NO, we can't.

There is a reason for different denominations, different religions, and why they are separate from each other. They believe different things. You can't pour it all into one big melting pot of NCC or WCC and survive.

We join certain religions or denominations because we BELIEVE the way the other members of that group believe.

Many in churches are sheep, they follow whatever is preached from the pulpit or in the class room. Very few are actually leaders, who investigate the pleas for assistance that come into their church.

And the world media, specifically American media, can concentrate on nothing but O.J.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6960732812801813184.post-56113562050582512502007-09-19T07:51:00.000-06:002007-09-19T07:51:00.000-06:00Welcome back.
