I would especially like Mr. Longstreet's and Tickers thoughts..

http://tinyurl.com/68crzk

nightmare...
I don't disagree with a moral compass being needed in society, and I'm no atheist, the delivery is what is outdated and you have so graciously done me the favor of displaying, and proving my point...
see how freaked out you got when you thought some one was attacking Jesus?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6960732812801813184.post-73212173810473257942008-11-22T14:22:00.000-06:002008-11-22T14:22:00.000-06:00I am ashamed of the GOP and people like Buffoon.Yo...I am ashamed of the GOP and people like Buffoon.

You people apparently don't remember Reagan and his strong faith and values.

Faith and values are what we should expect from our politicians - it is the only reason we should trust them.--if they have a moral compass and follow the ten commandments which guide us in moral behavior to do things like - NOT LIE.

I agree with Maggie; boot the lefties out of the GOP - and let them join their other godless friends; the socialists who think Jesus was a socialist!

God talk shouldn't be turning people off - it should be warming hearts. God talk is only turning people off because you're accepting the atheist nazi propaganda that's so prevalent in society today...YWNhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11824223917502144266noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6960732812801813184.post-29833539551761943042008-11-22T13:06:00.000-06:002008-11-22T13:06:00.000-06:00YES! I've said the same thing over and over... too...YES! I've said the same thing over and over... too much Jesus talk scares people off...

I find myself agreeing with Mr. Longstreet almost 99% of the time...

is he reading my mind?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6960732812801813184.post-83090530433066584962008-11-21T20:41:00.000-06:002008-11-21T20:41:00.000-06:00The far right religious wing of the GOP needs to g...The far right religious wing of the GOP needs to get out and stay out. They have done more harm to the GOP than anything else within the party. The Wildmons, the Hagee's, Dobson, and Perkins, all wannabe Kingmakers need to go. They , like the far left of the Democrat Party have destroyed what once was a party of the people, the common people. The ones who attend church regularly. The ones who believe in the sanctity of marriage. The ones who are against abortion. That is what once made up the GOP but that was not their only agenda as it became in the early 2000's. The ones who stood for those principles also believed in conservative spending policies and believed in teaching folks how to fish, instead of giving them a fish. The far right wing of the GOP created the disaster of the 2006 election and have themselves to blame for the further decline in this election of 08. Yes, by all means, get out, stay out and let the Mary and Joe American retake the GOP and base it on the solid foundation it once stood for and not on some ridiculous "three legged stool" approach which preaches intolerance toward any who do not hold their "three legged stool" principle to be the Holy Grail of the GOP.
Dick Armny was right when he said that the GOP sold out to the religious far right and it would come back and bite them in the butt.
The far right and the far left make up less than ten percent of the voters on either side but yet have been able to control the total of both parties.
By all means let the religious far right leave the GOP and the far left kooks leave the Democrat Party and we will see a different country, one that reflects what this country was founded upon.

Longstreet this is the first thing you have said of late that I agree with. By all means leave and do not tary GO NOW.
I am ready to see the real GOP emerge once again and good riddance to the religious far right.Tickerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13500388925461726862noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6960732812801813184.post-63874638359750965272008-11-21T10:02:00.000-06:002008-11-21T10:02:00.000-06:00I would like to see the non-conservative Republica...I would like to see the non-conservative Republicans leave the Republican party.

By the time we re-establish, we will have lost many elections. It will take time for voters to accept a third party as viable.

We need to overpower those moderate voices with strong leadership (laughable, huh)?

I certainly agree with you in theory.Maggie Thorntonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01681328690482778919noreply@blogger.com
