An “Honest” Terrorist Writes: “No Muslim Can Pledge Loyalty to the Constitution”

The Keith Ellison swearing-in controversy continues to rage. The focus of this controversy should not be about which holy book should or should not be used, or if and when any book should be used, but rather it should focus upon questioning the adequacy of our American Constitution (specifically the two clauses of the First Amendment concerning the relationship of government to religion: the Establishment Clause and the Free Exercise Clause). Does our American Constitution, which offers blanket and unquestioning protection of religious freedom, create the very means by which the destruction of American sovereignty can be accomplished?

Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Read closely the words of deported terrorist linked Dr. Jaafar Sheikh Idris

Islam cannot be separated from the state because it guides Muslims through every detail of running the state and their lives. Muslims have no choice but to reject secularism for it excludes the laws of God. . . . No Muslim could become president in a secular regime, for in order to pledge loyalty to the constitution, a Muslim would have to abandon part of his belief and embrace the belief of secularism — which is practically another religion. For Muslims, the word 'religion' does not only refer to a collection of beliefs and rituals, it refers to a way of life which includes all values, behaviors, and details of living.

Here’s the bio on the deported Dr. Jaafar Sheikh Idris:
Former professor and director of the Research Center at the Institute of Islamic & Arab Sciences
Jaafar Sheikh Idris was a professor of Islamic Studies and the director of the Research Center at the
Institute of Islamic & Arab Sciences (IIAS) in Fairfax, Virginia. The IIAS wasa nonprofit educational institution affiliated with the Wahhabist al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Idris was also the president of American Open University in Alexandria, Virginia.
Idris was deported in January 2004, along with 15 others affiliated with the IIAS, during a massive crackdown on Saudi extremism within the United States. He also founded the Islamic Foundation of America.
The IIAS was shut down by federal authorities on July 1, 2004 because of its links to terrorism.

Read the words of Supreme Court Justice Harry A. Blackmun in the Lee v. Weisman ruling, 1992.

"When the government puts its imprimatur on a particular religion it conveys a message of exclusion to all those who do not adhere to the favored beliefs. A government cannot be premised on the belief that all persons are created equal when it asserts that God prefers some."

I submit that the corollary to Blackmun’s statement might go like this:

(1) When a government fails to define what constitutes a religion it conveys a message to all that any ideology can pass for religion, and that freedom of religious expression supercedes all other freedoms and overrules all duties of government – specifically the primary duty of government to protect its citizens from harm.

(2) When a government fails to define what constitutes a religion, any ideology with intent to destroy the very constitutional protections it enjoys can hide in plain view while actively undermining the very system of government that gives it protection.

Read What is a Religion?

Here’s an excerpt:

If it is unconstitutional to establish a religion, then it might sometimes be important to determine whether something is a "religion" for Establishment Clause purposes. For example, Malnak v Yogi (3rd Cir.) considered whether SCI/TM (scientific creative intelligence/transcendental meditation), offered as an elective course in New Jersey public schools, was a religion. If so, offering such a course--even on an elective basis--might be unconstitutional. Those challenging the course produced evidence that instructors told students that "creative intelligence is the basis of all growth" and that getting in touch with this intelligence through mantras is the way to "oneness with the underlying reality of the universe." They also pointed out that students received personal mantras in puja ceremonies that include chanting and ritual. On the other hand, supporters of the course showed that SCI/TM put forward no absolute moral code, had no organized clergy or observed holidays, and had no ceremonies for passages such as marriage and funerals. Is SCI/TM a religion? Judge Adams of the Third Circuit applied these three criteria before answering the question in the affirmative:
1. A religion deals with issues of ultimate concern; with what makes life worth living; with basic attitudes toward fundamental problems of human existence.

2. A religion presents a comprehensive set of ideas--usually as "truth," not just theory.

3. A religion generally has surface signs (such as clergy, observed holidays, and ritual) that can be analogized to well-recognized religions.

Unfortunately our constitution was not designed to deal with a religion that is also a system of laws (Sharia) as well as a system of government that is inimical to the American Constitution.

Read: The Saudi Arabian Legal and Social Structure is Examined

Excerpt:
By way of the Establishment Clause, the United States has built a system that inherently creates a certain degree of separation between religion and state.47 This degree of separation should not be taken for granted. For example, countries operating under Shar'ia, or Islamic Law, have little to no separation between religion and state, leaving most Islamic nations under a theocratic type of government.48 In order to make a valid comparison of the different degrees of separation and the role it plays in society, a basic understanding of the Islamic legal and social structure must be achieved.

Last month I suggested a proposed amendment to the Constitution in my article Keith Ellison, Islam, American Sovereignty : Should we Amend the Constitution?

Here’s an excerpt:

Perhaps it’s time for a constitutional amendment?I submit for example: “No person shall hold any office or public Trust under the United States who adheres to or gives allegiance to any religion, ideology, or organization which by word, nature, association, or action has shown intent to undermine the sovereignty of these United States!"

Let us all begin to discuss this issue!

  1. Clytemnestra:

Today I invited a number of opposition bloggers to post comments on this article. Thank you for taking the time to present your case. It is true that Whabi are not the whole of Islam or Muslims, but they are some of the most violent, the most organized, and the most vocal. Many of the “mainstream” Muslim organizations you cited have terrorist ties. There’s nothing “presupposed” about these widely known facts. Perhaps that’s why Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA), recalled an award she had given to Sacramento activist Basim Elkarra “after learning that he serves as an official with the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR).

  2. Great post. My feelings on the subject are clear, I have made them in multiple posts of my own.

If any other politican, Democrat R Republican had the terror ties that Keith Ellison has...Re: Nation of Islam, and CAIR... this would not BE an issue, they would under so many investigations that a political career would be impossible.

Have we become SO PC that we will turn a blind eye just because he is a Muslim?

    That is a mistake.

  3. Interesting post, to say the least.

    Here's my take on it.

First of all, Islam is NOT a religion like other religions - it is a political system hidden inside a religion and the ONLY major religion that makes no bones about the fact that the religion IS the state.

Sorry, Clytemnestra. I have no hatred for Muslims per se, but Islam is not compatible with freedom and democracy as most of us understand it - which is why so many Muslims came here, fleeing their own failed, wretched society.

I find it particularly interesting that you would cite the Islamic Society of North America, a Saudi front that shills for radical wahabism and has been the means for taking over the majority of mosques and madrassahs herein America..thus radicalizing a great many Muslims, to the point where some of my friends avoid the mosques nowadays because they can't handle the hatred preached there.

As far as the question at hand goes, `can a good Muslim be a good American?' Here's a simple test -

    1) if it comes to a choice of defending the Constitution or sharia, which side would you be on?

2)Would you take up arms for America against the Muslim umma if it came to a war?

3)Do you support an America living under sharia rather than our present laws and Constitution?

A Muslims who prides himself on being a patriotic American will answer those questions one way (assuming they're being honest and not practicing taqiya (deception) which the Qur'an sanctifies and mandates.

Someone who is a Muslim and merely seeking to impose his belief system on America will answer in quite another way.

Most Americans are mystified that more Muslims don't expressly condemn Islamic fascism and terrorism without reservation - although some do, in private.

American Muslims who are patriotic will and love this country's freedom will have to end up `going public' to avoid be tarred with the jihadi brush. And that will become more and more evident as time goes on.

  5. Amazing, Clytemnestra! In one short message, you have managed to misrepresent and praise every major national terrorist-support front organization. A little taqiyah, perhaps, or just galloping ignorance?

I agree with you. If it were any Republican, there would be plenty of investigations.

    dumb ox
That was a very good comparison between today and the communists of the earlier 20th century. If people recall their history it was the left then, as now with the Islamists, who played footsie with the communists, who were enamored with communism, who appeased . . .

    freedom fighter:
Wow! I love your test and may want to quote you and use it in a post. This is also a very good quote from you that explains the difference: “Islam is NOT a religion like other religions - it is a political system hidden inside a religion and the ONLY major religion that makes no bones about the fact that the religion IS the state.”

    womanhonorthyself:
Thank you for the compliment. Isn’t it sad, however, than today anyone would be considered brave who is simply defending our constitution against those who would destroy America while writing from the relative safety of our own soil???

    beepless:
I’m sure it’s “galloping ignorance.” Many on the left remind me of young folks coming home for vacation after one semester in college. Remember how informed and brilliant we felt, and how smug we acted, after a little bit on indoctrination?

  7. Well I see that we can agree on something, that the current administration is incompetent. I mean, if you are saying that after 5 + years, countless investigations looking at all Muslim organizations in this country with a fine tooth comb, closing a few, going after and jailing a few Muslims (only to have them released or deported and no terrorism related charges brought) and nothing has been done to these organizations I listed, that you charge have ties to terrorism, then you must surely agree with us progressives that this administration is incompetent and that incompetency spreads straight through to the a majority of Republican Senators and Congresspersons since they have maintained control of both these since 9-11-2001 until today.

It’s nice to know we can agree on something, even if it’s not for the same reason.

    Cheers!

  8. Your points about fortifying the US Constitution against mutated, Left-enabled, sub-human or all too human (?), pathologies are, as Newt Gingrich is declaring, similarly applicable to anachronistic provisions and omissions in Geneva Conventions.

Ahh! Listen now for those who will quote Benjamin Franklin along this inexactly quoted but then felicitous line, "Those who would trade essential liberty....": a nostalgic noise not yet heard defiantly and proudly uttered through gurgling, choking blood. Or did I miss such quotes from Daniel Pearle, Nicholas Berg and others?

In these Orwellian elite-"informed" days I'm reassured seeing native seed corn in blogs like Faultline. A new Greatest Generation may be sprouting online to take hold of the reins of power and arrest our tightening death spiral.

But in the US, as your sentient readers know, we are foolish if we underestimate and don't move immediately to counteract Pelosi and Co. (supply your own dirty dozens) as these and many other storm systems swirl and gather: HR288, evergreen gun controllers, reimposition of the Fairness Doctrine, the amnesty drive, campaign finance, attacks on the electoral college, proliferating Kelo-financed Berkeleys and San Franciscos, the North American Union, Islamization of the military and intelligence services, failure to discern "religiously" garbed political Trojan horses, a de-sensitizing Moloch worshipping death constituency, the noxious Gramscian weeds sewn and cultivated by academia and blooming in the arts, media, education, churches, foundations, government, and guilt ridden trust babies.

Let us pray, gird ourselves and act to save the seed corn's germ of freedom from being forced to lie under scorched earth, dormant for decades: decades awaiting the certain future self destruction of this era's scourge, an oil fueled, sybarite driven, Left enabled, largely savage cult, which may soon drool the blood of its benefactors as it hotly pursues its enablers and us. We can take no comfort in knowing that mullocracy, too, will eventually fatten and become as senescent as the now masochistic and napping West.

Keep up your good work staying away from the Left's genetically modified seed.

This little “seed corn’s germ” thanks you. I couldn’t have said it better. No really, I couldn’t have said it at all. Lot’s to quote from you in your fine comments.

  12. Freedom Fighter,
Couldn't we ask the same question of any Christian candidate?

    1) if it comes to a choice of defending the Constitution or the Bible, which side would you be on?

2)Would you take up arms for America against Christianity if it came to a war?

3)Do you support an America living under Biblical law rather than our present laws and Constitution?

look, the fact is that the beliefs of the People of the Book (Christians, Muslims, Jews) are a lot more similar than you want to believe. And we're all really good at using God to justify killing lots of people. in all of these religions, there are firebreathing radicals who brandish the sword of God and there are moderates who just go to church on holy days.
Christianity and Judaism also both technically prohibit oath-taking (that whole "Thou shalt have no other gods before Me") thing. i know it's convenient for you to forget about it, but it's there.
